I arrived at 11:36 AM and didn't leave until 1:00 PM, which felt excessive for a routine oil change. I've been to this location several times before without any issues, so I expected a similar level of service. However, this visit was very different. To start, no one asked me what type of oil I wanted, nor did they explain pricing beforehand. Even as a returning customer, I believe that kind of communication is essential. I tried multiple times to speak with someone, but the technician was often outside or quickly moving between tasks, making it difficult to get any answers. I also noticed that another customer who arrived after me for the same service had their car completed and returned before mine. When I asked about it, I was told they were short-staffed, and while the technician did apologize, it didn't fully address the concern. While waiting, I received no updates on my vehicle's status, whereas other customers were being kept informed. As the only person of color in the lobby, I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about the difference in treatment, though I cannot say definitively what caused it. Lastly, my oil change reminder was not reset, even though the paperwork indicated that it had been. This lack of attention to detail added to the overall frustration. They immediately called me, and because of their quick communication, I was able to drive an hour away, pick up another alternator, and get it back to the shop the same afternoon. Dave and his team figured out the issue got it running again and without charging an arm and leg. I have been taking my vehicles to him ever since. He has taken excellent care of my latest vehicle 2007 Ford Expedition with 175K+ miles and every time there is an issue he's on it and if it isn't fixed the first time he will take it back in and make it right.
