I've been to this location several times before without any issues, so I expected a similar level of service. However, this visit was very different. To start, no one asked me what type of oil I wanted, nor did they explain pricing beforehand. Even as a returning customer, I believe that kind of communication is essential. I tried multiple times to speak with someone, but the technician was often outside or quickly moving between tasks, making it difficult to get any answers. I also noticed that another customer who arrived after me for the same service had their car completed and returned before mine. When I asked about it, I was told they were short-staffed, and while the technician did apologize, it didn't fully address the concern. While waiting, I received no updates on my vehicle's status, whereas other customers were being kept informed. As the only person of color in the lobby, I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about the difference in treatment, though I cannot say definitively what caused it. Lastly, my oil change reminder was not reset, even though the paperwork indicated that it had been. This lack of attention to detail added to the overall frustration. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this location. I encourage others to be mindful and attentive to the level of service they receive here.

I had already picked up a replacement alternator on my way in, since it would've taken a couple of days to source one locally--unfortunately, once Blake's team began the work, they discovered the part was broken. They immediately called me, and because of their quick communication, I was able to drive an hour away, pick up another alternator, and get it back to the shop the same afternoon. Their tech jumped right on it and got everything installed before closing, ensuring I could continue my trip the next day. That level of effort and professionalism is rare these days. The service impressed me so much that on my next visit to see my mom, I brought the Travato back to Craven Tire to have the shocks replaced. They recommended Blackhawk tires and quoted me $620 for the tires, mounting, and installation. During the call, they also required a $50 deposit, which immediately seemed unusual. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was told it would be quite a while before they could get to my vehicle. I also discovered they were charging $135 per tire for the same tire that other shops were selling for around $80. At that point, I decided not to proceed and asked for my $50 deposit back so I could take my business elsewhere. The owner refused to refund the deposit. Between the excessive pricing, the wait time despite having an appointment, and the refusal to return my deposit, my experience was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this business.
