Nothing personal against North Highlands =) I'm 41 years old and I've lived in Sacramento my entire life. I have been to a ton of tree lots all over the Greater Sacramento area since I was a kid. My family and I went here last year for the first time (due to Yelp Reviews only) and it's by far the best experience I've ever had. The tree's were all shaped nicely and the prices were reasonable. By far though, the best part was the customer service. All of the people working there were extremely friendly and helpful. A few different people greeted us when we first arrived. They offered assistance in finding what we were looking for. They were professional and courteous at check-out. They did a fresh-cut on the bottom of the tree, and removed some of the lower branches. Then they loaded it on my truck for me. If you want great customer-service and an enjoyable tree-picking-experience, and you don't mind the drive, I would highly recommend going here to get your tree.

She was enthusiastic and provided very good customer service. The garden area wasn't too busy. There was a large variety of plants to choose from - annuals, perennials, trees, etc. I bought a few colorful flowers that were annuals and a tomato plants. Many of the flowers were half off during the sale. Nicely priced. Lowe's had a good selection of plants and flowers compared to HD and Walmart, which I had checked out the prior day. I also bought a garbage disposal online for store pickup from this location, but later that day, they notified me that the garbage disposal was out of stock. I reordered from another store and they shipped it to me for free. Good store for home improvement needs and gardening supplies.

I purchased a shower head filter online that was advertised as CHROME and received a PLASTIC item instead. It broke during installation of the filter cartridge. So I tried to "Schedule a Return" via FedEx. I printed the label and repackaged the item - then was told to return it to a Fed Ex DROP OFF location 16 miles away. In other words, I scheduled a refund, not a return pickup. I called Customer Care; no help. After waiting 35 minutes (on hold 3 different times during one call) for someone to answer my question, I found myself suddenly transferred to "Curb Side Pickup" - which is to PICK UP orders at Lowe's NOT schedule a curb side pick up from your home. At least with Walmart, when you schedule at FedEx pickup, they pick up the item from your porch. 1) False advertising of a Plastic shower head filter as Chrome. 2) Misrepresentation of scheduling a return via FedEx. You aren't scheduling a PickUp - you are scheduling your Refund amount. Fool me once: I will not be shopping at Lowe's again.

I'm going to post photos with this review because Emigh always has the hardware I need and it is mostly in the cutting room as they call it. Fantastic knowledgeable customer service, rewards program adds value, seasonal plants this business does business right. I also love how they partner with local scouting programs. If I am competing a project, odds are I will visit Emigh more than once to get it done.

This place is so cute-I haven't been to a ton of nurseries as I've generally picked up my cactus plants at random spots like a midtown market or a Trader Joe's or as gifts from people but I will say this was one of the cuter nurseries I've been to. When we arrived I walked around a bit to check out what they had to offer-what was in season and wondering where the cactus plants were. I liked this little sign they had in the middle of their nursery which advised everyone what was in season and what should be planted at this time of year-for a newbie green thumb person like myself-information like that is very helpful. After walking around a bit I decided on the cutest little cactus to add to my collection at home and it cost me $7.99,so cheap and my daughter decided to get a snow peas plant($7.49).
