My only up to date pair of glasses snapped in half (I didn't buy those from Milan) and I couldn't find anyone who would fix them or swap out the lenses into new frames. Tommy at Milan was so kind and found new, perfect looking frames for me that fit my old lenses within 10 minutes, swapped them in, and fit them perfectly to my face. The staff and doctors (go on Fridays to see Dr. Anna Lange!) go above and beyond to help you find the glasses of your dreams no matter how long it takes (ex. it took 3 hours for me to try on every pair and still pick the very first one that Vlad and his team picked out for me). They have an eye for fashion, as well as a nice variety of styles and brands to choose from. I left paying more than expected for my Kate Spade frames but felt confident that it was worth every dollar, esp with the thinnest lenses possible for my high prescription and the anti-glare/smudge/blue light etc Criztal coating I got. I considered Warby Parker and other similar deals, but as Vlad said, it comes down to quality. Sometimes we need to be good to ourselves and get the best, especially when it comes to our eyes and everyday look. One tip that the Yelp deal (free exam + 2nd pair free) may be better than purchasing their Groupon. I've finally found glasses for ME and can't recommend them enough for your eyewear needs! Vlad and everyone who works at Milan is so personable, and they go above and beyond for their customers. They truly want to see their customers satisfied! The most recent example happened during COVID. I had purchased contact lenses prior to quarantine, and kept putting off picking them up. Fast forward to quarantine happening and me running out of my only supply of contacts. I called Vlad and he was so incredibly helpful. He said he would ship them to me no problem. Unfortunately, due to postal service delays, I hadn't received my contacts. I called to inquire about the shipping etc. and they were so nice and genuinely helpful. Tommy is a life saver. My last optometrist fit my glasses incorrectly and stripped the screws on my new frames so I could barely keep my glasses on my face on Zoom calls all day. I sat on my sunglasses, mangling the frame to all hell, and sought a skilled eyeglass technician to get them back in shape. Milan Optique is in my neighborhood, so I thought I'd give it a try even though I hadn't purchased my sunglasses there. Turns out, there was a genius behind the counter. Within less than two minutes, Vladimir worked his magic, bending the glasses into better shape than they'd ever been. He cleaned the lenses, adjusted the nose pads, and handed them back to me. His pride in his craft was evident. He refused to take a $10 bill I offered him, and asked that I give it to charity. Good people. My brother was with me, and he needed to get an eye exam for his 10-year driver's license renewal, so Vladimir took care of that for $25. He also fixed my sister-in-law's sunglasses, which were along for the ride because their lenses kept popping out. I looked around the store while my brother was having his eyes examined. They shave a solid selection of eyeglass frames of all different brands. Sunglasses seem to be mostly Polaroid, which was actually kind of cool - some great styles, and high-quality lenses. I have gotten excellent customer service with Vlad and Milan Optique. I went in to have my vintage eyeglasses done there. Vlad warmed me to have the optometrist check my prescription. I wish I had! The prescription was too strong. I came back a few weeks later complaining of headaches. I got the eye exam and Vlad is going to have the lenses fixed. I cannot rave enough about the service they provide. And listen to Vlad! It would have saved me weeks of headaches. They also treated my Vintage eyeglasses with care. Dr. Lange was great, but all other employees were very off-putting. I've had opticians at other places upsell things like reflective coating, but Milan Optique felt like a used car lot. I got a prescription that made no sense at all and I was seeing haloing in the office from the prescription the doctor had chosen for me, and the guy was like "nah, that's fine." Terrible experience with customer service- I had to go in twice for a routine exam for new glasses. The first prescription I got was incorrect and resulted in glasses that were blurry and gave me headaches; went in to get it fixed and customer service argued with me, trying to convince me that the issues I was experiencing were anything but the fault of the prescription error. I paid for another exam, which yielded a completely different (and correct) prescription that completely fixed the issue. I received no acknowledgement from them of their mistake or even an offer to refund the price of the second exam. They're scam artists and I won't ever go back. Vlad in particular is a gem- he takes great care in ensuring that every customer leaves satisfied. I've gotten contacts, sunglasses and several pairs of prescription glasses with transition lenses here. I've also brought frames purchased elsewhere and had Milan order the lenses because I'm guaranteed that they'll send them back to the lab for regrinding and not pass them off to me until they're 100%. Doctor is amazing. Service can be better. The girl was very sweet and nice , but make sure that they will explain you insurance benefits before hand. Ended up paying 100$. 45 for a Groupon , 40 $ extra for astigmatism - no one told me upfront or ask me any questions. Also was charged 15$ for store credit.. was not directed about that in a beginning. Was about to purchase glasses as well, had some budget planned on that as well, but with this type of customer service , I don't think it will be a good idea to come back to this office. In general any eye doctor visit would cost me around 100$, but not knowing that upfront makes it the worst experience I ever had To owner Vlad: No one explained me coverage . They just said : contacts are not covered by insurance. They never mentioned that contacts exam is not covered . No one offered me Groupon , I saw it online by myself . Huge fan of this place. Went in for an eye exam and some replacement lenses, staff was super helpful and knowledgeable and their prices were reasonable, not to mention the fact that the staff was VERY friendly and kind and made me feel part of the process (glasses are crazy complicated and I walked away feeling like I knew exactly what my glasses were doing and what I needed). This was my first time at an independent glasses store in a while -- been a Warby Parker person for years, then Zenni, I was down with the cheapo stuff, mostly because I couldn't afford better. I had assumed that someplace like Milan was going to be outrageously expensive. I was totally wrong, and they gave me a set of very premium feeling lenses for only like $50 more than those other places cost (with a blue light filter that doesn't turn your world orange!). You can literally see the difference, and I feel like I'm going to own these for years instead of just waiting for them to inevitably break/get scratched in a year. Vlad made a convert out of me! One of the BEST places you can go for all your eye care needs!!! Lets start with the check up, I took my 6 year old to get her eyes tested and I myself went for an annual check up. The Optometrists was very friendly and funny, we literally laughed thru the entire process, she was very knowledgeable and a pleasure, she explained the process and made sure we understood what she was doing. My 6 year old (who's normally scared of doctors) was so happy and boast about how much fun the experience was, the office was very kid friendly and catered to all ages, my daughter was very comfortable and enjoy the atmosphere. After our exams and check ups, we were escorted back to the counter and explained the billing process and had all our questions answered. Vlad was amazing, he really knows his stuff, very friendly and helpful, he probably went thru his entire store trying to help me pick the perfect frame for myself and my daughter, he made sure we were happy and gave his honest opinion and i didn't feel like i was just being feed bait, like other places where they only show you the expensive frames. Vlad just wanted to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our frames and how it look on us. After we both decided on our frames and the sale was complete it was already late on a Friday night, Vlad went in the back and came back out with 2 bottles of wine... Woohoo!!!
