I got a pedicure and it was actually really relaxing. The chairs were comfortable and the music in the background made it feel calm and peaceful. The place was really clean, even the bathroom, which my mom pointed out too. The people working there talked to us and were really friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Overall the quality of work is good. They are usually pretty quick too, which is nice because I don't want to be sitting there for hours. BUT they charge you an extra $5-10 for the most basic services. If you come in for a fill, they will try to convince you that it's time to get a new full set instead. Okay fine, but why are you charging me an extra $10 to remove my current set? Another $5 for length, and the length isn't even long! $5 for almond shape, another $6 to trim my cuticles another $5 if you want a French manicure... the most basic manicure there is. I'm really disappointed with my experience. I asked Henry to do a square shape once my nails were long enough, and he told me he wasn't able to do it. Also, the length/shape of my nails came out really poorly--it wasn't done the way I asked. If I'm paying over $100, the least the salon can do is listen to what clients request and do quality work. Came in as a walk in for a pedicure and felt very much rushed through the whole process. They give you a number which someone looked at mine literally 4 times within a 15 minute frame. They sit you down offer water, soda ,or wine. I Opted for soda. The lady begin to work on my feet (not much to do) I had to literally tell her cut my nails shorter which she cut at an angle. I was hoping that she would of taken a little longer as I didn't require her to do a massage that is all timed. I went in to get acrylic nails and a pedicure since I had a special event coming up. My acrylics were stiletto black French tip and my toes were a white French tip. I had one man working on my nails and one woman working on my feet. Everything was fine until I requested that they fix something. The man who was working on my nails was especially rude (his name is Henri). To start off, I had asked him if he could make the stiletto tip smaller but he then proceeded to say he can't because my finger itself was too fat. My other nail lady could always make my stiletto shape as skinny to my liking (incase your wondering, I didn't go to my usual nail lady because she was booked and my event was 3 days away) , so I know my "fat" fingers weren't a problem. I also have very average sized fingers. I didn't let that get to me too much though. If you say you can't do anything because of how my fingers are shaped, then whatever it's fine. I was still having an okay time after that. Then I asked for him to make my French tip a little more thicker. Yes, I understand how going back and doing the design over again could be annoying and I usually let these things slide and deal with a design I don't rlly like but I had a special event coming up and this place costs too much money for me to walk out with dissatisfaction. He then told me off saying why didn't I say anything before while huffing and puffing and smacking his teeth and just overall having a very annoyed tone and nasty attitude. I apologized to Henri many many times. I couldn't really see the nails and design all that well because of the angle my nails were at. Once I flipped my wrist up to get a better look i realized I would prefer if the French tip was thicker and felt bad asking him to go and make that change. So I made sure to not make that mistake again. Once he finished making the improvements to one nail I made sure to get a good look at the nail and approve of it before he moved on. I did just that and was still dissatisfied with the thin-ness of the design so I made that clear to him before he moved on. Henri decided to give his opinion on MY nails that IM paying for and say that making the French tip thicker will look ugly and that he doesn't want to do it. I was over it at this point. I told him fine do whatever you want. All his complaining brought everyone's attention to us and I was on the verge of crying. This man gave as little effort as possible and only wanted to do things to his liking. Henri once again gave his opinion on these two gems I was picking out. I wanted the silver gem that were a tad bit bigger than the rainbow ones he was insisting I choose. He said the silver and size will not look cute. MOTHERFUCKER I DONT GIVE A FUCK! THESE ARE MY NAILS, YOU DONT KNOW MY OCCASION (silver dress), AND ARE YOU FUCKING PAYING FOR THESE? JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GIVE ME SERVICE. I work a service job as well and I would never give my opinion unasked for like Henri does. He needs to know that bad service can ruin a whole experience. My nails and toes were about $140 and I did not tip. I always tip but Henri can eat my ass. After I paid, the lady at the checkout desk had a complete mood change once she realized I didn't tip and basically told me to get out. Understandable though. Anyways I had a horrible time and I paid $140 for me to be just okay with my nails and my acrylic nails and toes started chipping way faster than usual when I would go to other places. My toe polish is basically completely gone and one of my acrylic nails fell off and it's only been 2 weeks. Fast, expensive, low quality nails. read more

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel it's worth sharing. The work was extremely sloppy. I was charged extra for things that should be basic, like simply shaping acrylic nails, and even the regular manicure looked rushed and careless. My cuticles were left dry and rough, and the clear coat was so lumpy and unevenly applied. Furthermore, the cuticle oil wasn't even included in the original manicure. It was only offered at the front when I was paying and showed the lady at the front my cuticles. I couldn't use the oil though because the top coat was just so uneven and had huge globs of paint that had to dry. I pointed out how one nail looked really lumpy because of the top coat and the tech seemed angry and just wiped the whole nail off. For what I paid in up-charges, I expected at least clean, polished results, but instead I left with nails that looked worse than when I walked in or that I could have just done at home. On top of the poor quality, the pricing felt like a rip-off. I was hit with several up-charges for things that should be standard. When I questioned the fees, the staff got defensive and even upset with me. To make matters worse, the prices were inconsistent: I was told $5 extra for a French tip on my nails, but for my daughter they said it would be $25 extra for the exact same thing. I heard people around me having the same confusion with pricing while I was sitting for my service and when I was checking out. Also, the towels they placed under my hands to do the manicure seemed dirty they had old polish and chunks of dried acrylic stuck to them. The staff seemed kind but the price almost doubled for each of the services we originally asked for when they added on all the extra fees. I am torn about this place. I cant commit to giving them 3 stars because they are doing ALOT of things right. BUT their pricing strategies are a little off putting. Their service is great you are always greeted with a drink of choice and they don't cheap out on drinks. Their establishment is beautiful!!! Their seats are comfy. Their work is good, but can often be rushed and not top quality due to merchants volume. The true down side is their pricing. Services have a base price BUT everything seems to be extra. And I'm not talking about $5 extra. EACH "additional" thing is "$10-15" extra. Need a different change from square "$10", need a chrome color "$10", they suggest a new set instead of a refill "$10-15" for removal, need a tip on a broken nail "$10", shellac "$20" and it goes on and on. My friend and I went to Milano last week. I got a regular manicure and lavender pedicure and she got the lavender pedicure. Initially, we were both happy with our services, however, my regular nail polish chipped off the day after the service, and there are many more chipped nails only two days later. Unfortunately, I was visiting and have left town and am unable to return to have them fixed. HOWEVER, my main motivation for writing a review is because my friend got an infection on her toe. She was nicked during her service and discovered an infection the following day. She saw a doctor and is on antibiotics. BEWARE! Ladies who frequent nail salons know that being nicked is common, however, an infection is a result of unclean tools. I noticed that they sprayed the tools before using them, but that obviously didn't clean them thoroughly. Gross!! Neither of us will be back. That is unfortunate as the salon is very nice inside. Dear Milano Nail Spa Executive Team, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and profound disappointment regarding an experience I had this afternoon at your Humble location--an experience so dehumanizing, I left in tears, shaken to my core. What should have been a routine moment of self-care and calm quickly devolved into one of the most humiliating and emotionally distressing encounters I have ever endured at any service establishment. From the moment Chris walked over to greet me, I could feel something was off. There was no warmth, no professionalism--just a rush of cold detachment as he hastily pulled out the chair and took my hands without so much as a word. What followed was not a service; it was, frankly, an assault on my dignity. Chris yanked my pinky finger backward in such an unnatural position that I winced audibly in pain. His movements were erratic and aggressive--not once, but several times, he physically pushed my hands out of his way as if I were a burden, not a paying customer. When I tried to adjust or simply understand what was happening, he snapped at me, raising his voice and saying, "You think your nails are done? I'm not done with you." The tone--sharp, loud, condescending--cut deeper than I could have anticipated. I was stunned into silence. I have never, ever, been spoken to in such a disrespectful manner. I tried to ask about a nail color I had selected during my last visit--one your own staff told me was popular and usually in stock. He dismissively said, "No, I don't have it," and refused to even check. When I started to browse through the basket of polish colors he had handed me, he snatched it away with no explanation, forbidding me from even choosing another option. His intention was clear: he would do what he wanted, and I, the customer, was not to question it. The entire time, I sat there on the verge of tears, my heart pounding with anxiety and embarrassment. The spa is supposed to be a place for peace--a retreat where we invest in our wellness and self-worth. Instead, I was left feeling small, disrespected, and physically hurt. I shed a tear while sitting in that chair, unable to make eye contact with anyone out of sheer humiliation. I kept my head down and prayed for the moment I could escape that chair and leave. I am fully aware that your establishment records video footage for safety and quality purposes. I strongly urge you to review the footage from today's date and time--I have no doubt that it will confirm everything I've shared. What Chris did was not just unprofessional--it bordered on abusive. No one who treats clients with such disregard, aggression, and verbal hostility should be allowed to continue interacting with the public under your brand. I am forwarding this email to your executive board and am considering pursuing both legal charges against Chris and a formal complaint against Milano Nail Spa as an entity. I don't write a lot of reviews and the majority are raving reviews about establishments with great service! However, this one is not! I'm revising my original post to provide more detail since the owner, once again, wants to defend and deflect instead of understanding what good customer service means! The issues with my HORRIBLE pedicure are listed below! 1. The tech couldn't properly regulate the water. 2. The tech spilled some of the products of my chosen pedicure when she sat the tray down. 3. The tech didn't follow the proper product application steps according to the 2nd most expensive pedicure they offer. 4. I had to move my foot and leg several times to keep the hot stones from burning me because the tech wasn't moving them properly! 5. The tech repeatedly poured tons of oil on my legs and just rubbed the oil over them without applying ANY PRESSURE, and just ran her nails up and down my legs for 20 minutes. I've NEVER had anyone do that, ANYWHERE, during a pedicure that is supposed to be a massage, including your salon for the past year!! 6. I had to beg the tech to STOP pulling my toes extremely hard! She definitely didn't have any strength issues in that area! 7. The tech had to be told by the lady doing my manicure to apply a clear coat to my nails after she polished them! 8. When I got home I noticed what a terrible job she did painting my toenails as well! Pics attached I decided not to bring up ALL OF THE ISSUES with my pedicure in front of your waiting customers because I thought you would have the decency to provide adequate customer service and offer a solution to the one area of my complaint! Was visiting Humble for the holidays and came in the day after Christmas to get a dip manicure. My partner and I spent almost $200 at this establishment and at the end, I was told the dip nails had a 7-day guarantee. It's been 4 days and not only did the dip break, it cracked my nail in half and destroyed it; because I'm home in another state, I can't go back in to get it fixed. The manager on the phone refused to issue a refund and said the best she could do was give me a $5 credit for next time...as if I would ever go back to a salon that charged me $60 for a manicure that didn't even last from Christmas to new years. Absolutely terrible business practices, avoid at all costs. There are so many more nail salons in the area, go spend your money somewhere where they actually give a sh*t about the people keeping their lights on. You'll see the owner replied to me with the same information I stated. Since again, I live in another state, I cannot come in to get it fixed. A refund is an extremely appropriate request. She insists that no services are refundable because that money goes toward the other parts of the service; let me be very clear that I had no complimentary drinks, my tech didn't talk to me and had AirPods in the entire time, and work this bad does not deserve payment. Let me say directly to the owner who replied: you don't deserve money for work this bad. Your business deserves to lose money on work this bad. The MOST BASIC tenant of business should be to stand behind your work and the work of your employees and with a failure this significant with literally zero ownership over the horrifically poor quality of this work, you deserve to go out of business. But instead, you're charging more than every other place I've ever received this service, so much so that the local place I went to fix YOUR mistakes said "they charged you HOW MUCH for THIS?" So, you'll be just fine to give me back my $60. Your techs will still be paid to do their shitty work, you'll still keep the lights on, and you'll have plenty of people paying you way more than you deserve to make up that difference. New to this side of town and this was a highly recommended place based on the reviews. Such a vibrant and well lit atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by multiple staff. They took me right to a chair and it was PACKED!!!! They are a well oiled machine because even in the midst of prime filling up almost 20 chairs, they were staffed properly to accommodate everyone. They make you feel welcome, offer drinks if you choose, and get straight to work. I got the express mani & pedi because I was pressed for time but they did a really great job in my hands & feet. This was my third trip back to the salon for GelDip nails in a Pedicure. As always, the first time was incredible the second time so so, but what I did notice when coming back the third time the Techs are very chatty with each other on their phones, not washing their hands, and I got a scrape on my heel and 3 weeks later it's scared.
