Want some authentic wood fired pizza? I tried one from Milan's Market, and it was quite tasty. First thing you should know is that they do not have a "brick and mortar" location. The gentleman has his own mobile oven sitting on a trailer. Cool igloo looking oven. Found them at the Farmers Market on F St. They are there every Saturday from 8am to Noon. Their bambino sized pizzas are not cheap, but I would purchase them again once in awhile. My pizza pick came with Fig Jam, Goat Cheese, Bleu Cheese, and Bacon pizza all for $8. He made it in a few minutes, then popped it in the oven. After several more minutes, the pizza was ready. As I mentioned earlier, it was quite tasty. For the price, I wish that more toppings had been included. $8 for a personal sized pizza is high compared to most pizza places. Regardless, Milan's Market is worth trying when you come across them at the Farmers Market or another venue in the future.

delicious!! finally got a chance to try their pizza today at the Haggin Oaks Farmers Market. I ordered the Spicy Americano with no jalapeños on half since I was sharing with my toddler. the pizza was ready quickly and they boxed it up for me to take it home....it smelled so good I couldn't wait till home! I ended up eating a slice on the way home! the crust was crispy on the edges and fluffy. all the ingredients were so fresh and the sauce was to die for! my daughter doesn't always like pizza (she is only 15mo old) but she ate her pieces too! we got there around 11:15 and there were a couple orders ahead of us but we had our pizza in hand in less than 10min for sure! and we watched it being made so that was fun! some might call it pricey but I feel like, for the quality of ingredients you get, it's worth it! next time i'll try a different flavor but they all sounded so good!

I've been following this place on instagram forever & finally got the chance to try them out at the Haggin Oaks Farmers Market a couple of weeks ago. I was NOT disappointed! Each pizza is made to order, wood fired (wood fired pizza at a farmers market?!?! Yes!!!) and the ingredients are perfect. Not too heavy & high quality. I had the margarita then & am back today having a breakfast pizza with ricotta, garlic, cracked black pepper & an egg on top. Does it take awhile to get your pizza? Yes but this isn't fast food, this is the farmers market. I'm here to meander, chat, and generally be a kinder, gentler human so it's fine with me if I wait a little bit.

I have to start this review by letting you know that no matter what, I love pizza. From Lean…read moreCuisine, to a warmed up 7-11 pepperoni, to the Margherita at Frugatti's, I've enjoyed them all. My philosophy is that pizza is like only one other thing in life - even if its not that great, its still pretty good. Thats why it pains me to report that Woodstone, once ranked as one of the best pizzas in Kern County, completely missed the mark tonight. Uber Eats offered a 50% off promo at Domino's this evening, but my wife and I opted to drop $70 on a medium Hawaiian and a "Woodstone" (combination), with a side of boneless buffalo wings instead. Upon arrival, we noticed both medium pizzas were delivered in large size boxes, leaving a wide berth between the crust and the edge of the box. While the pies were delivered in good condition and warm to the touch, they were not as visually striking as one would expect. It was clear that too small pizzas were placed in too big boxes. I dove into the combination first, and immediately noticed a bland lack of flavor. I tried to add some pizzaz with the provided pepper flakes and parm, but no dice. I had to dip my slice in ranch just to choke it down. Unfortunately, the Hawaiian pizza was no better. The crust on both pizzas was hard, almost as if it was stale, and each of the toppings were congealed together in the melted cheese so there was just an amalgam of bland flavor throughout each bite. Both pizzas tasted the same, in fact (not good). I moved on to the wings and they had an off flavor and gummy texture as well. Truly, everything tasted like it was left out from the lunch buffet a day or two ago and someone brushed some garlic butter on everything, nuked it for half a minute, and half assedly packaged it all up for us tonight. The good news is the City of Bakersfield announced that it is acceptable to dispose of pizza boxes in the green waste can now. Sadly that's where this entire meal wound up.

Their pizza is delicious and filling. On my most recent trip I ordered the spicy chicken pizza with pineapple. I know, controversial additional topping. But what's not controversial is how delicious and filling every pizza from Flame's Pizza always is. Even the crust is noteworthily scrumptious. From their classic pizzas to their "Flamelicious Pizzas", all are worth trying. Especially their Indian style pizzas. I've been having fun working through their menu. Their portion sizes are strong and I always end up having plenty of leftovers, which I am always hoping for when grabbing pizza and wings. They have great ranch and do not skimp. I went with the small ranch that came with my chicken wings and was very impressed with the amount of ranch provided, an important metric for true wing and pizza lovers. There were a few employees behind the counter, nobody came to the front to assist me. I have nerve damage in my lower extremities so standing for too long hurts. Not to mention, there's a sign on the counter that's says pizza that is done will be placed on the counter, and to have a seat if the pizza isn't there. So I sat. I'm sitting in the dinning area, table directly in front of the checkout counter, I'm facing the checkout counter. An employee even walked out right by me, made eye contact, checked out the salad bar and then went back to the kitchen without ever asking if I needed assistance or if anyone had helped me yet. A little time goes by, employees are walking around the kitchen where they can see me, nobody coming out to ask how they can help me or to take my order. Some other woman comes in and kitchen staff immediately come to the front counter to help her. I got up to get in line now that some customer service is being offered but a family rushed in the line ahead of me to order. So I'm just standing there, with our pizza done and ready getting cold sitting up on top of their oven, not out on the counter where the sign says pizza is placed when it's done. While I'm standing there waiting for the customer in front of me to finish ordering and paying, another employee comes out to the checkout counter, makes eye contact with me but turns his back and starts sorting ranch. He could have easily just grabbed our finished pizzas and breadsticks and brought it out to me since we had already paid online, or maybe even just asked, "how can I help you?" Any of the many times he made eye contact with me, but he didn't. I was completely ignored. It was finally my turn to get some help. I asked where the pizza is kept once it's finished, so the server pointed to the top of the oven where they pulled our pizza down from. The pizza wasn't even warm enough to feel heat coming from the boxes when they handed them to me. Why I had to wait for others to come in and kick the kitchen staff into customer- service mode is beyond me, unless their kitchen staff is all racist? What other reason could this behavior be? Staff should be rushing to the counter to help every customer the same. So tell me why I was ignored the way I was, yet the kitchen staff rushed in to provide service to other people before me as soon as they walked in? This pizza isn't good enough to be eating it cold and hard after being treated poorly by staff. Get rid of the sign instructing online orderers to have a seat and wait if you're not going to assist customers sitting in your dining room.
