Just looking at these potatoes on a stick makes you want one. They look delicious!!! Especially if you love potatoes! So when we went to The Southwest market this past Saturday I HAD to get one!!! I wish it had more sour cream and a little less nacho cheese. I thought the potatoe was cooked perfectly though, it broke apart with the fork very nicely! And the box container it came in was perfect, it didnt rip apart due to the heat or food. Staff was quick as well. There was a line but the wait was not too long! read more

Anytime there's an event or a market, I make a B-line for these papas on a stick! They are so freakin tasty. The line for them speaks for itself. My go to spud is the loaded baked potato. But they have a variety, as well as classic baked potatoes with choices of meat too. Their service is quick, I think we wait longer in line to place the order than to receive them. Pricing is average, I'd say. But as an elder millennial, I feel everything is overpriced these days. read more

Finally able to try this hidden gem at the Tehachapi Apple festival. Line moved pretty fast, and the guy in front was raving how he goes everytime he sees them. I will now after trying it. The food was amazing and just a community that loves a good potato. Definitely recommend giving this place a try, they were super sweet as well. read more

Get It Twisted is one cool food truck! I've seen them around Bakersfield, but I've only had the pleasure of stopping by one time. Shame on me!! That one time was memorable, though. Their twisted spirally potatoes on a stick are unique and tasty. Very cool how you can customize it to your own way, and they offer a diverse selection of toppings. I don't remember exactly which toppings we selected for our potato on a stick. It all tasted like a seasoned, crunchy, melting pot of potato and toppings yumminess!! It was a nice size portion that my wife and I shared. Should have gotten one for each of us, but I was being a cheapskate. Get It Twisted is one of the better food trucks in town. Need to search them out more often because no one makes potatoes better than they do. Glad to have them in Bako! read more

Get it twisted is what Bakersfield needs! I first saw these type of potatoes made at 626 Night Market in OC & Arcadia so when I saw someone in Bakersfield did their take on it... I knew it was going to be a hit. I have visited them several times already and I would definitely highly recommend this spot. I pretty much have followed them around since their truck has moved from different locations. I was saddened when they moved out of the Farmer's Market and then I thought the mall was their permanent spot and til this day... I wish it was still there :-(. Then when they moved out to Rosedale at the SoCal tamal spot it was super busy since there were numerous trucks out there. I'm yet to check out the current location. I heard they have live bands out there and saw it was a pretty nice location from their posts on IG. I don't know the family that runs this truck, but I can't help but feel so proud of that young man's vision and determination on his future. The truck is ran by the family and anytime I have visited, they are all very polite, friendly and very patient. If you happen to take a peak inside the truck while placing your order, you'll notice how clean and organized each station is, so you know your food is made in a nice and clean environment. The potato itself doesn't need all that stuff. It's delicious on its own, but adding all the extra toppings makes it even better. If you haven't checked out this potato truck then you're missing out. They have added more items since they started so make sure to mix up your toppings and try out the hotdog one. We need to support our local businesses!!! read more

I have been following this business on Instagram for awhile and was dying to try it. I decided to head over one day directly after work and was surprised at how busy this "food truck alley" was at 2:45 on a Friday. The Get It Twisted truck was by far the busiest truck there with about 12 people ahead of me in line but I stood strong and ordered a potato with sour cream, jalapeños, Parmesan, special sauce, green onions, and shredded beef (+$3.00) and a cucumber refresher drink. I was informed that they were about 10 orders behind and I would have to wait about 15 minutes so I waited in my car. I received my order in just under 13 minutes and my only issue was they are not set up for to go orders at all. It was extremely difficult to transport my 2 potatoes home in my car, but I managed to not tip them over on the way home. I thoroughly enjoyed my potato. They are difficult to eat on the stick however, but all you have to do is pull it off the stick. I will be back again and try some different add ons but I definitely want to give that hot dog twister a shot. read more

This food truck comes to the kids school for events And OMG it's the thing I look forward to every time! I get the loaded potato with secret sauce and jalapeños and it's amazing every single time. I highly recommend these "potatoes on a stick" how my 5 yr old son calls them. They are very delicious and you can't beat the price especially with as many toppings as you like to add to your potato. They are the perfect snack on the go especially if you're driving but you shouldn't.. lol And let's talk about those waffles on a stick delicious ....delicious they are also available with toppings of your choice. Bad customer service in multiple locations . We have tried them inside GSA , on white lane and even at a high school. They always have horrible attitude . Never had took the time to be negative because I just get the order and go but today at a high school event , my daughter had someone holding her spot in line because she was running late , and they refused to serve her so , the bell rang and she was left without lunch . They came to my work. I ordered the potato toppings and added the special sauce. Which, by the way, is like 1000 island I have never had a potato cook this week before it was amazing. It reminded me of sidewinder fries so it was like having loaded fries. I was thankful that they were not greedy with the sauce or the toppings. There was plenty throughout the entire potato. None of it ever seems dry. Everyone that I don't was extremely friendly and very helpful. I know some of my coworkers only had a half an hour lunch so it was very nice that you could walk up order and they were ready to go and handed it to you before you ever walked away from the window. I have been following the business through their IG account and I was happy to finally try them in their new location. I had the loaded potato and they definitely don't skimp on ingredients! I initially intended to save half to eat at home but it was so good, I actually finished the whole dish in one sitting. Mind you, it was not a small serving. Think potatoes with bacon, nacho cheese, sour cream, and green onions - the works! Paired it with their cucumber refresher and it was even more perfect. Amazing!!! My husband and I tried the loaded potato and it was 10x better than a loaded baked potato. The potato was fried to perfection with generous toppings. Saw this place on instagram.... And had to try it. Followed them on their weekly schedule to find a time that worked out. Staff is friendly . Hard decision to decide what delicious toppings you want for your potato. Asked one of the workers for popular suggestion .. he told me the one that was like a baked potato... can we say uhhh great choice. The potato is cooked well; the toppings make it feel like ur eating a nice juicy; warm potato with all the trimmings . That bacon adds it. This place deserves much more recognition! It it so delicious! I tried it for the first time today with my fiancé. We were able to get our potato loaded up with different toppings. It's like a loaded potato but on a stick. It's twisted lol. I've never seen anything like it, and it's truly unique. The potatoes are very big! They are set up on the Northwest corner of Calloway and Rosedale Hwy. It's located in a great place because there are other food trucks in the lot. You can try everything in one spot. I love it! While the other trucks had a 15-20 min wait on food, we got our potato right when we ordered. Since we were trying this for the first time, we split a potato. They did half and half on the toppings. It's like building a fried baked potato in shape of a corn on the cob. Lol. We got nacho cheese, bacon then I added on my side I added sour cream, green onions and jalapeños. read more

Been eye balling this place for a while. Heard nothing but great things. Of course they didn't disappoint! We were finally able to try them at our daughters school carnival. They have a great selection of toppings. The twisted potato had a great texture, with some parts crunchy and soft with great seasoning. Would recommend the chorizo over the tri-tip as a topping just due to the fact the tri-tip was only 4-5 pieces. Btw no one really talks about how good their lemonade was. Stopped at the food truck court to see what they had and to our surprise we found Get it Twisted! So fun, kinda like fair food all year long! We tried three different twisted potatoes and were SO happy with the final product. It was cooked absolutely perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft as butta on the inside! My favorite was the nacho cheese version, dotted with crunchy hot Cheetos powder. SO SO good!! We loved them all!! Had two different lemonade drinks as well and they were great!! I've always seen this place at the Bakersfield Market during the weekends. It is a good truck so they are at different locations from time to time. Decided to try them and my goodness they are good! Can't believe I've been missing out every time I come to the market. The potato is well cooked not too crunchy or soft. The seasoning and toppings are on point. Also, it's huge! I will be honest I've tried the drinks here 3 times at GSA and the first time I was like okay they maybe ran out of sugar or something I tried the second time with no ice, watered down again, third time I said to myself maybe they fixed the problem but no they didn't every single time I've had there drinks they were watered down no taste/flavor what so ever! Finally was in the area of the mall to try one of these and it did not disappoint! Luckily there was someone ordering ahead of me and I asked her what she got. She said everything but ketchup and chili so that's what I got but minus the hot cheetoes too. OMG so delicious!! Probably wasn't a good idea to eat in the car, but I couldn't help it! It was late afternoon so I figured it would be a snack but it was very filling and got me through the night! Highly recommend and will definitely being going back! read more

Get it Twisted is a treat and a must have I've had them when they do special event and random pop ups but now being at Valley Plaza parking lot is so convenient and awesome I can catch them on a daily basis this company is always levitating itself with adding tri tip & chorizo they always seem to top them selves and always come up with recreating themselves top them selves off with more options now than they started its no wonder its a must have and becoming a house hold name here in Kern County so if your near by Get it Twisted trust me stop by try it and you will see how bomb and delicious the food is and for it all to be run by a recent high school graduate is the cherry on top support local and have your self a treat by a innovative company that is thriving and changing the potatoe game ! read more

Okay, I can handle that. $6 and tax and that is still pretty good deal and I'm in line and in a hurry and such and this particular McDonald's figures they can save some money by having one person take orders on both drive thru lanes and take the money too which it's lunchtime and the cars are backed up and it's not really working out so well for anyone except the bean counters I suppose and when I get to the gal to pay she says my total is $7.04. So my $5 meal is now $7.04 which I just couldn't do because I felt like I was getting taken for a ride. I wasn't mean to the gal, and like she says, it's just what pops up on her screen but I decided that I'm just not meant for these fuzzy math days. Please someone at McDonald's get this woman's some help. Two stars for the overworked woman zero stars for McDonald's talking up their $5 meal and then up charging me twice.

Sometimes small like no sauce (that paid extra for) sometimes entirely wrong orders or missing items, which we have always just sucked it up and dealt with if it was one item or we got equal value in wrong order. Well, tonight they gave our pickup order to the car ahead (oopsy but they caught it because that car came back around). Well, they hand us one overfilled bag and close the window. We pull ahead and realize oops no drink, we'll just run in really fast. Go in, wait a few minutes that's fine. Employee turns and goes "What." Explain we didn't get our drink. She turns around and calls "The person from drive thru forgot his drink." Which, if it was already made and ready then one would assume they'll just hand it over. But it took several more minutes as they filled a cup. So sure, we got our drink and the order finally but I don't recall paying extra for attitude. We normally have a nice lady at the window, but guessing she had the night off just felt the need to rant because when you screw up you shouldn't then also be rude.

They were very nice, told me to have a great day (which i thought was great because McDonald's workers never say anything & just shut the window on you), & they handed me my food. The food was super fresh & the fries were HOT & tasted like they were just made. Perfect. Very great service. Sadly my 2nd visit is the reason why I dropped it to 2 stars. I would have gave this location NO stars if I could. But, the employees that helped me my 1st rime were great. This 2nd time was on May 6th, 2020.. I went thru the drive thru & was attended by an African American young male. As I tried to say my order he kept cutting me off multiple times and I could feel how bothered he was to help me.. he would not let me finish a sentence at all. He was extremely rude.. I ordered a shake and he said "uh for reals? what else?" I couldn't believe what he said. Not only was the service the worst I have ever had, but the food was horrible. The fries I received tasted as if they had been soaked in oil and were extremely soggy. I had to throw them away.. and from the many times he kept cutting me off I'm not surprised that he got our order wrong too. I ordered McDoubles & received McChickens instead.. Shame on that young man. With an attitude like that please do everyone a favor and don't get a customer service job if you don't want to serve customers..

Today I checked before leaving, and once again they were missing. I had to go out of my way to go inside and let the staff know. When I brought it up, instead of simply correcting the mistake, both the employees and the manager argued with me about the sauces--even though I had paid for them. They questioned how many bags I received and insisted they had given me everything, which was not true. I had paid for three ranches and only received one. This is not just about the sauces--it's about the repeated inconvenience of having to interrupt my plans and run late because my order is not fulfilled correctly. On top of that, the customer service today was completely unprofessional. The manager gave me an attitude and, instead of handing me the items respectfully, tossed them at me. That is unacceptable. I understand that the store gets busy and that staff have a lot to manage, but customers also pay for their food and should receive what they ordered without being questioned or treated disrespectfully. At this point, I am seriously considering not returning to this location because of the poor management and lack of professionalism. I really need to contact someone higher up about this issue, because the way I was treated today should not happen to any customer.

I wish I went to a different location. I placed a mobile order, and it took over 10 minutes for them to make the order, which was just a caramel macchiato, one hash brown, and donut sticks. My sister also placed an order for a mocha. I watched as the employees walked aimlessly around, reading the orders out loud and literally doing NOTHING about it. Some sort of manager was there too and STILL nothing was getting done. After ages of waiting (and they weren't serving anyone else inside) I asked about my order, and they said they were still waiting on the donut sticks and macchiato. When my sister and I FINALLY got our stuff (we rushed to our car because we were so frustrated from the horrible service) and continued with our roadtrip, we both drank our macchiato and mocha to find out it was literally just coffee and milk. So after way too long of waiting and the ages it took them to make our coffees, THEY WERE MADE WRONG. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because my hash brown and donut sticks were nice and warm. This visit reinforces me going to Starbucks, their mobile order system and customer service is worth the extra money. This McDonalds desperately needs to train their staff better.

The ambiance at the drive thru was damaged screens and lots a bees. The food, I ordered no pickles on one hamburger due to allergies and when I went to take a bite there were two pickles. I had to take some Benadryl before it got worse. This is a big deal for me. Staff needs to pay better attention to things like this. It could have sent me to the ER. Please double check orders for things like this. To top it all off I ordered a large fry and it wasn't even filled all the way. This meal was very disappointing and hazardous.

Customer service is lacking, the food quality is horrible, the coke is off, they forget things consistently. The one on Mt Vernon is almost as bad so can't go there either.

I asked the driver ahead of me how long he'd been waiting; he said "15 minutes." There was one car ahead of me and three behind me and I couldn't leave. I wondered if an employee had been dispatched to shoot a steer or catch fish. I decided to call the store. The person who answered apologized saying, "It's been a real crazy/busy day and I have to catch up on my paperwork." Paperwork?!? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I won't be back. The only other fast food chain in town is Taco Bell. I'll drive the 15 miles to Kernville for a better burger that comes with good customer service.
