Absolutely delicious pizza! Generous with their toppings. The sauce to cheese ratio is just about perfect. Also, don't sleep on their sub sandwiches. Pastrami is , hubby loves the salami. This restaurant needs a lot of TLC. The establishment is run by a friendly family, making the service decent however, food can sometimes be a hit and miss. It's a great place to catch up on some football and I've seen plenty of parties hosted. we only really return because it's better than the very few pizza spots in our neighborhood. read more

This is one of the best pizza places in Bakersfield. The people that work there are nice and friendly and the food is great and affordable. I always get a cheese pizza and a vegetarian pizza. Their veggie pizza is probably the best I've every had, the mix of the vegetables work well together and they are baked to the perfect texture/consistency, other places I've had always have soggy vegetables that lack in flavor or color. Haven't been here in years but today I'm glad I stopped by. The staff was super friendly and happy. All the ingredients used in the pizza were outstanding. The pizza crust was medium thick and just the right consistency from center to edge making eating the outside crust enjoyable. The potato wedges were tasty as well. The only thing I can say which may or may not be an issue for some is that the ranch sauce was on the thinner side. Also large amount of room and televisions to watch multiple games on inside. Ordered a Hawaiian for my kids and they put jalapeños on it. I understand people make mistakes but it's so inconvenient when this is my kids dinner and we live far. I can't just pack up my 10 month old and 2 year old and run back to the restaurant easily. They said they'd put a ticket in the back so I could get a free pizza next time, the "free" pizza being the correct pizza I ordered. I wish they made me feel better about the inconvenience but when I told the employee on the phone to have a good night he hung up on me. We liked this pizza but we'll order from Little Cesar's or somewhere cheaper. Sorry Magoo's you gotta own up to your mistakes and not be burnt because I said something. I appreciate the "free pizza" but your attitude meant more to me. read more

I always rave about this pizza place. It's so delicious. The quality is amazing. After my boyfriend showed me this place, I literally can't eat any other pizza now. Even day after left overs are phenomenal. The wedges are so bomb and the fried chicken is fried to perfection. I could talk about how delicious this place is all day. The service is fantastic. Pinter is always there every time I go. He's a super cool guy and always super nice. He's always in a great mood and definitely makes the environment vibe great. He's so friendly. Always really good food and helpful and friendly customer service! Been ordering from this Magoo's on Auburn for yrs and the food is consistently good. The pizza always has a really good amount of toppings and their crust has that old school yeast flavor that you just don't find with these pizza chains anymore. The chicken is juice with a great flavored coating and the wedges are seasoned and cooked good also. The reason for the 4 stars is because the restaurant has a sports themed environment and there are tv's on every wall and it gets very loud, so I don't usually dine in because of that. The bummer about take out is they have a really good salad bar, which I don't partake in when we do the pick up but also, sometimes it's nice to go out to eat. read more

Awesome pizza! Fast delivery! Good customer service, the pizza is a bit pricey but it is a nice splurge every once in a while. The combo pizza is legit. I ate some the other day and by the time I walked outside my truck was lifted and I had 22" biceps. The inside needs a bit of a renovation but the food is great. Try it out and make sure you bring a towel. Eating this pizza gets you wet. read more

I live nearby this joint and always see vehicles in the lot... We had eaten here before a couple of years ago but had been underwhelmed. I decided to give it another shot. The place was clean enough... The staff friendly enough... and the food was enough, but not enough to write home about. We were able to figure out the vehicles in the parking lot though. Evidently a few "regulars" stop by every night, occupy the same table and drink until they have had their fill. I guess that works for some but I was there for a pizza. Overall i would say this is a solid 3 star joint. Possibly 4 if you are trying to kill your liver. read more

This was my first time eating here my husband and I arrived at about 9:30pm 30 min before closing, we asked if it was ok to eat here since they were closing soon they said it was fine . As we are waiting for the food the worker walks up to me (very nice person btw ) and tells me the manager is putting our food in a box and said we can't eat in the facility cause he wants to go home already. We were visiting Bakersfield from L.A. for my brother's soccer tournament, and we stumbled upon Magoo's. Pretty good, especially for your money. But not the best. Pizza is extremely oily, and after one slice, a chicken wing, and some potatoes I felt like I was going to collapse. We got a good deal for ~$26: large one-topping pizza, 2-liter bottle of soda, potato fries, and fried chicken. A LOT of food--bring friends when you go. Felt a little dirty, but had that pizza parlor feel. They're also open late, which would benefit some people. Not bad, but I will probably try something new next time I'm in the area. read more

Usually we have no problems from this place, but tonight has been hell. We ordered 2 large pizzas, wedges, and a soda @ 6:41, received the order (almost) @ 7:37. It is now 8:20 and we are still waiting on our soda. The driver forgot the soda, and we have been going around and around trying to get her back out here with it. And that is not the only issue. The pizza, usually really great, was overcooked, hard, and tasted like cardboard. This has been a very disappointing experience and I hate to say it, but they may have lost some customers tonight. Were we compensated for this ridiculous bull that we are still going through? Nope.....still waiting on the dang soda we ordered to have with our dinner. read more
