We're locals who were trying to patronize a local restaurant. We've been coming since they opened. It's been a while cause we like a nearby burger tavern but thought we'd swing on for a beer and dinner for fun. Well, that'll be the last time we come here. $21.00 for a burger and fries. No pickle on the side, it's all ala carte. Not sure if you've been to Jaks steakhouse in Seattle, but their half pound burger with fries is $17. This is a former tractor dealership with lots of flies. Wayyyy out of line on pricing. There is not a more expensive place to eat a burger in eastern Washington. The owners got too greedy. Food was okay, what you'd expect for a small town sports bar, the food lacks in flavor and is exceedingly greasy, the fry sauce was the best part of the meal, the service wasn't attentive or overly friendly, but it's a cute spot that definitely has potential, probably a nice place to grab a beer in the summer but I wouldn't recommend going for the food read more

I usually do not rate so low and this was an isolated incident so here goes! Last summer My wife and I stopped by for lunch where we were directed to sit at a table with wooden chairs. Half way through lunch my wife's wooden chair collapsed underneath her causing her to fall on the floor. The staff showed little concern over the incident and their response to help her was not immediate nor did they compensate her ;-( Word of advise is check the wooden chairs legs before sitting down, I doubt that the staff does. She sat on a broken chair set to collapse and luckily walked away with only bruises. Not sure we were ready for this experience! read more

While finding a brewery in Wenatchee area with a great selection of micros from around the region is pretty cool, And I probably would have given the place four stars for that alone. My group of four stopped in for lunch. Views outside were cool, service was very good, and themed decor of the place was great for a brew pub. Sandwich left much to be desired. The Marbled Rye was a highlight of the corned beef sandwich. The sauce occupying the inside was minimal. and the meat? What meat?? Quite possibly the smallest portion I personally have ever witnessed on a corned beef sandwich, or any sandwich for that matter. We went for lunch. We were seated and waited more than 25 minutes without being talked to. Servers walked by without talking to us. We asked for a server and we were told someone would be right with us. We watched other tables get served that were seated after us. I am very disappointed. I used to love this place but I'm really disappointed with my last visit. I ordered a BLTA and I was disappointed to find out that fries aren't included in the meal. For $15 you would think that you would get a side. Not only that but my avocado was rock hard. I had to take it off my sandwich. Guess that means I only got a BLT for $15. Bummer. read more

We like to check out the local breweries as you can usually expect to get good food, in addition to the craft brews. Milepost 111 didn't disappoint. A half order of truffle fries was plenty to get us started, fresh and very tasty. Our fish tacos were wonderful, light and flaky with fresh toppings. Three tacos to an order. Craft beer selection was very good, about 20 on tap, including five or six of their own. We enjoyed a stout and a rye-based saison. Great vibe in the restaurant and the service was outstanding. The food was good and their locally brewed beverages are interesting. I had the cherry kombucha and really enjoyed it. The food delivery was really slow, nut just for my table but for the others around as well. I arrived at 12:30 to a relatively empty restaurant, with a few trickling in before and after. I never was hugely impressed by the food at Milepost and it was on the high end for what I would pay for a good burger. Now everything comes a la carte so basically you are paying $16 for a burger alone or $21 for a burger with fries. This is way over priced for the area and the quality. I grew up in Cashmere but live in Seattle now and visit friends and family often. I've seen many restaurants come and go with little character or lasting presence in this small seasonal community. I had lunch at Milepost 111 today with my mom and I was really impressed! I love the atmosphere and I was so excited to see more than one vegetarian option! I instantly wanted a beer when I walked in, but since it was lunch and I was headed back to Seattle soon I refrained. Had I been staying longer I would have ordered from their impressive draft selections! They even had a pear cider on draft! Wow! We were looking for a lunch spot driving back from Lake Chelan and this place was an AMAZING gem! Hubby was happy with his Pinnacle IPA and amazing BCTA sandwich (like a BLT). I loved my fish n chips and truffle cut fries (so yummy). Milepost 111 is a great restaurant. We liked it so much that we went for dinner, and then again for lunch. Some people have complained about the prices, but they are comparable to what we would pay at a brewpub in Seattle such as Elysian, Pike or Pyramid. The lunch options are quite reasonable in price! We had a flight of beers, a burger and fries, a veggie sandwich with coleslaw and a side of macaroni and cheese. Too much food for the two of us, but the total bill was about $27. The restaurant has many vegetarian options. My wife liked the lunch veggie sandwich with the balsamic cream cheese, but wished the balsamic came through a bit more. The black bean burger is mostly black beans, in comparison to most house made black bean burgers that have more of a grain mixture. The black bean burger could have used a bit more sauce, as it was a bit dry I liked the beef cheese burgers. Classic. Sides: The truffle fries are great, the coleslaw was tasty and the macaroni and cheese really stood out. The Mac and cheese was baked and my side came as a square of it. Very creamy for a baked mac! Deserts: We tried the cloud 9 peanut butter pie. It was very rich, and we were glad that we split it. I recommend it! Beer: A great NW selection. I thought it was funny that they sell beer cheaper than many of the originating brewpubs. The taster option was a great deal! Four 5 oz pours for $6. I wish we had something that cheap in Seattle! Hopefully if we come back to Cashmere in the future we will get to try something homemade. Minus one star because: It was a little hot outside (the restaurant is open air to the outside) and there was no cooling system for the patio. The black bean burger was good, but I've had better. So, the fam and I were vaca-ing in Leavenworth for a couple days doing the tourist thing on Front Street tasting some killer smoked Gouda and goat truffle cheeses at The Cheesemonger shop when I mentioned that I was hungry for some real good food but tired of the Touristy Rent-a-crowd joints in town when the very lovely young lady behind the counter recommended that it would be worth the drive to try out the truffle fries at Milepost 111 Brewing Company in Cashmere. Well, considering that I have already tried (...& been only moderately satisfied with) the German fare in town, I decided to heed the advice from a local, gathered up the ladies and took the relatively quick but scenic drive down to Cashmere for dinner. Milepost 111 is easy to find. It's the first place you see on the right when you cross over the Wenatchee river bridge into Cashmere. It looks very unassuming, like a converted garage from the outside, and decorated in a relaxed postmodern sports bar motif on the inside. The beer menu reflects a discerning collection of regional craft brews on tap (I highly recommend that you sample and experiment with as many as you might find prudent), and the small batch brewed bottled root beer ain't half bad either. Ok, the service was great. Believe me when I tell you that I am not overly demanding when it comes to food service, so I am actually quite amazed at how often I am disappointed at what should be a reasonably attainable task. But I digress. Our server was engaging, friendly, attentive. Great guy. He made sure our dining experience was worthy of our effort and enjoyable for everyone. The food, on the other hand was excellent across the board! We went for the truffles fries, but were pleasantly surprised by the accompanying entrees! I had the Prime Rib dip with an Au jus that was not only obviously made in house, but had a substantial body and flavor the likes of which I have very rarely enjoyed! It was superb!!! As a matter of fact, I highly recommend ordering an additional portion and pouring it over the fries to create the best poutine this side of the Canadian border! The girls each had the Mac and Cheese. (This is no Box variety, I can assure you!). It is made in house with quality cheeses, an understated topping, and the subtle but game changing binder of free range organic duck eggs! All I can say is "Wow"! Take my word for it. Met some friends here for dinner and was pretty pleased with the experience. Not fancy food but good quality ingredients and large portions combine to make for a delicious meal. I'm fussy about how I want my burger cooked. I like it cooked so well done it's almost crispy. This is a result of eating at places that pull a frozen patty out of the freezer and throwing it on the grill, cooking the outside and leaving the inside mushy. When you can't tell when your teeth leave the bun and hit the meat it ruins the experience for me. (Take note, Bob's) Milepost 111 uses fresh, grass fed beef, hand formed in to patties and cooked to order. This alone is reason enough to make this my burger place. Service was excellent and the server had a good sense of humor. Very attentive without being overpowering. Decor is lacking... But it could be considered rustic by some standards, just not mine. Well, Been to dinner there three times. each time a little frustrated,, for a brew pub and in the area seems like a very limited menu and very over priced. Looked to see what the cheapest was and it was a ciabatta sandwich at $10. The waitress, Who finally came to us after a long wait said..."Oh, I didn't know I was supposed to wait on you". I asked for a beer menu,,,she kinda looked around and found one...But to me it looked like it had been used as a place mat.....Food soiled, beer soiled,,,,And then she said...It isn't really up to date but it's the best we have....... As there was two of us I asked for another onhe....That was a mistake,seemed like I had asked for the moon. After she found the second beer selection she told us the specials....Didn't mention the price. I ended up with the $18 steak and oysters.........Steak Hmmmm...might have been a five ounce optimistically.......And on the tough and not that tender side.......Oysters....Well, thank god there is a "plural" in oysters as there was "two" oysters. Then the mistake was made...What accompanies that....HMmmm french fries.... So,, A small below average steak....Two small oysters.....and french fries...$18...I kept waiting and listening for planes to land...I thought I was in some airport restaurant. Burgers were on the menu and they seemed to have a wide selection.....But...What the heck can you do different to a burger.......Put dark seeds on the bun?? Use garlic aeoli instead of mayo?? Tell us the cows are all happy when we kill em?? Price and portion are two big issues with me...Followed second by selection and variety of menu. My new thoughts to make dinner work at this place was to do some appetizers and the beer "flight" samplers. then go next door to Country boys and get a good meal with ample portions. Pros: great local beer selection. If you have kids and like beer, you can come here with the whole family. Although, the kid factor could be a con to some. The food is pretty good. Cons: the service is horrendous. No fault of the servers who obviously were working as hard as physically possible. They were just understaffed, which made me feel really bad for them. Overall it took hours to get our meals. Technically, I didn't get mine because they failed to tell me they were out of wings until they were serving everything else. I hate to give them a bad review, but Cashmere has many other better places to eat and drink that have adequate staffing to deal with a holiday weekend lunch crowd. read more

Let me start with, the food is good, get the truffle fries, trust me. And the staff is really nice. However, I really wish they knew what was in their food. I have a dairy allergy so I have to ask all the time what is in things like bread and fry sauce. I am always shocked when people have no idea. Or don't keep the packaging or ask for an ingredient list when buying local. For me this changes the dining experience. If I order a burger, I would love it to be on a bun, or some type of bread. $14 is a lot for a patty and veggies. read more
