The best place to get fitted for shoes, hands down! It's a cozy store but with ample parking(such a win in PB) and personalized attention. They have excellent brands and they are not trying to simply sell. They want you to have a great experience. Dylon was extremely helpful educating me about my shoe pick and some other famous brands. The store asst were excellent too, who helped me figure out which shoe worked best with my orthotics. I went from a 6W to a 6.5 in the same brand, Brooks Ghost. They also placed a straight to home order for a cute color online! They have a really amazing run club which makes you feel very inclusive even if you want to walk! Had an awesome experience getting a pair of running shoes and socks. Past this store many times but first time going in. The shoes I've bought in the past at big 5 or footlocker were not it because of the people working at those stores. Milestone running has a motivated and EXTREMELY knowledgeable group of staff who care about what they do. Lexi helped me out by asking shoes that I'd liked wearing in the past and found me a good shoe that fit the profile. Where treatment became very five star is when she asked me to take a lap around the parking lot to watch my run form. She then brought me two other pairs of shoes that might be good for me based on my run form. I was already in love with the first pair I tried on but they really want you to get a good match. 26 years ago I was setting out to run the first RnR marathon. Of course I'm in shoe panic mode, so I hit up a large running store up off convoy, but I won't mention the name. I just needed to talk someone that ran some decent mileage per week. The person helping me was not a runner, and there wasn't an employee in the store that ran. Needless to say, left and never returned. That's when I found movin shoes which turned into milestone. Been buying my shoes there ever since. Well my 26th RnR marathon is in one month and I needed new shoes. I hadn't changed shoes since I had a toe amputated two months before last years marathon. Went in and Greg spent so much time asking questions, watching me run and trying on multiple shoes. I've been running for a while, and I truly believe he found the best shoe for me and my funky feet. I've shopped here twice and both times had amazing customer service. The first time the sales associate stayed open late so I could run home and get my custom insoles. The second time one of the owners help me navigate finding the best shoes for a group fitness class. The prices are awesome and the customer service is outstanding. I had been scouring the internet for a specific color of Hokas that kept selling out online, and I ended up finding them in this running store less than 2 miles from my house. Their space is clean, organized, and festively decorated with San Diego-themed murals painted throughout. In non-COVID times, they hold community events like the monthly Mt. Soledad 10k. Not to be that person, but there's just a positive energy that radiates from this store. My mom came with me because she was running errands nearby and wanted to check it out. She ended up finding the perfect pair of shoes! We were helped out by Mike, who is not only patient and knowledgeable, but just an overall cool dude to talk to. She told him she was a size 6.5, but he took one look at her feet and brought out some 7.5s to try instead -- and they fit perfectly. Mike was able to quickly suggest shoes that met her comfort (needs cushioning) and activity (walking/easy hiking) needs. They even came in a color she loves! It's clear that he has more in-depth product knowledge and experience than employees at most big box running stores. Will definitely be coming to Milestone for all my running shoe needs in the future. Need a new shoes that were better for walking so found this place on yelp. Walked in to find super easy going knowledgeable staff member. She greeted me warmly and I told her my dilemma, I have an issue with my ankle. After listening to other shoes I've worn as well she brought out about six pair that would have worked in about three minutes.
