I called on Monday needing my hot water heater repaired and they offered me an appointment for Tuesday "sometime after noon". Not only did they not show there was no call. When I reached out to him he said he was sorry but could reschedule for Wednesday at 5:30 PM. Yep, he did not show up again. Crazy me, but I called and he offered more excuses and promised to arrive Thursday at 5:30 PM. For the third time, he did not show and we had now been without hot water for 4 days. So I called a different company (Innovate Water Heaters), they offered an appointment for that morning. Within two hours they made the repair and I now have hot water. It's a good thing because I still haven't heard from Miley Home Improvement & Water Heaters after they missed the third appointment. It's not often that I write a one star review of a company but Miley deserves it. read more

My water heater hadn't been getting as hot and then quit altogether on Saturday. I did a lot of research and discovered my burner was faulty. More research and I found the part had been discontinued even though the heater was 4 years old. A.O. Williams (the manufacturer) did return my call several hours later and informed me that my heater was a warranty replacement (true) and therefore I had no warranty left on the heater now in use (also true). I searched their website to find an authorized repair company and found Miley water heaters in Whittier, near me. I called on Sunday and talked with Ted. He was very courteous and worked with me to the point of having Rick come out Monday afternoon. Rick drove from Irvine to La Mirada after calling me to say he was on his way. He was here a few minutes before I was but didn't even seem bothered by it. He was quick to repair the issue and just a very nice person. I previously dealt with my home warranty company First American who are a negative 5 stars but that's for another review. First american gave me the runaround for weeks to get someone out to my home to help me get hot water. Luckily I finally found Miley Home Improvement @ Water Heaters who are Licenced and work with manufactures, with parts on hand. Ted called me listened to my issue and knowing that I did not have hot water for weeks said I will send someone out during our lunch. Ted came same day as promised with Nick. I want to give many thanks to Miley Home Improvement for restoring my water heater back to perfect working order! It's always a pain to deal with something like that to start off your work week. Not to mention dealing with the water heater manufacturer to make sure they honor the heater warranty. Rick, the technician, was nice enough to come out to check the water heater, even though I was still on hold with the manufacturer. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get through to the manufacturer while Rick was on-site, but he assured me if I was able to get through by the end of the day, he would come back to fix the heater. Surely enough, I was able to get the warranty authorization for the parts I needed from the manufacturer. I contacted Rick, and he came later in the day, which I'm sure was past his scheduled work hours and completed the job. We were lucky enough to find Miley on yelp because most of their business is referral based and I see why! I'm recommending them to friends and family. Megan Miley runs the office and is prompt and friendly. Ted was professional and knowledgeable during the estimate and execution of the job. He and his crew were respectful and safe with regards to masks, hand sanitizer, shoe coverings, plastic barrier in the hallway during the project, etc. He states that he is "not the cheapest but not the most expensive" and that was absolutely true with my more than 5 bids for my project but worth it and you get what you pay for. Ted and his team were prompt, professional, and thorough and each detail was thought of and done well. The job was completed sooner than expected and I was very satisfied. I found an issue with something after the job was completed and paid for and he still came out timely and fixed the problem. Highly recommend! If I could give a negative star I would. Had them come out 8/9/19 and they refused to fix the hot water heater. Technician said we do not have electricity going to the heater, I told him we know, the breaker is off but my worker will go turn it on. He said he couldn't wait 1 minute, he had another call to go to. When my worker came back, the technician was gone. He was so gruff & rude. Definitely should not be around the general public with his crappy attitude. I called the company and they said they can't fix it because there's no electricity. I said it 10 seconds there WAS electricity. The lady I spoke to then pretended to be the call service although I recognized her voice from speaking to her 4 times throughout the day. Then she says they have to charge me $199 for the service call! I told her he didn't even touch the hot water heater so how can I be charged, he refused to fix it. Horrible customer service. Billed for a repair that never happened solid me a used water heater that was warrantied before. Had to come out to repair their horrible work. I had to explain to their tech how to replace a control board after I was told he knew what he was doing. Do not use this unreliable and unprofessional hack plumbing company. They don't even come out in work trucks or uniforms. They come in their personal vehicles. I made a mistake using them and allowing them to try to fix their mistake. Still having issues with the hot water not heating properly and now my hot water pressure is low. Cost me more to compensate my renters then what they've charged me. Then I called Miley. Tiffany was nothing short of phenomenal. Nice, courteous, and knowledgeable. She said she would call me back....guess what she did!!! She also went out of her way to accommodate my problem. Next day problem fixed and we have hot water again. Everyone was fantastic from start to finish. Called Todd Miley on President's Day to set appt for warranty work on 50 gallon water heater that was producing a loud hum when hot water was turned on. Availability opened the next day and Todd himself arrived to replace the pilot mechanism and was done within a half hour. Tue 6/21/22 I spoke with Ted and text info to him and install a part for my water heater which had been recalled according to Whirpool. He mention he would schedule and let me know. Thur 6/23 I text back and asked any idea would the part would be installed? Fri 6/24 Received text if I would be available for Sat 6/25 to have part installed. I said yes could I get a time frame - no reply back as a matter of fact they never text, call or came out. Talk about bad service I would not recommend your Company to no one. The pilot on my water heater kept going. The warranty company recommended Miley Home Improvement and Water Heaters and advised me that they carry extra parts on their truck. I called them up and they were able to come out that same day. After they replaced 2 different parts, the pilot was still going out. Turned out the mother board was bad & they had to go to Garden Grove to get that particular part. Although they weren't scheduled to work the next day, they came back with a new part & got it working again. Ted and the other gentleman that came were both very professional & courteous. I could tell that they genuinely cared about getting everything working properly. I don't normally write reviews but this is probably the worst experience I had ever had from any companies. If you could, try to avoid this company as they do business based on cheating. Had a water heater minor leaking issue the other day, and called Miley water& heater, during the call, they said they would charge $225 what they called flat fee for fixing it. However, once got here, they just tried to find every possible reason not fixing anything but just collected money for diagnose or "sale". Also, technician didn't seem to have knowledge of the issue and only knew to call manufacture's technical support. Once you paid money, they will ask more next time. What a scam company! read more

There was always a reason. "The last replacement burner on the truck was damaged. We'll be back in the morning." When that didn't happen, it took until 8PM to learn they had broken a water main on another job and would lose a third day fixing that before fixing my water heater in Laguna Niguel. We hired Miley Home Improvement to do a major remodel of our home. We were very satisfied with the entire process and the outcome. We expanded and put in a new kitchen, added an additional bedroom upstairs, re-did the roof, remodeled two bathrooms, put in new flooring and carpet, painted the house inside and out, and more. Our water heater was taking a long time to heat up the hot water and after two weeks the water started coming out brown. I called Miley and Ted immediately sent Rick over to assess the problem. Rick arrived within the two hour window they scheduled and diagnosed the problem, Giving me a detailed explanation with photos. I was able to use the photos to show the company where I purchased the water heater from and was able to get the tank replaced thanks to Rick's help and attention to detail. Miley Home Improvement was great. Tiffany came out and inspected everything and gave me a quote for different options. I wanted to switch out from a tank to tankless, but was also having problems with hot water getting to the master bath. After talking with Tiffany and Ted about everything, I got a great quote for replacing the tank with a tankless and running a recirculation line under the house to ensure on-demand hot water, including in the master which took several minutes before and now is practically instant. Not only that, but when I told Ted and his crew that I wanted to eventually build a BBQ island in the backyard near the tankless water heater, he installed an extra gas line for natural gas and put in an outlet for electricity for the future hookups.
