He gave me a clear timeline for completion, and since I know construction projects often run behind, I even planned to keep my business closed an extra day just in case. My wife got a glowing recommendation from a couple about this company. We called to get a quote, and we got no response. We went into the location and spoke to someone about coming out for an estimate, the designer came out measured and told us that it would take 2 weeks to get the estimate. two weeks go by no contact, we called on the 3rd week and the designer said "sorry I had to pick up my daughter to Texas, I will have it next week", nothing !! I gave the company the benefit of the doubt, against my wife's better judgement and called and spoke to the owner Tom. I told him what happened and he was apologetic and seemed like he wanted to make it right. he called my wife and was supposed to call her again last week....no call. I waited a few months to write this review because we wanted to live in the house for a while just to make sure their work was as good as it seems. They finished our house about 5 months ago and we are still thrilled with the job they did. There were, of course, a couple of things we wish they had addressed, like caulking around the baseboards and floors. We asked DJ and she said they don't do that. Fair enough we can easily do that ourselves or hire someone to do it. Really the only minor problem we had was the caulking in my daughters tub molded and pulled away from around the tub. That wasn't a major issue. We removed the caulking ourselves and repaired it with a mold resistant caulking. The great thing about them is they transformed our house from a fifty five year old house that was never treated with love to a beautiful home that we would love to be able to show off if it wasn't for the pandemic. They renovated every room in the house, and now it's fabulous. We had them move our kitchen to where the dining room was so they had to remove a wall, plump, electrical and gas. The old kitchen became our dinning area and it made one big great room consisting of our family room, dinning room and kitchen. read more

I placed 2 flooring material orders from them almost 2 years ago, I dealt with DJ at that time and other than some minor delays in getting back to me, it was a OK experience. Fast forward to recent, I called and spoke to Jennifer about placing a Shaw order for the same exact material, this was on Aug 7th, I informed of the urgency and provided the invoice #, she asked that I email her the info and within 5 minutes I did just that, I had the gut feeling she blew me off, which proved right because I never received a response from her since, it's now August 18th! I try to support Mom and Pop businesses as much as I can, but it appears they don't the business, business must be so good for them that their blowing customers away, it's either that or my order was small potatoes, if it was the latter, just tell me as opposed to keeping me hanging and holding up an entire project! They clearly have NO appreciation for the business that walks through their doors.. I'll never buy from them again or refer them to anyone of my clients. Beware! read more

After we finally had a chance to get all our stuff back in and final touches in place, I need to revise my review. Having had a chance to look closer at the work and material durability, I am changing my rating from 4-stars to 3-stars as this better reflects the longevity / quality of some of the material used by TS Carpet & Design. We have more than a handful of places where nail holes not only flashed through the paint but don't appear to have been sanded and a large seam has started to come apart. After 3-months the factory paint around the Koville cabinet doors has started to wear off reflecting the durability of their factory finish. These cabinets are Made in China; sourced from Anaheim Kitchen and Bath . It could be that I'm more picky than other homeowners. But I've also started to watch a LOT of videos on finished carpentry as I've decided to go about resolving most of these issues myself. Perhaps I'm more sensitive to the finished work from watching videos (ie. more aware of what I'm looking at). I've included photos to help visualize some of the issues. While I hate to sound like I'm complaining to complain, this just isn't what I had hope for after a rather pleasant remodel experience and spending over $50K. If this is the norm/standard, then perhaps it's my reality that is skewed. Either way I'm going to take my time and try to address all these issues on my own. read more

Well I found TS carpet on Yelp, so it's only fair that I write a review of my experience. I met with Chris during my initial consult. She was great. Took her time, didn't pressure me into a decision, and was very knowledgable about the products that she sells. She came out to my house the next day to take accurate measurements and I had a quote that very afternoon. The price was more than fair, so I hired them. Their install team is top notch. They were punctual, professional, and real tradesmen. They knew what to do, and performed the tiling job to perfection. I was so pleased that I also hired TS carpet and tile to install hardwood flooring as well, with the exact results. So if you don't have a ton of time to get three quotes and run all over gods creation looking at different samples, make TS your one stop shop. You won't regret it. This contractor was highly recommended by several people on another social media network. When I contacted them for an estimate, it took about a week to get someone to come out. When she finally did come, it took another few days to get the emailed estimate, which was much higher than other contractors for similar work. Even after DJ emailed me the estimate, no one called to follow up to see if I wanted to discuss the project further or proceed with the estimate. Disappointed! read more

We are very particular about what contractors we hire because we want a good job, at a reasonable price and with someone who knows their business and is honest. Kris Bowers, the Design Specialist, took so much pressure off of us because she knew her business so well!! She helped us pick a luxurious carpet, helped us select a color that matched the tile in the kitchen and hallways, picked a good pad, and gave us direction on how to install carpet on the stairs. Les was my rock during my kitchen remodeling and installing the flooring was the smoothest, most trouble-free part of that project. When I walked into the store first, my project was behind schedule and I was feeling very anxious about timing and getting things done fast. Les understood my overall stress and answered my abundance of questions with ease. He also came to my property to look at the workspace and give me very thoughtful design advice. He was always able to check on things and call or email me back exactly when he said he would. I felt that he was very reliable. They have exclusive installers so I was able to get an installation appointment extremely soon after selecting my materials. The installers were polite, friendly and efficient. TS even exceeded my expectations by finishing the floor far earlier than I had anticipated. If only the whole remodel process was as smooth as my short time with TS flooring. My family and I had the pleasure of working with TS Carpeting & Design Center last month. On Saturday, we went into the shop and spoke to Linda. We decided to replace our 16-year-old carpet to some type of new flooring since it lost the battle to stains, spit ups, dog accidents and who knows what else. Linda was so patient and helpful in showing us the inventory of various floorings to choose from. Not once did she ever pressured us into getting something that didn't fit our needs. And we asked a lot of questions! On Tuesday, Kris, one of the owner, called and came to the house for an estimate and ordered materials. She said it would take three to four days to complete, which was normal for such a large project. What we did not know was; the crew finished on the first day! One might wonder how three to four days equals one day, well it turns out that another gentleman was available from another job so 3 professional gentlemen worked on the project. Zach, Chase and Raul arrived on time, were well-mannered and worked meticulously on the installations. The quality of the installations was hallowed beyond comprehension. I do not claim to be a floor expert, but I do claim the statement "They did something right". The baseboard and laminate flooring were professionally installed and seamlessly matched to my existing wall. You cannot tell or see any flaws! We are a family of 6. Four humans, and two very loud, very agile dogs with long nails. After a few days of having our new floorings, we expected the dogs to scratch up everything. But I am glad to say, this was not the case. Our new Provenza Waterproof flooring had survived our dogs' constant digging, pee accidents, scratching, and general harassment. Overall, I am deeply satisfied with this flooring, and if our dogs could speak, they would say the same. "Woof! Woof!" -Our Dogs. (Translated; "Wow, great flooring"!) I currently have 3 houses to make decisions for, so it's important that I find trusted, quality services for when I need, or don't want to do the work myself. This is my "go to" flooring place. I have used them 3 times, and have been very satisfied each time. I met Thomas the owner, and he seems like a really nice guy, over the years I have worked with Kris Bowers - she is a partner in the business and has been there for years. I love it when people truly appreciate your business - and Kris does. We had one job done about 5 years ago, and it still looks as good as new. Kris has sent a holiday card every year since then. So, my wife and I walk in to the store about a year ago, Kris remembered us, the job, and how the house was laid out. We were interested in getting some wood flooring for our personal house. Then my mom had a stroke, and all projects took a back seat. We didn't show up for a year, and Kris remembered us right when we walked in a year later - I was impressed. I am very much into research before I buy. I learned as much as i could before shopping for wood floors. We shopped several wood flooring stores on St. College and many of them had no answers to questions I was asking regarding quality and type of construction - it was basically here's the prices, what color are you looking for? I was frustrated and no matter what the label said, or how it looked - If I don't hear informed answers - I'm out of there. Went to Kris - got all the answers and she was able to show options as well as speak on the benefits/compromises of each along with its historical performance. Also, absolutely no pressure or upselling at all - that always drives me right out the door! Job number two we ordered the wood and installed it ourselves - wood was available quickly and Kris was able to arrange for us to go pick it up from the manufacturer saving us time and shipping costs. She was also available when we had questions while doing the install - we got a great price and top quality wood. Job number three was an additional installation in the same house as the one done 5 years ago. They did a great job - same wood was available, and the same installer that did the original job, did this installation (Kenny). I was impressed that the same people were still in place, I think that says something about their success, the stability of their company and reputation. Kenny went above and beyond by replacing all of the base boards in the bathroom (which was not part of the job) just because he knew I wanted to do it and it really made the job look great. I was very surprised and thankful for that. I recommended them to some neighbors, and they came by during the installation, they were very impressed and have had Kris come to their home for her design services. I have recommended them to others who have been pleased as well. Needless to say, I have other jobs planned and I will go to Kris and TS Carpet & Design Center. They displayed impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail, so in a second transaction we had them send the same crew out to finish the floors (perfect pattern and placement through the entire house!), and we also had a new countertop, sink and backsplash installed. Worst bathroom renovation ever, a true nightmare! They screwed up numerous times, every step of the process. Forgot to install insulation before putting up drywall so had to tear down whole walls to put it in, put two huge holes in my ceiling below the bathroom (family room) due to dropping pipes for the plumbing, could not make pocket doors (had them put in and reinstalled at least 4-5 times and still not very good), poor communication and had nobody supervising except for the first week or two of renovation. Had to rebuild my walls 3 times, had to paint two adjacent ceilings of rooms next to the bathroom due to the painters refusing to put up plastic and painters tape so paint and texture got everywhere including my carpets. Had to have shower glass installed 3 times, 2 times measured incorrectly, third time brought wrong size glass. Only good worker was the demo guy, others were all obviously very inexperienced and incompetent. What was supposed to be a fun and exciting 4-6 bathroom renovation turned into a 12 week nightmare, constant stress that was painstaking and horrible! Save your money, find and hire somebody else. Trust me you'll thank me for this review! In hindsight if I would have known all of this and what a terrible experience I was about to go through I would have never hired them!! read more

It was a difficult problem to diagnose and deal with but Tom (the owner) and Anita (the designer) hung in there with us every step of the way and took an active role in helping us get through it all. I absolutely love working with TS Carpet... We recently used them for a second time - to remove and reinstall tile, and lay carpeting. They allow you to take tile samples to see what they look like in your home and will order as many carpet samples as you need as they are intent on having you find exactly what you want. We worked with "DJ" this time around and she was so helpful in making sure we got what we needed within our budget. When the tile we ordered was actually starting to be laid, we realized it wasn't exactly like the showroom sample but DJ and Tom (the owner) came right over and stopped the work so we could figure out a solution. We decided to select a different tile and they made every effort to keep the install on track by driving to the supplier and picking up the new tile. We ended up being only one day behind schedule. The carpeting was also put in three bedrooms and living room very professionally and all the installers (both tile and carpet) we very pleasant to interact with. The showroom was very well layed out and had lots of samples to choose from, the staff was wonderful ,and very professional, and the prices for having our entire home carpeted seemed fair for the quality of the product we purchaced. Instalation was one of the best experiences we've had. We had contractors from TS's team of David and David do our instalation and they did a bang up job. Worked very hard and efficiently, did a great job and were easy to work with. Debbie was the professional who helped us with all our choices for the carpeting and she was helpful, caring, professional and very easy to work with. The rest of the staff that helped us with various questions about our new carpeting were very helpful and answered our questions fully. WOW!!! Our experience at TS Carpet and Design was fabulous. We were in desperate need of new flooring due to pet issues. My husband started tearing out the carpet and I started calling around for laminate floors. I called TS at 9 am and the owner, Tom, was at my house by 10am the same day measuring and giving me an estimate! There was no pressure from Tom. He was direct and honest and followed up with us the next day. We decided to go with our gut and use TS. Tom scheduled us as soon as he could, within a week of ordering. Tom let me know that 2 men would be coming on Monday to start working. Everyone is hesitant when people are coming into their home, but Chase immediately put my mind to rest. Both workers were very respectful and polite and worked hard all day and into the evening. Chase came back the following morning ( when he said he would :)) and finished the job on his own. My husband and I repainted our baseboards and Chase put them back in. Looked brand new because Chase was strategic with his planning and utilized our baseboards very efficiently. Overall, it was a GREAT experience and I will be happy to use them again in the future. You can feel comfortable with Tom and his staff. Tom also followed up with a home visit after the job was completed to make sure we were happy. (We had about 500 sq ft done in our living area...we did get more than 1 estimate. You pay for what you get...We were thinking about using Home Depot but the quality and customer service just wasn't the same). I am very pleased with the work this company did in my bathroom. Due to wood rot, I needed part of my sub floor replaced. The owner Tom (who came to the house to assess what needed to be done and give the estimate) seems very passionate about what he does. He really took great pride in picking out the pattern of the flooring for my small bathroom for me - at my request - so I wouldn't have to travel to the store. Really nice and personable fellow. The office was always in contact with me to let me know when the materials should arrive, when they did arrive, and so on.
