My experience has always been very positive, without any attempt to upsell me on unnecessary work - which is often the case at other dealer service departments. My service rep, Luke, was forthright, and explained to me that in addition to my oil change and general checkup, he suggested I change the cabin filter but told me it wasn't immediately necessary. I went along with that and paid a very reasonable price. Luke also mentioned some other filter but said that was something that could be addressed in the future. I really felt like Luke had my back, and my impression is that his honesty and clarity was representative of the dealership as a whole. Bottom line? I went to get an oil change, tire rotation and to have them check my AC unit because it stopped working. After two plus hours the service representative told me the AC is blowing hot air, they had replaced a blown fuse in the hvac system and it was going to cost $1,250 before tax for additional diagnostic and that's not including the parts and labor fees they are going to add. I paid $178 for the diagnostic and went to Midas in Stratford CT and within a half hour i was told my AC is working fine. So I paid $178 for them to change a fuse and they were willing to charge me at least a thousand plus more to find something. The service representative even suggested i change my brand new battery i bought from Autozone because it was after market. Midas tested the battery and it's working fine. Please don't go there, you will get robbed. read more

Worst service department in the state. Spent $1000 on new brakes only to have have the discs warp after a few weeks. Blamed me, even though the original brakes lasted to 100k. Brought the car in again for warranty work. Denied that anything was wrong and charged me diagnostic fee. Took to the vehicle to Gengras in Fairfield where they fixed it under warranty. Genras told me they get Milford customers that have had it with being ripped off or warranty claims denied. This Milford dealership doesn't even have loaner cars available for warranty items that the dealer should provide a free loaner. Gengras has loaners. Don't bring your car here for service. You will walk away from this place depressed and sad that they took advantage of you. Look at other review sites, e.g. Carfax and scroll through these Google reviews. Their service rating is crap. Milford Auto Group is a dishonest and disceptive dealership. Put a deposit over the phone on a vehicle that was less than a year old w/ only 7k miles on it. Salesman assured me the vehicle was absolutely mint w/o a blemish ! After spending the time in having my insurance changed over and having a bank check drawn (which I had to a pay a fee for) drove over an hour to pick up the car. Sticking out like a sore thumb when seeing the car were several noticeable dings and a crease in the metal on the passenger door! This car had more damage than my 10 &12 year old cars! Needless to say I had to speak to a manager and have my deposit refunded. Additionally, the saleman was also very deceptive in representing their fees to me when I initially left my phone deposit. Multiple times he mentioned that their only fee was a $649 doc fee. Only after requesting a breakdown of the costs did I see them trying to sneak in a $299 VIN etching fee. When questioned about this he said it was mandatory on all vehicles sold. Only after my vehement refusal to pay this fee was it dropped. Should also mention on their website in the fine print, no mention as to the cost of a doc fee is reported only that a $115 adm. fee maybe added. Again quite deceptive! read more

I faithfully took it to Milford Auto Group for recommended scheduled services. In February 2023, at 90,000 miles, I had it serviced and was told that it was in great shape. In May 2023, my vehicle's, engine started knocking. I had it towed to Milford Auto Group to have it diagnosed for which they charged me $192. After their diagnosis, I was told it needed a brand new engine to the tune of $10,628.78. Needless to say, my jaw dropped. When asked how could this happen to a car less than 8 years old, Carl, the technician, was less than sympathetic. I promptly told him that I would NEVER purchase another Jeep. Needed my vehicle's back up cam , ac blower fan checked and an old wheel lug bolt replaced , they didn't find nothing wrong with the fan , they stated that there was something wrong with the cam electrical wiring and they replaced the lug l provided , I was charged $130 to replace the wheel lug bolt that they didn't even provided , checked after other shops and was told $40 the most to replace the lug , also i had a coupon for a vehicle complete inspection and was not done , poor service , high prices and bad customer service . I bought my 2017 Wrangler Wrangler Rubicon two years old with 20,000 miles. I added on a very expensive extended warrantee to cover service up to 100,000 miles. I brought it into Milford Jeep for service on May 11th due to a violent shaking episode after going over a pothole. I gave the Service Department all the warrantee papers, and asked them to call me the next day to report the issues. I got a call the next day from the service manager that the fix would cost $1,750. I asked about my warrantee and he said he called them but this wasn't covered. When I returned home I called the Warrantee co, and they said not only was it covered with a $100 deductible, but the Service manager never called. I next went to the Owner of Milford Jeep, and the Service manager in front of the owner said he called, when I knew he did not. The owner said it was a miscommunication, and they would do the work under warrantee. At worst something shady was going on, and at best the service manager was just lazy. Regardless, if I didn't check, (and I'm sure many do not), it would have cost me $1,750 instead of $100. Even though I live in Milford I will never deal with Milford Jeep again. Instead I will go out of my way to avoid dealing with Milford Jeep, and get my Wrangler serviced by a more reputable Dealership. read more

Would love it if they actually "fixed" their customer's cars. A 2 year on-going battle with the dealership and once I purchase my car(s)..yes cars...out of their lease, the dealership wants nothing to do with making my car whole. They replaced the sunroof, car continues to leak and the owner said he didn't care because the technician didn't note the problem. Let it be known my car was sent home on multiple occasions being told there was no issue (even when held for 4 days in torrential downpours). Poor customer service and a horrible owner to be representing the company. No compassion or sense of time (said he was talking to me for a half hour...our phones have timers...it was 7 minutes....in which most times you didn't let me speak and degraded me). One of the owners, Bob Fedor, personally oversaw the purchase of our new Ram. He was 100% available and was in the background throughout our entire experience making sure everything went perfectly. He is honest, caring, and completely forthright. By the time we picked up our new Ram we felt like we were a part of his family. Our salesman, Mark Setaro, couldn't have been more professional or helpful. Mark was knowledgeable about every aspect of our purchase and helped me from start to finish making himself available at all times even when he wasn't working. Buying a new vehicle can be extremely stressful, however, when you have a professional such as Mark guiding you through the process it is anything but. The purchase of our 2022 Ram Rebel was a surprise gift for my wife and Mark and Bob went to great lengths to make it all happen. Back in 2015 I walked into Milford Jeep early one morning and Leased a 2015 Black Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude. When I first walked in, there wasn't really anyone around. I stood on the sales floor for a little while looking at the floor models, but no one greeted me. There was one gentleman who was in his office/cubicle having his breakfast. Because I raised properly I didn't want to disturb him, so I patiently waited for someone more available. Finally, someone walked passed, I spoke up, and they unfortunately and fortunately directed me to the gentleman eating his breakfast. Meet Tom Burns, one of the nicest, unassuming, coolest, and easygoing guys I've met selling cars. He wasn't judgmental or prejudice. I told him which vehicle I wanted on the lot, we got the keys, test drove it and struck a deal. We talked like men with respect for one another. A smart salesperson, treats everyone on a case by case basis, they don't judge a book by its cover or form opinions based on past experiences. You never know who's a sale! The bad, as we're sitting in his office with a majority of the paperwork done. The female owner comes in and says to Tom in a condescending tone as if he's incompetent. That he needs to quadruple check my credentials. Because "you know we don't want to go through that again". Now, she said this as if I wasn't sitting right there. Now "if" he made a mistake in the past, fine. BUT, as a professional, you don't embarrass your staff in front of the customer. And you don't imply things in front of them either. You pull them to the side! Needless to say I was embarrassed for him and also offended by the insinuation. Then the finance officer, just kept staring at me with this look of jealousy and prejudice. He kept saying we can't find your previous car (BMW) on your credit report as if I was lying. BS! It somehow eventually just turned up. He was shocked at my credit score, the fact I had my own insurance, and the fact that a young man had no co-signers or anyone in tow. He kept saying that the Jeep I'm purchasing is nice car, as if I'm not aware of that already. But his tone, facial expression, and the stare down attempting to read me said it all. Anyway, I was in a bind, needed a vehicle. I had the means to buy what I wanted, but I should've walked. But Tom was the saving grace, I really appreciated his professionalism and his humanity. Service. Same air as the owner and financial manager. Like I'm not wanted around, as if I'm a nuisance when I bring my new car, that I purchased from them, in for routine maintenance. One time, I was quoted by one of the male service reps, a price for brakes or a radiator don't really remember. It was even on my paperwork from the previous service visit. I go to the dealership on my next visit to get it done, and I'm quoted almost double by the female service rep. When I brought it to her attention, all she could say was "Oh". There's more, but this is long enough already. Those who can read between the lines will understand where I'm coming from and my beef. Can't just label people things without substantial proof. It's also not worth my time, I just won't give them my business or any referrals ever. Hopefully others will see this and go elsewhere. To Tom Burns, that 1 Star is for you. I wasn't rushed into buying something and the sales people treated me with respect and like I was one of the family. I purchased a Dodge Avenger and couldn't have been happier with the service, salesman, and managers. The car was the best fit for my needs. These people treat customers like they matter. It's not a matter of numbers and meeting quotas with this group, they truly care about what you need. They follow up with phone calls without the pressure you feel from other dealerships. I brought my Jeep here for repair following an auto accident. They had my vehicle in their shop for almost 3 weeks- dropped off 12/20 picked up 1/08 which cost over $1000. Since I have a broken left foot I'm barely driving & took it out 3-4x before I noticed check engine light went on. I called & spoke with Steve in the service dept. He said I can make an appt to have it looked at & I need to pay for the diagnostic test to see what's wrong with it. I asked why? He said "I have to pay my mechanic"- yeah but it wasn't on before I took it there!!! Terrible customer service!!! Also, I might add, when I was shopping for new Jeep I bought from the dealer in Wallingford because their price was better. They have offered us no updates and won't even communicate with Jeep on our behalf, making us call to try and track down this part. They don't communicate with us and have done nothing to ease this incredible inconvenience. They won't even offer us a loaner car. I've been without my vehicle for over a month! A month of finding alternative ways to get to work and paying insurance on a car I can't drive. And still no updates. Who knows if we'll ever get our car back?? We drove our 2012 jeep grand Cherokee up from FL and during the trip got a check engine light (again...it was supposed to be fixed according to the jeep dealer in FL) these guys got us in quickly and were fast and efficient in finding the problem and fixing it under warranty. She went to get somebody who introduced himself (Mark) and then went to get keys for some vehicles to look at. On his way, he was met by a returning customer that wanted to run some more numbers. The service hours are bogus. I went by the dealership for an oil change. I had previously driven by the dealership and seem a sign outside for express service. The dealership website has a video that talks about "express service usually in 30 minutes or less". There website states the hours for the service department are 8am to 5pm so I left work early and arrived at the dealership around 3:15 for a oil change. The express service bay was empty, so I figured I would get right in. Instead I was told they stop doing oil changes at 3pm and I was out of luck. I understand turning away customers showing up at 4:55pm, but this is ridiculous. I do not plan on going back and would not recommend there service department to anyone. read more

I went to Milford Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to look for a new vehicle. I worked with Jack B. and he was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the cars at the dealership. I had previously gone to another dealership, and it was very high pressure, to say the least; just not a good feeling. Went to Milford Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram a few days later, and what a difference! Jack took the time to walk me through the car and go for a test drive (even though I had already done one) - and he pointed out many of the amenities the car had to offer where the "other place" never mentioned any of them. He told me to call him any time if I had any questions whatsoever. He was so helpful, I can't imagine going anywhere else. Buying a car is always so stressful and time consuming; Jack simplified the entire process! Really, all car dealerships are in business to sell cars and make a profit, but I didn't feel pressured in any way and felt they were extremely fair.
