While not a discount place, service is on point, brought 95 k miles one car in that had not been serviced in years, they road tested, gave maintainance recommendations, spent a good buck....$1000 for wheel bearing repair, alignment, coolant replace, spark plug tune up, full synthetic oil and filter change. car running fine, ready on time. Small A/C sitting room area, coffee, water, soda, ice tea at front counter, beach chairs outside for good weather. Brought in a second car, 84 k miles, running fine but not maintained, road tested, was pleasantly told only needed oil and filter change. Great Mechanics are tough to come by and finding a fair and decent one is even more challenging. But Military Brake & Alignment did that. I got new rotors and brakes on my vehicle along with a few other things and they completed it in an afternoon! Super impressive! Also I had a cover underneath my front bumper that was hanging down and has been for months and without telling me or me requesting they fixed that too. I was very impressed! I went in for a rack and pinion replacement and it was completed so quickly that it seemed more like an oil change. They even cleaned up the undercarriage from all the powersteering fluid that had leaked. Great service and great people. Justin and Chris were very helpful. read more

Had my car towed here by AAA from the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches spring training facility after a game when it wouldn't accelerate in the parking lot. We were told the problem was the throttle body and that it was going to be $985 for parts and labor. Before my girlfriend and I made our decision we called two of the mechanics closer to our home in Broward. Both told us that we were being gouged. Her guy said he'd do it for $550, mine said $445. The owner seemed really nice. The place was really family friendly - they had a small playing area for small kids and pictures of the owner's kid posted around the shop. They had complimentary sodas and water. So I don't want to disparage the guy if it was just a mistake or something. But at the end of the day we paid like $110 for a diagnosis that was to be applied to the cost of repair, only to have the car then towed to my guy who did it for half the price. I'm not gonna make any proclomations telling you to avoid the place or anything, because again, the guy was super nice and the place was so welcoming, and I think he deserves the chance to respond. I'll just say it's always good to get a second (or third) opinion. read more

I called this place to have the transmission fluid changed on my 2004 Dodge 1500 Ram. I was told to bring my truck in and they would look at the see if they would do the job - sounded like an odd response to me but I still showed up at 8:00 AM Monday morning. My truck has 108K miles; Trans last changed in 2009 with 44K miles; 70% Hwy miles; towed a 6K lb. camper for about 2 years occasionally. I have records of every service since I drove the truck off the lot brand new in 2004 - nothing major - usual as expected servicing. The guy looked at my truck; didn't start it; noticed the trailer brake. He checked the dip stick for Trans fluid and said he can feel too much grit (I felt very minimal; fluid was very clean still). He said he would not do the job cause he did not want to risk messing up Trans. I told him I would sign a waiver to be sure he was not responsible if the Trans failed in a 1000 miles. He still said no, he didn't want me to be angry with him if he changed the fluid and caused issues with Trans soon after. What a A-hole I thought. I went straight to the usual Firestone shop I use for tires and oil charges. They took the job in right away. Dropped the Trans pan, very little metal shavings and the shavings that were there were all caught by the internal magnet. Changed both filters, new gasket & all is good; done in less than 2 hours. Told me transmission is in great shape - no worries. Why did I go to the clown guy in the 1st place...? read more

My car battery died and I had to have my car towed to the nearest AAA garage. I had no experience with this place, but feel fortunate that I wound up there. First I was greeted by Justin who impressed me by his friendliness and knowledge. I was concerned that my problem could be the starter or transmission in addition to the battery. In less than one hour he had replaced the old battery and performed a check of the rest of the system. My car only needed a new battery. The price they charged me was fair.
