Beige roast beef with plenty of fat.

Last resort ....maybe. For sure one of the worst catering services in Boston. Never impress me at all. I had this Roast Beef Roesco sandwich. I bit in and was like what is that tough chew? Oh, it's grizzle and fat on the roast beef. Beige roast beef , bread was OK...... should have opted for turkey. Next time FLOUR all the way.

Because of how busy this place gets during peak lunch hours, I went around 1:15pm and it was way less busy than if I went at 12-1pm time. I was able to get my buffalo chicken wrap right away and they put a good amount of chicken in it. I was able to substitute spinach for the carrot slaw. The chicken was spicy and flavorful. It was not fried which is great. For a $10 wrap, I was actually very full. There were plenty of seating this time because I didn't go when it was busiest. I would say this place is a good lunch place when it is not chaotic.

We came here to meet a friend who is Kosher. It was busy and had outdoor seating but we chose to sit inside. We took turns getting food and figuring out the layout (pick the line with lemonade samples if you can) but everyone was friendly and helpful. I got the Milk Street Cobb salad (turkey bacon or tofu bacon) and it was good. Watching them prepare it was a treat too. IF we are in Boston again I'd love to try a dessert. Sitting was more of a challenge, they need more space between tables, I agree it's kind of cramped if you are not a kid or super small. The goals most places is MORE people, not more comfort. The Women's Room was clean and spacious. It seemed to be a good work space too, as i saw a few people on computers.

While visiting Boston. I realize that Milk Street Cafe is like one of their chain coffee store like Starbucks. Since DD and Starbucks the line were extra long in the morning. Me and my friend decide to go to a little bit quieter coffee shop and sit there to find some activities to do. They do sell some bakeries good at the cafe. Overall, I would come here again. A little bit more quieter and the food/drink are good as well.

My job hosted a luncheon for us for Nurse's Week and it was hosted by this cafe. I'm not a sandwich person but I opted for the chicken pesto sandwich and I've gotta say that it was pretty solid. I don't really enjoy chicken either so I was pretty impressed. The sauce used in the sandwich was delicious and that sandwich turned out being a popular choice amongst many of my colleagues.

Milk Street Cafe is huge and the staffs are super friendly. I got pastries from here and they were delicious.

Milk Street Cafe has reopened with a joyful, hopeful celebration! I just happened to walk down milk Street during an overnight visit in town. Musicians were out and staff was bustling, so I changed my plan and stopped in. Yum!! Scones fluffy and flavorful and the breakfast sandwiches/wraps are so much better than standard fare! I hope they make it! Highly recommend!

But I'm actually writing about the company's website and phone recording. Once, on a prior holiday, and today due to a winter storm, I wasn't sure if the restaurant was open. In both cases (where the restaurant turned out to be closed), the website (appropriately) didn't allow online orders, and (more importantly) THE OUTGOING PHONE RECORDING WAS UPDATED WITH CURRENT INFORMATION. In an era where businesses barely have phone numbers to call, or employees who answer with something other than 'hello', is rare (and by the way, this is the fault of management if they don't properly train their staff). THANK YOU FOR HAVING YOUR SHIT TOGETHER IN COMMUNICATING YOUR HOURS TO THE PUBLIC. I, for one, appreciate it.

It was the gold standard for a real sandwich in the city. Sadly, the magic has faded. Between the soaring prices and the shrinking portions, the value just isn't there anymore. You can taste the "corner-cutting"--the flavors aren't as bold as they used to be, and the sandwiches feel noticeably smaller even though the cost has increased exponentially - I mean $30 for a sammy?! It should have gold in it! Even then, I'd keep coming once in awhile if the service was worth it. but honestly - the staff seems burnt out even bright early in the morning. It's hard to justify the premium price for a shadow of what this place used to be.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

There's a small bar setup with a few stools and a couple of tiny tables, so you can sit and eat quickly, but I wouldn't rely on getting a seat if it's busy or if you're with a group. They're both good, but I'd have to say the yahoo is the winner so far as far as the sandwiches go. You can order online, which is a big plus for me and it's very easy to customize items through the online ordering portal. I also happen to really like their iced coffee, too. It's nice to see that there are still simple, no frills spots that execute good tasing food at a reasonable price, and Archie's is definitely one of those spots.

The spinach tortellini with the pesto cream sauce is my absolute favorite- it's a HUGE portion and so delicious. It usually lasts me at least 2 meals. The bread they include is also great! I like to dip it in the sauce. The past time I got Dino's I accidentally ordered spinach ravioli instead of tortellini...that was my bad. HOWEVER I think I might have found my new favorite? The raviolis are huge and so fat. I'm talking like 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch thick. There is so much stuffing and the spinach ricotta mix tastes so fresh and delicious...it's a must try. I've also gotten the eggplant parm before, and the fettuccini Alfredo. Both were also delicious. I've never had any of the sandwiches, but if they are anything like their pastas then I'm sure they are great! The bang for your buck here is also great which is nice. Highly recommend!
