Milklab is located downtown Raleigh with street parking and some lots nearby. The milklab is a small shop with a few tables and a bathroom inside. The bathroom and some of the tables needed to be cleaned. The employees were pleasant but not overly personable. The shop offers a variety of rolled ice creams and drinks. I ordered the biscoff rolled ice cream. It was topped with whipped cream and cookies. The ice cream was good and not too sweet. I was told that it is a limited flavor. I would get it again.
We too the Grandbabies out to the Twilight Market Saturday and stopped at the Milk Lab for something cold and refreshing. The Mango Tea was so good. It's a little slushy with bits of Mango and the green tea is yummy. I will definitely get this again and also try to remake this at home. The Strawberry Matcha was ok, you'll have to ask for sweetener because it doesn't have any, none. The ice cream is ice cream but really good. We got the chocolate and vanilla, in our opinion the vanilla is better. The kids.liked seeing the make it right in front of you. The service was a little slow this particular day. They have inside seating and there is a few tables outside. If the line is long they also have a little kiosk you can order at.
The ice cream and Fruit tea was amazing! Very friendly service and everything was fresh, I would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
Always a great experience here ! The service is quick and efficient. They are really nice too explain everything well. My fav here has been the mango matcha with mango popping bubbles! Their taro or ube rolled icecream is soooooo good too ! So flavorful light and can eat multiple portions if my body could handle the sugar and fat :p def get the mochi toppings on it. There's a some tables on the inside as well as some seating options outside.
Great experience at Milk Lab. I went at 12pm on a Wednesday and was a little worried about the parking situation in the area. Fortunately, I found a spot in the 15 minute parking area (around the corner a little from Milk Lab). There wasn't anyone else inside, and the employee greeted me quickly and was friendly. I had looked at the menu ahead of time since there are so many options. I ordered the banana milk latte and a purple taro latte (because I had a coupon...they're a little pricey). The taro latte was so pretty! Both drinks tasted delicious. Next time I'd get the banana milk a little sweeter (more than the 1/2 I went with) as you can adjust sweetness level for all their drinks.
I service was good, they greeted me when I walked in and gave good recommendations for boba. I ordered 70 percent sugar but it was still super sweet, I'd probably do 25-50 percent sugar next time.
Honestly really disappointed this time. I used to love this place but this time wasn't great. Why would they put their milk teas in hot cups now? The whole point of ordering a boba is to see the boba at the bottom of your drink. I also ordered a yuzu fruit tea with lychee jelly and there was no lychee jelly. No big deal if they didn't chatg extra for it.
Milklab Raleigh is one of my favorite boba shops in the Triangle. The drinks are consistent and the workers have provided me water on more than one occasion. In this specific review, I include photos of my dalgona crunch latte. It was delicious! One thing about the Raleigh location is that parking isn't the most ample, so if you do come with a large group I suggest carpooling. I'll be back to Milklab Raleigh soon!
Came here for dessert with another couple who recommended this place. It was fun just to watch them prepare the ice cream. The banana with almond milk was delicious and creamy with hot chocolate on the bottom. The ice cream was packed with fresh ingredients and portion was large!

Atmosphere: The Smoky Hollow Milklab location is small, with only a few tables to sit and enjoy your drink. However, the interior is sleek and nicely lets in lots of natural light during the day. Service: Our server was friendly, and our drink came out quickly. Food: We ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte with boba this time around. We've tried this drink at other Milklab locations, and it was pretty standard at this shop. The drink is fruity, milky, and grassy, with sweet chewy bits of boba. Overall: We enjoy Milklab, and the Raleigh location is a great option if you're around the downtown area. Parking and seating can sometimes be difficult to come by, but besides that, we'd recommend Milklab Raleigh for a sweet treat.

This place exceeded expectations! Thought it would be all about presentation but both ice cream bowls we got were great! They miss an opportunity by going for the Chips Ahoy cookie though. An in house baked cookie or from a local Shop would go a long way! Good service, friendly and walked us through the options available. After grabbing a cup, walk behind "The Line" apartments and enjoy a seat in the open area with other stores nearby. read more

While the ice cream was tasty, this location was severely understaffed when we visited on a Sunday afternoon. The tables were sticky and there was trash on the floor. Since there were only 2 people working + a line forming, we were directed to a kiosk tablet to place our own orders. Unfortunately, the UI is poor and it was impossible to place the order I actually wanted since not all custom options were listed. The people that were working were absolutely delightful despite the stress of needing more support during a busy shift. read more

TLDR: Excellent option for boba tea and rolled ice cream. Indoor and outdoor seating. Phenomenal customer service. As a fan of their Cary location, I was excited to see they have a location off West Street in downtown Raleigh. Milk lab offers a variety of flavorful, delicious beverages and rolled ice cream with toppings. This location did not seem to offer as many options as the Cary location, but I may have just missed some menu items. Order online or at the counter. When not busy, orders take about 5 minutes to complete. They roll the ice cream as ordered and then you can pick the toppings that you want. What I was most impressed by at this location was the customer service. The ladies closing Thursday night were incredible. I was ordering for my husband who wanted the cinnamon ice cream. When I arrived they informed me that they did not offer that flavor anymore, but that they would try to replicate it. I said they could just sprinkle some cinnamon sugar onto the vanilla ice cream if they wanted and that would be fine. Instead they went all out and created an incredible cinnamon crunch rolled ice cream. It tasted even better than the previous flavor they had on the menu. They taste tested it amongst themselves to make sure it tasted all right first. I really appreciate the extra work they put into making our visit perfect. Overall, great experience and we recommend this establishment to others! read more

We were visiting from out of town and we were craving boba/ dessert! We really liked this place! Staff was nice. The seating area was small but we were able to sit down. It was clean. Recommend the campfire delight! read more
Nice location.. Paid street parking.. Enjoyed the Yuzu Tea next time we will ask for NO sweetener and or sugar - it was WAY TO SWEET. The Strawberry drink was great nice and cold with tons of flavor Would recommend Customer Service read more

The matcha strawberry milk latte with Boba is in a league of its own. I just flew into Raliegh for business and this place is always my first stop! Fast service too. The place is very clean and has a fun aesthetic. read more

I came here on a Tuesday afternoon to enjoy a sweet treat. It was my first time visiting this location so it was in a nice little cute area. The inside is small so limited seating. I got the pumpkin spice rolled ice cream which had graham crackers and roasted marshmallows to top it off. I really enjoyed it and the staff was friendly. Definitely will have to try this spot out again. read more

Tiramisu rolled ice cream. Rolled ice cream is already the best but the tiramisu was incredible I don't even care to try the other flavors (although I'm sure they're all delicious) I would just reorder that one. My friend got the Oreo which she really liked. Not gonna lie, the service was slow with the few amount of customers that were there. The ambiance is cute and modern, it's a small place with limited seating/tables so I'd recommend taking it to go and walking around the city with it read more
If you like milk tea or rolled ice cream, this is the spot for you. I had the rainbow fruit tea which was a great option for someone looking for something dairy free. The ice cream making ice cream is so fun too watch. It's a nice little spot in downtown. Seating is a bit limited but check it out! read more

A fun place we took our kids to for dessert! The storefront is very easy to spot, it's facing the street. Parking though, is another story - you can either park on the street and pay or park in the parking lot across and pay through a link that cost $10.50. It didn't give us an option for duration, so just be aware of that! I really liked the area it was in! It was our first time, we walked in, it was very clean and I love the open layout. They had an interesting menu and my daughter thought it was funny to order Unicorn Poop! It was quite the experience for her to watch them make her ice cream! I was craving milk tea and ordered a Thai milk tea. I wanted to go simple and order taro but they don't have taro which is mind blowing to me! Taro is a staple in my opinion! We sat in the corner and we came just in time before the line started forming! We enjoyed everything about our experience there. Except one thing and that is the reason why I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5. The girl taking our order had a bit of an attitude. I totally understand that people have bad days and are just not in the mood to be social but work is work and i wasn't pleased with her customer service skill. The guy that was behind the counter making all the desserts was GREAT though!! I'd come back again! read more
