Phase one: removal of carpet and padding. Stample removal and cleaning plywood. Floor placement and cutting.

Thank you Mill Carpet for a wonderful experience from project initiation to finish. Mill carpet completed my living room and dinning room at a competitive price. The customer service from Gary, a flooring and measurement specialist, was outstanding. Gary went above and beyond to make sure our flooring needs were met. I did a laminate laminate vinyl plank and will be working with them in there near future for additional flooring projects. I am 100% satisfied. The contractor was friendly, supportive, and trustworthy. The work was completed in one day (with a little help from me). Efficient, fast and superb quality, detail and customer service. Thank you!

    I love my new carpet...

I love my new carpet done by Mill carpets. If you are looking for Carpet, LVT and any other flooring needs you should pay a visit to the mill carpets. Best prices, best service and really quick turnaround. I am one happy customer. Thank you

Owner Dennis is rude, and unprofessional. We paid to have our basement carpeted, along with the platform for stadium seats. The laborer butchered the carpet, piecing it together stating he does not have enough carpet for the platform and stairs and that the measurements was off. We went out to the laborers van and found a roll of our 80oz carpet and padding 152ft x 57. We also measured 5 butchered pieces that also measured over 100ft each. The laborer called Dennis, who immediately asked if the balance of $230 was paid, when he told him no, Dennis then directed his attention to us, we attempted to explain the situation, informing him there would be no balance paid until our carpet was laid, kicked and seamed; Dennis then yelled out F$%%% you, and to told the worker to get to F$%# out of there. We have carpet partially laid, butchered remnants strewn about, stairs and platform undone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, AND IF YOU DO, BE SURE TO PAY ONLY A DEPOSIT!

No complaints - I received a coupon in the mail - 3 rooms for 399.99... That got me in the store I guess. The 399.99 carpet is thin ugly gray carpet. The mid grade wasn't too bad (went up to 599.) I was told they needed the exact sizes of the room because I might come out cheaper buying remnant carpet and I could potentially get a better grade. Guy came out (showed up on time) to measure my rooms, I then went back in and picked out remnant carpeting and he threw in upgraded padding. From start to finish took no more then a week and Im very satisfied and even without the coupon I feel like the carpet was reasonably priced.

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WORKMANSHIP. They had no problem being nice taking my money, but the install was horrible. They sent one guy and I guess he was rushing. Saw staples, uneven around edges, very poor workmanship. Then he never called when he finished, just left bcuz he knew the job was horrible. When I called to explain the situation, the man became so rude, yelling at me and very defensive towards me. Yelling that the man may have had a bad day and he has been with the company for 25yrs. I told him that he represents your company and you need to know the type of work he is doing in peoples houses. He only offer to have to guy come back the next day to fix, not caring that I had to take off my job again to stand over the guy to ensure he fixed the entire job. It's still not a professional look. Lastly, nobody told me that due to the thickness the doors would work. But he still took the doors off and just left then off bcuz they don't do carpentry work. So not I got all my doors off the hinges until I can pay another company to cut them down. Had I known in advance, I could have taken care of it. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND SUGGEST YOU NOT USE THEM EITHER. Where is the less than 1 star, bcuz that's what they deserve. BEWARE.

    Sloppy and spaces

Carpet choices are okay. However, they make several mistakes when it comes to your estimate. I was quoted $1498 for the better carpet for my entire home. Then they called back and said it would be $2498 because he didn't see some extra measurements on the back of the paper. I decided not to get new carpet in the basement, and upgraded to the best carpet and was I was quoted $1498 for two staircases, a living room and dining room. The carpet I ordered was in popular demand and I noticed he was cutting measurements down as close as he could to make it work for me and another customer. After I paid the $1498 and scheduled a day for the install, one installer came to do the job and it was sloppy. Not only was it sloppy, but he got there at 9 and didn't finish until 2. Then i had to go back to Mill and get more carpet. It is obvious where the seams are In the carpet AND they claimed I didn't inform them of my two staircases when I paid, which I did. He wrote (2) on the doc that had my measurements. Instead, the installer completed one staircase and said he didn't have anymore carpet because he was told one staircase. I called Mill Carpet and Dennis said I said one and I could come pick the carpet up for $298 and put in my car instead of paying an additional $100 if the installer comes. The guy who does the calculations (Dennis) lied about us not discussing two stairwells just to make a profit off of the last piece of carpet in that style because it was such a small piece no one would purchase. Like others have posted, they aren't a honest business and can be rude when there is a discrepancy. You think you're getting a deal, but you end up paying more than you were originally told and the installation is subpar for the type of carpet purchased. I purchased the "best" carpet and padding which feels nice but it was installed in a sloppy/rushed way. Only reason I gave them two stars (instead of one for my experience/customer service) is because I like the carpet color. AND I had to clean spots on the carpet because the carpet was brought to me with stains on it. No bueno. Go to a more professional and honest company OR make sure Dennis writes EVERYTHING you discuss on your invoice (measurements, rooms/staircases, total price, etc.). The invoice was vague so they can tell you one thing and later tell you something different.

The customer service was impeccable from start to finish!! The price was very affordable, so I will definitely be using Mill Carpets again!

I have been looking for quality flooring for a little over a year. I went to Lumber Liquidators, Floor Decor, Home Depot and Lowe's. But, either the quality wasn't what I expected for the price or the prices wasn't within my budget. A co worker referred me to Mill Carpets who had exceptional customer service and was very knowledgeable about the American hardwood in which they sell...not to mention the price was well within my budget. I definitely recommend Mill Carpets! Thanks guys!!

Dennis truly knows his carpets and he took the time to asses my every need (I can be picky at times) and made sure I didn't leave until I was 110% happy with everything.

I hired PBS to paint some rooms in my new home which was empty at the time. I sent a video detailing every wall to be painted and the colors to be painted. Long story short, they did well in some areas, really bad in others. My main level, I had an accent wall painted. It was so sloppily done that I had to laugh. And they got some of that color paint (dark blue) on an adjacent (light gray) wall. I wanted the basement to be a lighter color than it originally was but since they didn't prime with a light color paint, it came out dark. I've since had it repainted. They got paint all on my floors. there was a bright orange wall that was painted to match the rest of my family room: after 3 years, that orange paint is visible in some spots. It was always visible at the bases because of incomplete coverage after they painted. When I called the Khairy to make him aware of the issues, he did come out and mentioned that it wasn't done on purpose... Ok. They came back to fix the issues. The paint on the floor was cleaned up, the accent wall still looked messy. I had work done in my home later and that wall was the first thing my contractor commented on. Overall, very nice people. Hopefully they've improved, but I've decided to do a huge paint job in my home and I'm not considering them.

He was able to come by our place on the same day for an in-person quote and after deciding that we wanted to work with him, he was at our place ready to work the very next morning! He said he was able to come by to start work at 9am the next morning, but he was there not only on time but a bit earlier by around 8:30am! We had started off with 3 projects for him, which he quoted us for, but I ended up asking him if he could do more little projects, and he was able to take on anything we asked of him. He's awesome, he was even so respectful to take off his shoes when he worked inside our home. The projects he was able to complete for us was: 1) carpentry work in our garage (to secure some previous work done before we bought our townhouse, there were some unsecured wooden pillars barely holding up a wooden built-in storage shelf). Jose even told us how he would make it even more secure by adding more pillars where it would hold more weight on the shelf and be more secure; 2) filled up a hole in our wall, he was able to patch it up with drywall and matched the exact paint and by the time he was done and paint dried, you would never have known it was there! 3) he installed a new storm door for us, our previous storm door had a broken door handle, and Jose was able to install a brand new storm door that we had purchased, he even made sure that the storm door we bought was the correct measurement. 4) Jose installed new hardware on our kitchen cabinet doors, they were all aligned! He took the project off our hands. 5) upon request he was able to fix our closet door that wasn't aligned properly, so it didn't shut! When we bought the house it was like that, Jose fixed it! 6) he glued & aligned some wooden pieces coming off that were framing our attic crawl space. 7) he went above and beyond to find some new window screens that we couldn't locate locally, so he drove to another state to look for it the very same day! He wasn't able to locate it, so he ordered the correct sized window screens and installed them as soon as he could after it came in the mail! He was able to get most of the work done in just 2 days! Minus the window installation, which was done as soon as possible, once he special ordered it and after it arrived! His preferred payment method is through Zelle. Jose is an amazing handyman! He is punctual, very reliable, kept his word when he said he would come by and do our projects, and did great work in a timely manner. I would recommend him to family & friends, and we will definitely work with him again.

BEWARE: This is an unqualified, bogus, dishonest, fraudulent…read morecontractor/company. We lost thousands of dollars hiring this contractor to remodel a master bathroom. He's unprofessional and does not do any work (literally - which was the first red flag). He had unqualified - random workers/family doing the work that doesn't meet a reasonable standard - poor workmanship. The whole job was a nightmare, and proved that this contractor will take thousands of dollars, knowing that he's unqualified - taking no accountability at all. After multiple red flags of this contractor's doing a bad job/poor work - from not having the knowledge, qualifications, measuring the space properly, making big modifications without approval, and installing an oversized tub that didn't fit the original space size. They took upon themselves to cut open and extend the left and right shower walls, to fit an oversized tub that wasn't approved for the space. They had the audacity to cut a large hole (floor to ceiling) in the middle of the original painted, flat master bedroom wall - to extend the shower wall - to fit an oversized tub. Once was a flat master bedroom wall, there was a large extended wall in the middle - that looked absolutely terrible and stood out like an eye sore. We were appalled. The workers cut the shower tiles inside of the house (tenant occupied). Saw dust flew all over the house and furniture. Totally unacceptable. And, the shower tiles were installed incorrectly, different sized, and crooked. The contractor had the audacity to request $$$$ more dollars in the midst of all the above issues. Communicating with this contractor was proven that he was incompetent to do any bathroom remodels. He did not know what he was doing at all, and always blamed the workers; no accountability whatsoever. Prior to terminating this contractor, we tried to give him a chance to rectify the situation. Again, he failed to do so. We terminated him for all of the damages, which left us with an unfinished, damaged master bathroom and master bedroom wall, etc. A really bad bathroom tile job, extended bathroom walls, no tub, etc. A complete mess. The reason we hired this contractor, because he stated that he was a licensed contractor and gave a good quote. We only hire contractors that are experienced and guarantee their work. After we terminated him, he notified us that he filed a claim with his insurance company. That next week I contacted him to send me over the information, so that I can contact and follow up on the claim myself. This unprofessional contractor had the nerve to have an attitude. His approach to the whole situation has been a bad experience, and walking away paid $$$$ for poor workmanship and damages that he caused to property. He acted like he was doing us a favor...which was absolutely absurd. I had to warn him with further proceedings, for him to send me over his insurance information. After contacting his insurance company, we received a letter that they denied the claim. Allen's General Services is only licensed to do work in Maryland, and their insurance company wouldn't cover him working outside of Maryland. His insurance doesn't cover bathroom remodels, any damages to properties, or third parties (his unqualified workers). This contractor knew this before he took this job in the DC area and was paid $$$$. Hopefully, this information and our financial loss hiring this company, brings awareness, and helps other people in the future. We had to hire a qualified bathroom remodel company. We would've given zero stars, but had to give at least one star (per yelp) to post this review. We do not recommend Allen's General Services!
