BIG KUDOS! I would like to send a big shout-out to the staff at Emerald City…read moreAthletic Club to go beyond to help a fellow member. I have been going to this establishment for 16 years and I could not be happier. The club put a lot of money into recent renovations and upgrades. It is up to standards with state-of-the-art equipment. Whether a person chooses to use the machinery for cardiovascular purposes, muscle strength, or weight loss, this is the ideal place to achieve your fitness goals! It simply is not possible to walk out the door without feeling a profound sense of accomplishment and better overall health. The best part of all is the staff. I have had Cerebral Palsy all my life. I have had to make do with one wheelchair to use both inside my home and in my car. It was in bad shape. There is a wonderful maintenance lady by the name of Jen H. surprised me and gave me a cool wheelchair that she had at home. This chair was brand new and is a great chair for me to utilize at home. But the kindness and compassion did not stop there. My old wheelchair was in desperate need of an overhaul. She went ahead and ordered me a new seat for the chair and new armrests. Now, I can feel more at ease knowing I have extra reinforcements with new and sturdy material. Now I have both a wheelchair for my house and one for my car that I can use at the gym. That made my life so much easier. Jenn and a courteous staff member by the name of John Y. volunteered their time and installed both items for me right there at the club. The staff is so caring and friendly, and they do put the customer first as you can see. There is also a friendly lady who works at the front desk named Jenny V. who helps me put my wheelchair in my car when I am ready to leave at the end of the day. The staff at this club makes me feel like I matter. They are like family to me. I am committed to being a lifelong member of this gym. I give my highest regards and recommendations to this staff and cannot speak highly enough about them. If you are looking for a new gym, please go to the Emerald City Athletic Club. You will not be disappointed.

I was excited to join this gym once again... But today I was absolutely turned off during my first…read moreappointment that is not hoe I expected for it to go in the Everett location. This girl who calls herself a manager was really pushy for me to pay extra 95.00 to upgrade my membership. Not only that but she kept saying how much muscle i lost from last time I was there and just i felt like she was pulling me down instead of encouraging me or raising me up. Stop pushing people and instead listen to them. As a pyschology major I know what you are saying, but when someone tells you they can't right now just accept that... But instead she kept pushing and pushing. I understand you want to make your commmision I know how it all works this is not my first rodeo. Now i am pretty discouraged all over again. I signed up so I can try to slowly get back into working out after my car accident and physical therapy. But if people tell you something you listen not keep pushing.. .. Lets say you go to the car dealrship... You tell him I'm here just to look around and see what they have for my price range. All of a sudden someone jumps on you and keeps pushing you and pushing you to the point where you turn around and walk away. I hope this will be a lesson for this organization. If you are there for the money ,then you are not here for the people!

Made it easy, answered all our questions, gave a great tour of the place, and generally made us feel like we made the right decision. This…read moreorganization loves to advertise itself as being about community, inclusion, and caring for others--but when given a real opportunity to live those values, you failed completely. My daughter's partner was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given a prognosis of 6-12 months. He is currently on SSI disability since he can no longer work so his income is very limited, and asked about a free membership, and the answer was a flat no. Just policy over people. For an organization that claims to be community-focused, that response was shocking and unexpected. He is facing overwhelming physical, emotional, and financial stress. Something as simple as access to a supportive, healthy environment could make a meaningful difference--yet the Everett YMCA chose bureaucracy over basic human decency. If this is how you treat people at their most vulnerable, then all the talk about "healthy living," and "social responsibility" is just marketing fluff.

He explained…read morethe importance of the anterior, lateral, and posterior regions and we find areas where I need to improve on. I love collaborating with Ray because he is very, VERY knowledgeable. He can breakdown your workouts into simple formats and he can explain things into science when necessary. Our communication was amazing! When I have an injury, I say it. And the moment I say it, he immediately knows what to do and he shifts gears to work around it. I even mentioned about my left knee ACL surgery and guess what? He helped me work around that too! My goal was to get back into shuffling (electronic music dance form) and he pinpointed the areas where I need to work on most in order for me to effectively get back into my goal. He is such an amazing Trainer. The team is very welcoming and it feels like a second family.

Ray is a fantastic trainer with deep knowledge of his craft. I booked the 3 month Lean Out program…read morewith him and he was diligent in explaining all my nutrition and macro needs while ensuring I understood it all. In fact, he spent almost 4 hours with me (program covers only 2) just to explain everything in meticulous detail and cover all the modifications required for my individual health needs. He gave me twice the amount of time at no extra charge - he did it just because he cares. I had never worked with a trainer before and it made all the difference working with a professional like Ray. He was extremely attentive, motivating, and FUN! We became friends and I always looked forward to my training sessions. Another big advantage to book with PureResults is because Ray explains the reasoning behind each exercise and the reasoning behind the order we do it in because he cares about instilling that knowledge in his clients as well. I learned more about my body and how to take care of it working with Ray in this short time than I have in the last 10 years I've been trying to yo-yo diet and work out on my own. Your money is well spent here - Ray and May are honest, hard-working, knowledgeable, caring, and awesome individuals who want nothing more than to change peoples' lives for the better. Thank you for everything you've done for me and I can't wait to continue ASAP. BOOK YOUR SESSIONS HERE!!!! You won't regret it.

Been a member for a few weeks now and it's been great. Kevin has been the trainer I work with…read morebecause of the times I have been coming in It is SO MUCH a better deal than most gyms and here is why: 1. Personal Trainer with every workout at no extra cost!--Yeah, you read that right. It is nice to have someone lay it out for you. I don't have to think of diddly squat, I just show up and say 'what up Boss?", and he puts me to work to get my sweat on. It is good to have someone yell at you to keep on going. That way, it isn't just your own voice in your head motivating you. 2. They keep it fresh by mixing up the workouts--I do the same basic warm up stuff, but the tri-set circuits they have me on, they mix it up the exercise combos. It could be lateral hurdle hops-leaping squat rows and medicine ball figure 8's. or something else. something different everyday. 3. No Contracts and no signup fees-- Well first off they give you a week free, but if you want more after that, you just pay your months fee upfront and that is it. You can also pay by the class if you want, but I just did the month. thing. 4. SWEAT! SWEAT! SWEAT!-- I go in for one hour workouts and they keep me moving the whole time, it is go go go, and my shirt is soaked at the end. And it ain't fake hot yoga sweat, it is you are moving and busting ass sweat. It is 5 min warm-up on treadmill, the 7 or so warm up exercises, and then it is tri set circuit after tri set circuit after tri set circuit until my time is up. I sweated 4 lbs from beginning to end last Thursday! :) I would say if you live in the Everett area and want to join a gym to get in shape, this is the place to go
