I have been a black card member for years and there is a discrepancy with my phone number. I tried checking in with a barcode that was created by my home club. I checked in Evergreen branch and Mill Creek branch in Everett Washington and I was not greeted by the front desk, immediately felt like I was being judged, no eye contact, absolutely no help. I was refused to be let in even after the manager from my home club called and informed them of a duplicate record. They threatened to call the police. I was treated like crap. I left both times crying. I been across the United States and used my black card and never experienced such discrimination? If you are a van dweller you are not welcome. I had an extremely negative experience at this Planet Fitness location and felt compelled to share it. As a guest on my partner's account, I encountered two unacceptable situations that made my visits incredibly distressing. First, about a week ago, I was told by a staff member named Jesse that I could not access the gym facilities while my partner was in the locker room, despite providing my phone number and having no previous issues. I was forced to wait outside in the waiting area for over an hour, which was both inconvenient and humiliating. He claimed that I could be a "thief" while he sat there giggling with the same girl the second incident is about. Today, things got even worse. Due to my disability Severe (OCD), I shower with the curtain open because I am highly afraid of germs. A staff member yelled at me to close the curtain because I was allegedly making one other person uncomfortable. Despite my explanations and the fact that I told her I was finished with my shower, this staff member continued to berate me in front of everyone, causing me to have a panic attack. She yelled over and over " I don't care close the curtain!" It's astonishing that a locker room, where nudity is expected, would have such a rigid and poorly communicated policy. These incidents have left me deeply dissatisfied, UNCOMFORTABLE, and I will never return to this gym. The negative experiences overshadow any positive aspects, and it's clear that the staff at this location need better training on handling sensitive situations and enforcing policies fairly. I see naked women all the time in the actual locker room part of the locker room not showering. Never complained. Never felt uncomfortable. I have never complained before these incidents, however while I'm at it, the shower curtains never get cleaned, there is a shower that has been extremely clogged for over a month, the showers are also not cleaned often or throughly there is always hair in the drain and other nasty substances. My partner says that multiple shower heads in the gentleman's room are missing and there is also always little tiny black worms on the floor, he also stated that he saw a couple (man + woman) In the men's showers apparently showering together, and a tooth brush head on the shower floor that looked like it was covered in what looked like feces. But yeah sure worry about my normal naked body in a public locker room and shower. There is one employee here who has always been super nice and I hate that I do not know his name but he deserves a better job! He explained to me that this is not policy but the damage has been done. I usually don't take time to write reviews and this gym seems okay so I don't want to put a super low star rating.. Just hoping a manager sees this and it's fixed.. I pay for the black card membership which gives me access to the tanning beds.. today I decided to go in to tan and the bed looks disgusting. Considering it's the only lay down bed - you'd think they'd take better care of it. However, it's not the top of the bed that is dirty.. it's underneath the top plastic. How it got dirty in the first place? Who knows.. but there is grass, hair, smudge marks, etc. To clean this would be as simple as unscrewing the plastic and cleaning underneath. I understood the dirtiness was underneath, but it was still uninviting and made me uncomfortable to lay on. I'm not saying $25 is a lot of money, but to pay $15 extra for the extra amenities with the beds looking like this is ridiculous. On top of the annual fee that covers equipment and cleaning... Fortunately not all locations are like this, but I probably won't be coming back to this location. read more

Use to come here when it was Fitness Evolution. Memberships fees were reasonable, tall ceilings and plenty of equipment. Planet fitness is not my type of gym. Their membership prices are cheap but even then, the alarm and pizza. Currently don't have a gym membership. read more

Post Covid report: I really missed this place and a few pounds later I thought it would be nice to loose some Covid weight so I started. All staff changed but they are just as friendly and for the most part the equipment works fine. The shower pressure still sucks but that's ok. The price is very affordable as it is $10 bucks for no frills and $24 for the black card that gives you tanning and massages plus this wired red light therapy that reminds me of something in blade Runner... great job staff and a great workout for the price read more

I really enjoy going to this gym and taking their classes . I have recently found out that the trainer is leaving and there are no plans to replace or hire a new one which means no more gym classes. From what I understand these locations aren't affiliated with each other and this location has stood out amongst the others I've visited. The second most dirty gym I've ever been in. I chose PF because I work construction so it makes moving around easy. I signed up at this location because it's close to my home. However by the second day I immediately realized that I made a mistake. I asked about a hard transfer once was told no problem. Never went through so then a second time. Same response with an apology. By the third time I was practically ignored by the same guy I'd dealt with the two prior attempts. Joe or something doesn't matter I'm not paying his checks. Machines are consistently down but the one leg press machine they have was "serviced" with an adhesive instead of a lubricant or at least that's what Joke (aka Joe) told me when I mentioned that it was jammed up and that someone was probably going to get hurt trying to use it. So he knew it was messed up and allowed novice users to attempt using it anyway, cool. Good job Joke. Today, September 30th 2022 I went to the Planet Fitness in Everett to get a membership. I was informed by the employees that I couldn't sign up because I choose not to have a checking account. Even though, I have two perfectly good debit cards that I can use anywhere in the world, apparently except for planet fitness. Both of my debit cards are issued by the US Government (US Direct Express) for the receipt of Veterans benefits and Social Security. Anyone know a good discrimination lawyer? read more

This is truly more around 3.5 stars. I came from having horrible gym experiences all my life to a gym where I feel comfortable and actually enjoy coming. The environment is great, the culture is inviting and non judgemental, and I am getting in the best shape I've ever been in! The staff has always been nothing but friendly as well! I also love that they are allowing teens in for the summer, I'm all about promoting activity at a young age. But I think limiting the hours of the day or the amount of teens would be great to the other members of the gym (I.e teen hours are 12-4 pm or limit 2 teens per guardian). There should also be a rule around guardians staying with the teens. I've seen improper use of machines and also machines being occupied just by them hanging out on them, near them, or playing on them with no guardian. I'm sure it's a liability to the gym but can also be a nuisance when we are attempting to use the machines. This isn't a make it or break it for me, I really love it here. Maybe just some feedback for the business that they may not know and knowledge for those wanting to join! read more

All I want is to downgrade my membership, but these guys will do everything they can to prevent me from doing that. It has been two weeks, three in-person requests and one phone call with the manager and NOTHING was done. I kept getting empty promises. The Mill Creek location staffs told me they reached out to the manager of this Everett location numerous times to ask him/her to transfer, it has been two weeks and nothing was done. Love how reasonable the cost is and I get all I need from a fitness club there. The place is very clean and the staff seems friendly. Only negative for me is I regularly want to use the weight machines and people are just sitting on them texting or checking out messages. I saw someone the other day using the leg press as a place to sit while they texted for 20 minutes. Today I waited for a machine again for a lengthy time while someone sat and texted. It seems to be more and more common for some reason. I'll keep going for now but it's frustrating people can't stay off their phones for the time it takes to work out. read more

I was charged the monthly fee AFTER I had canceled my membership. I have spent the last TWO months trying to get my money back just to be told "We will take care of it" but I still don't have my money back. I have spoken to TWO different managers: Jake and Joe. I have also emailed their regional manager at: elijah.coombs@ohanagp.com and never heard back from him. I have called corporate and still don't have my money back. It is disgusting how they treat their customers here. I am seeking legal action now hoping I'll get their attention since NO ONE cares enough to refund me the money they have stolen from me. This gym is clean and the staff are very helpful. The equipment is well maintained, to the point of appearing brand-new. The other members respect the mask mandate, and almost universally clean the equipment they have just used. I mention this because the community that attends a gym is about as important as the amenities and equipment at the gym itself. I originally signed up in October of 2020, just before the second round of shutdowns. I know some other reviewers were sore about not being notified about this location reopening via email. While I sympathize with their frustration, this was not bothersome to me; especially when that information was available inside of 5 seconds with a Google search. read more

I joined shortly before the pandemic, and enjoyed using the facilities. But this review is about their customer service. I've never had nicer customer service from any gym anywhere. I had to cancel my membership due to underlying health problems, and they were great! No badgering me about staying on longer or saying that I wouldn't get a refund. Absolutely great people there. This gym is a great value in a great location. After coming twice a week for six months I become more and more impressed with what a great deal it is. Unlimited access to machines, classes, free weights, and hydromassage for about $20 a month. Particular to this gym I also have to say it's never so busy you can't get in on any of the machines or can't find a staff member to help you. The gym is tidy and there's plenty room for all of us. The staff here are both inviting and encouraging. - (Shoutout to Sam and David!) As to constructive feedback it would be good if the trainers schedule aligned better with Boeing and School District employees who usually get off work between 14:00 and 16:00. There's a very cool option here to plan your workout with an expert but all those times are either in the morning or the evening. For a final perspective consider that for the price of a single calorie loaded meal, which we are better without, you could afford a membership at this gym and make a step in the right direction. read more

It's $20 for a membership along with a $40/year charge which includes the black card spa. If nothing else, you'll save tons just using their spa for the tanning/red light. There are always machines open when I need them. Locker rooms are always clean. I have never had an issues with this Planet Fitness location. I have the black card membership and I frequently use the massage tables and chairs. The front staff are usually friendly but don't really go out of their way for exceptional service, which is fine. The gym is very clean and the women's bathroom is spotless. To see how this club and the corporate office (which by the way if you are trying to get a hold of them good luck, they have a number but it's disconnected) has handled reopening after closing for Covid is disheartening. So many people have been impacted by Covid and clubs that handle business this way is deceitful and poor customer service. Back in the end of January we started seeing charges for the club again, news to us that it was open. I guess that's their way of letting you know. however I have read in some review comments that they sent in the email. Something I honestly wouldn't have been looking for after it's been closed for so long. Anyways we had intended to cancel our membership as soon as it opened as we were financially not in a place to continue paying for membership. When we had contacted the club about cancellation and a refund of the charges that were accrued we were told that we needed to come into the club to cancel and that we would not be receiving a refund of the charge. We pushed back on their reason , "coming into the club to cancel" because prior to that the club was not open. I don't know how someone is supposed to cancel their club membership when they're required to go into the club when the club is not open. We progressed it further to planet fitness corporate office and was told that we would be receiving a refund for the charges because the club personally refused to refund us.We had waited for it to be refunded (We did have to keep our account open so that they could access our membership number to refund us, per their request .) In the meantime we accrued charges for annual fee memberships. We called back and were told that we would receive a refund for those charges and that it would be escalated. We since then have received no refund for any of the charges accrued and have since then not been able to get a hold of planet fitness corporate office. I actually tried to call the number that we have called in the past and is and it is currently not a working number. Too many members calling? I'm guessing so. I don't wanna be a member of any club that makes it this difficult to get out of. Which is really sad to say because I have enjoyed my time at planet fitness in the past but have not enjoyed this experience post the re-opening after Covid. I think first impressions are important but I also think the exiting is just as much important. Their exit leaves very little to be desired. I wish the same friendly service was provided upon exit as is provided upon becoming a member. What started out as leaving the club because we couldn't afford the membership at this time has now turned into I would never want to be a part of a club like this that only wants to receive members and makes it very difficult for them to leave. WORST GYM EVER!!! they got me on a membership and then never notified me that they were back open. Just started charging me! I tried to call about getting refunded since I had no idea and haven't used my membership AT ALL. The guy on the phone was super rude and said he wasn't going to help me with a refund or anything. He told me if I want to cancel I needed to MAIL THEM A LETTER, and he wouldn't be able to do anything, which feels A LOT like a lie. After I told him I never received any notice, he told me that I had. Apparently he thinks I'm full of it. Overall poor customer service and rude employees. This place just wants to take your money and does not care about their customers. I would highly suggest going elsewhere. read more

They wouldn't refund me 2 months of membership since I had no idea they were open. Plus they shortened their hours which I work during the times they are open... I can't wear a mask while working out, so I cancelled my membership. I would have kept it if they refunded my 2 months, allow us to not wear a mask while working out, and had better hours. I had the $25 black card membership. I used to stop by during the week after work at midnight. Now they close at 9pm. Wish they let their members know they reopened after covid... other than that I like the Everett and Lynnwood location. I love that my membership is only $10 a month! I've been going here for 2 months now and I enjoy this gym. It's really clean, there's lots of equipment to use and the people working at the front desk have always been really nice to me. I haven't participated in any of their training classes but I see lots of people doing those classes and they seem to enjoy them. I've been to the Lake a Forest & Kent locations and this is the nicer of the 3. (And the Kent location is brand new) I think the only thing I don't like is they still have the basic water fountains as opposed to the ones designed for people to fill up their water bottles but that's not even a big deal. The locker rooms are always clean, this gym is bigger than the other 2 I went to, and the staff is super friendly. I'm here 6 times a week so this is all important. Cheap, clean, well-maintained, and friendly staff. No complaints from me. read more

In town for work and have worked out at Planet Fitness all over the country. Was jump roping completely away from anyone at 1p, so not even busy at the gym. An attendant comes over and tells me the managers don't allow jump rope at the gym. Not sure why and didn't ask. Unnecessary rules based off of what the managers "like" make no sense at all. Ironically enough I came to this location IN SPITE of seeing the other bad reviews here on yelp. Maybe this location should just shut down and the managers should find jobs that aren't in fitness. read more

It's a decent gym and monthly rate but they made me angry enough today to post them a lousy review. Today was the last day of their "refer a new member, get a free month" special, so I called to make sure this offer was good if we did so in person, and they told us to get here by 3:30pm and it would be no problem. When we got here, of course they said it had to be done online and that I would not get my discount for the referral. I'd like to add that they did not waive or lower their annual membership fees despite being closed for over half the year due to Covid. They have lousy, impersonal corporate policies and I am constantly disappointed by their customer service. Their employees are terrible at their jobs and management doesn't care. Tried it out for a few months. There were a few problems I found. There are no real free weight benches. No pull up bars. It's a bit dirty also. I looked up and there is exposed fiberglass insulation in places with fans blowing some of it around. Ceiling area has a lot of dust coating duct work, conduit and all the structures up there. That's the problem with exposed ceilings. For a long time it smelled like something was burning in there. May have been the hvac sucking in chimney smoke from the neighbors or defective equipment was smoldering. read more

Shoot if they had room they'd even sell oysters, but besides the perfection crammed in this warehouse with rubber floor. I get that we're in the midst of global frenzy on whose gonna press the "That was easy button" first, but this place is friggin immaculate in terms of hygiene and I'll admit I forgot to wipe down where I had been raining testosterone on the bench press seats, forgive my rambling. Something about her way with words and ability to withhold a conversation, whilst simultaneously taking my money. I'd like to see her take my money while I'm reciting scriptures from the necronomicon and calling upon the droves of ever dying and birthing souls of the underworld. Changing to one star because the WiFi here is straight trash. I don't care about not having a bar or bench press. The least you can do is give us decent WiFi. But instead the WiFi is straight trash. You can afford to pay an extra $10 a month for faster internet. Literally every day I have to "forget this network" and reconnect then wait a good 5-10 mins before it will even connect to your trash internet. After you've connected it then decides it's going to be hit or miss the entire time. read more

What a frustrating experience .... I just moved here from LA in December so I know all to well the gym mentality but part of why I joined Planet fitness was to get away from that, and for the first month (after reopening) this place didn't disappoint. Unfortunately that's no longer true, this location is packed (and I mean no chance it's under 30% capacity) with all the meat heads that can't find another open gym to plague ..... bags everywhere, people wearing tank tops flexing in the mirror doing more chatting then lifting and don't get me started on the groups of friends that come in here and stand around being extremely obnoxious. I waited to post this I mean I really gave this place a chance changing my usual gym time and switching my off days to no avail, I hate cancel culture and I hate being a snitch but someone needs to step up and say something even if it is on Yelp since the staff gave me the "sorry you had a bad experience but there is nothing we can do" excuse .... anyone looking to join, be ready, besides the hours this place has become as bad as 24 or LA fit so good luck read more

I generally ride the stationary bike and run on the treadmill. There are approximately 50 treadmills but only 6 stationary bikes. One third of these bikes have mechanical problems. One has a left pedal whose bearings are shot. Another, the best I can explain, clutch slips and pedals unevenly. The problems may not be noticeable at lower RPM's or levels but can be annoying when riding at 100 RPM's at level 14 and up. I have told the people at the front desk a couple of times but the problems continue. It would be nice if these bikes were upgraded with interactive machines where one can compete against phantom racers over different courses. Still a great value. read more

Cheap! The machines and workout machines are good. I go there to tan. I've noticed that I don't get that dark. they need to remind paterons to clean the bed after they are done. I'm over seeing a body lining of sweat when I go into tan. read more

This is my second bad review based on being wrongfully charged from planet Fitness. They took the monthly fee out of my checking account and the next day they credited me back I thought I was getting a credit for the first bad review I left but come to find out they just charged me double a few days later and said I had insufficient funds so they charged me with a late fee. I don't ever have insufficient funds not only did I get paid that week I always have a lot of money in my bank account. Now I have to take time after my long work day and go in to planet Fitness personally and show them a copy of my bank statement and get my money back. They are not 24 hours as advertised. They close at 8 on the weekends so basically a big f u to those of us who work more during the days and weekends. Not to sound sexist but all the male customer service employees have been nice and helpful. The female ones act like your bothering them and will barely speak to you if at all. When I went in to get my card after signing up online the girl wouldn't talk and explain how to do anything and never got a tour. Its cheap so I guys what you get what you pay for. . read more
