Wow. This place is incredible! Mill-King Market is a specialty grocery store hidden in a small farm in Mcgregor. I can't believe Waco has such a luxury. Mill-King offers organic non-gmo grass-fed, grass-finished no hormones/no antibiotics high end nutrient-dense animal products (meat, dairy, eggs) for the same price as H-E-B!! Normally these products would cost an arm and a leg at Whole Foods! The meat/dairy/eggs you buy at H-E-B is garbage compared to what Mill-king has to offer. I can taste the difference, and I will no longer buy cheap animal products from other grocery stores. Mill-king also offers unique organic products, like you would find at Whole Foods. For example: Cita's Salsa (high-pressure pasteurized salsa, fresh taste!), organic non-gmo cereals, organic frozen mango, Lick ice cream (the best ice cream you'll ever taste!) If you are a fan of MillKing Dairy products, do make a trip out to their farm store in McGregor, Tx. It's a nice little drive and is perfectly nestled on Coyote lane. Surrounded by beautiful green fields, trees and happy cows. You will be greeted by a welcoming committee. The staff are friendly and happy to be there. The store carries eggs (chicken and duck.) All levels of milk as well as cheese, they were out of butter. There are all sorts of local made products, jams/jellies, nuts, household cleaning products as well as some organic produce and other clean pantry staples. They also had a fridge with pork, beef and chicken meats- all locally grown. They do have branded merch to include old school tin cup-looking mugs, glass cups, bags and a cute milk jug jar opener. It was so quiet and peaceful. Definitely a trip everyone should make. We took home some milk, chicken sausage and cheese curds. We had never had cheese curds before this. You really must get them when you visit! read more

Adorable little out of the way spot - a great source for organic milk, butter, and cream! I haven't been able to find this stuff anywhere else in the Waco area. They also sell their own meats, cheeses, and ice cream, as well as a varied collection or health food and specialty items. Found them on the Towny app, and will 100% be back! So you might not be able to make it to their little country store every day or even every week, but that's okay. There are a couple of delivery ways you can buy product from this Market and Creamery, and I have found them through Farmhouse Delivery. The first item of theirs I tried was a coop white cheddar pimento artisanal cheese. I don't like pimento--at least I didn't think I did! I smeared it all over a toasted bagel--with farm fresh creamy butter from them too--and it was divine. But what really got me was the milk. Creamy, bright white, sweet milk. Milk that doesn't upset my stomach and cause gastro problems. Milk from happy cows that is safe to drink. And delivered fresh and cold right to my front door? OMGosh, it was so good! There are so many different delicacies to choose from, you'll want to make a trip to the store--which mostly works on the honor system, so be sure to be prepared for that--there's not always someone available to help you out in store. But everything I've read says they answer emails promptly and have great customer service. I'm wheelchair bound and can't really get out to the farm stores or the farmer's markets, so the fact they deliver to local area grocery stores and also deliver through services like Farmhouse, means that I get to have farm fresh eggs(have you SEEN the yolks on eggs from happy chickens who can eat buggies and seeds and grass and whatever else they want while they roost in trees? Again, I'm gushing over all these wonderful farm markets that are starting to open up and cater to people like me, or busy professionals, and even having prices that are quite comparable to grocery store prices for equal quality products. It makes the fresh, good, SAFE food available to more people than ever before. Thank you Mill-King for offering these healthy, healthful and animal-friendly alternatives! read more

Milk, cream, and butter are staples in the Texas diet, yet the majority of the state sources the trio from a couple of mass-production names. Far from this, Mill-King, a homegrown creamery, has put its foot down by cranking out small batch, high-fat calf nourishment. Though the farm location, as noted above, creates a detour in your typical market trip, you would receive quite the notch on your belt if you gave these folks a call and visited the actual facility. For those less adventurous, you can source these fine dairy-based products from the likes of many "local-driven" shops in Austin and at the Farmer's Markets. Additionally, MK also distributes to a select number of vendors in H-Town, the Big D, and even Waco, the armpit of America. The cheese curds offer any cook who wishes to utilize these "seemingly unnatural" goods in their grub--for me, I throw it into thick soups and curries for some true American excess. Or, you can go Canadian and whip up poutine! Alas, the fantastic texture of the fresh curds must be attributed to none other than the milk! Definitely off the beaten path (20-minute drive from I-35) but totally worth it! Delicious raw milk, butter, meats, eggs, produce, yogurt (yum!), and much more here at Mill King, all of it delicious and very fresh. Some items are from other local farms and I liked all the variety. You could get nearly everything for a meal there. Bring a couple coolers and cash/change. I recommend going when it's light out because it's a little tricky to find in the dark and the cows are super cute. Careful on the country roads, too, lots of pets and animals around so go slow. Please support this business, owners are very nice and they make a great product. I've found their raw milk to be good for seasonal allergy relief as well. read more

This grass-feed dairy farm makes the best non-homogenized milk I've found in Texas. It's always incredibly fresh and consistent, and very good value for the level of quality. It is easier to shake up and doesn't get too separated like the Organic Valley "Grassmilk". I love that they use low-temperature pasteurization, which allows their wholesome milk to be sold in stores and at farmers markets. This process helps the milk last longer than raw milk, but without the excessively high temperatures used in normal and UHT (ultra-high temp) pasteurization that kill so much of the good bacteria and enzymes. This place is amazing! Not only do they have the best dairy products, produced the RIGHT way, raw, non homogenized, or low heat, from 100% grass fed and finished cows, but also so much more! All meat comes from grass fed, pasture raised, no steroids, no hormones, no pesticides, no GMO feed, no SOY!!, cows, chickens, and pigs.
