I was looking for a good breakfast spot and came across Millans Restaurant. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I ordered chilaquiles (verde), which were delicious. A side of potatoes and beans. It was so good. The place was nice and calm inside. It was not too busy, which was great. Overall, the service was excellent! It's totally worth coming back here. Thank you!

Came here with my dad. This is what he wanted. I don't eat Mexican food. Only my moms cooking. This place was ok. Others love it. My dad does too. So I can't complain. I just stay away from Mexican spots. It's not them, it's me. The mojarra plate is proper. Nice portion, fresh fries and crisp salad. I had a good time with my dad so it's all good. Now, don't take my review as a reason not to go. Give them a try and support local. Thanks for the good experience. Keep it up.

We had a great dinner experience yesterday. They have outside seating and did everything they could to accommodate us and feel safe. The food was delicious! My only problem was how full I felt afterwards, which was totally my fault. We had guacamole and chips and shared the seafood platter (fuente de mariscos) with hand made tortillas. We also sampled the shrimp empanadas which were delicious. The staff were kind enough to teach us how to open the crab legs.. i will post a picture but keep in mind we had already started eating it. Enjoy!

The food here continues to be amazing. It's delicious and never disappoints. This morning we ordered the chilaquiles verdes AND rojos and the car fish soup, as well as menudo. Phenomenal Cafe de olla here is amazing. Service is great every time. Will definitely keep coming back. read more

I ordered takeout via yelp and it was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. The waitress was friendly, pleasant and attended me on my arrival. I ordered scrambled 'huevos con chorizo' that is served with side of beans, home style potatoes, chips and salsa. It was all fresh delicious and authentic. I did not spend a lot of time indoors but the ambiance was calm and clean. I can't opine on other dishes but I definitely recommend giving them a try. Prices are understandably competitively high due to the current egg shortage and inflation caused by the current incompetent maga administration. read more

Great food, but hours need to be updated I love this place and come often, the food is always amazing and I usually get it to go out of respect for their closing routine. However, I've noticed that on weekends, even though they're listed as open until 9pm, the door is often locked by 8:30. I get that staff needs time to clean and close, but if that's the case the posted hours should reflect that. It feels a bit lazy and misleading. Just be honest about the real closing time so regulars like me don't waste a trip. read more

Great food! I had ceviche and it was good. The tilapia is also good. So fresh and tasty. Add for extra lemons. Delicious aguas frescas. My favorite was the pepino chia lemonade. Service was great even for the busy afternoon after folk got out of church. Ambiance was clean and chill. The music was not too loud and it was easy to asks for stuff. The waitresses were very generous and attentive. I love that this place takes Apple Pay! Will def come back. For a delicious place is HP this was not crowded. Fire fish tacos these taste better than some places I've been in Mexico that cater to "tourist". Funding good Mexican food in L.A. isn't as easy as you would think. Coming from San Diego where we can literally drive across the boarder it has been a struggle in comparison to what I'm used to. Truly one of the best Mexican spots in LA. And that's a heavy statement as anyone who lives here knows. The marlin and seafood selection are incredible. The mole is rich and dark. The homemade tortillas are REAL. Even if you don't live nearby, this local spot is 100000% worth the drive. read more

I have been coming to eat at millans ranchito for more than four years and tried various dishes on the menu during the course of the years they have maintained their quality and flavor what I love that they always receive me with warm greetings the staff always attentive without a doubt one of the best of authentic Mexican food and seafood in the city its mocajetes a delight just like their ceviches its fresh waters of different flavors very refreshing but above all a very clean place. read more

We stopped in after the Dodgers game and it may have been the highlight of the day! The Shrimp and Marlin empanadas are a must try. After devouring those, we ordered a Shrimp cocktail that came out as cold as ice with fresh shrimp, crisp vegetables and a perfect avocado. All of the Main courses were delicious but the Fish Tacos were the equivalent of a home run! To wash it all down we had a couple ice cold beers with freshly cut limes. Since it was Mother's Day, we had every excuse to try the Tres Leches cake which made the whole table smile. Stop in and have a seat at the clean tables in the cool AC for great food and great service! read more

This little place is walking distance from where I work, which is super convenient since we do not park our cars on site and do not get to eat out of the building much. My coworker loves this place so we walked down the street to check out their lunch specials. The lunch special of the day was chicken enchiladas that came with a side of rice and beans, and also crema de elote soup. The soup was surprisingly good, I wasn't expecting much of it and it was really yummy. The chicken enchiladas were very good as well, they were not overpowered by salsa, so they were not soggy. The rice and beans were pretty good, not great, but still good. I also wasn't particularly nuts about the tortilla chips, but the plate came with sour cream. You know how I love sour cream, lol. They also have a happy hour with margarita specials, but it's usually way after my lunch time at work, lol, so maybe one day... The lunch specials are different every day of the week and the service is good and friendly, so hopefully we'll get a chance to come check out some of the other specials on other days of the week. I don't know if I would walk here again though, it is in an industrial part of Vernon where there are plenty of truck drivers and such to make your walking experience that much more pleasant, lol. read more

This is my favorite go to Mexican spot. You'll love it too if you're looking for something to eat that is authentic and is home made. They have great soups and a daily soup special, tacos, and a range of cooked plates. The Molca salsa is great and the guacamole is my absolute favorite. Almost forgot to mention the ceviche tostada. I can in because I was filming across the street and wanted to eat some quick food. I ordered through Grubhub but they didn't have Grubhub tablet so I was charged for the meal and didn't even have it ordered. I called grubhub to get a refund and then called the restaurant to place the order. I ordered the Camarones a la Diabla and let me tell you it was... mediocre. The cheese in the beans was hard and the rice tasted old. When I went to drink my pina drink it had fruit flies in it as well as black spots in the ice. I decided against drinking it and just continued to test the waters with the food. The shrimp seemed to be okay as I didn't get sick. The only reason I would return to this place is to get a second chance because of their customer service. They lady that helped me was very nice and through with making sure my order was correct. I would like to see these things improve as it may have not been a good day for them. Thanks for coming to my review. read more

This is a long over do review, if you want authentic Mexican food with amazing prices, look no further this hidden gem has it all; delicious chilaquiles, micheladas, carde asada burrito, and mouth watering molcajete but my ultimate favorite has been their sea food!!! A hidden gem. I was introduced to this place because my wife and I were celebrating a relatives birthday. It was our first time visiting and trying the food at Millan's. Wow! The molcajete mixta is a delight for two. Tender, juicy, and looked amazing. The service by our waitress was great. Very attentive and involved. Bonus, they welcomed our little toddler with care and provided assistance with feeding needs. Will definitely be returning. read more

I was told I would be charged an additional $2 because the potato salad is more expensive than the rice. What really bothered me was that a Bud Light for $4.25 was added to my order even though I never ordered a beer. I noticed it when I checked my receipt and went back to ask about it. I was told that I had ordered it, which was not true. I do see that the Bud Light was eventually voided on the receipt, so I was not charged for it in the final total. However, I should never have had to question an item I never ordered in the first place. Check your receipt carefully before leaving this place. I personally will not be coming back. Very disappointing customer service and experience.

The Animal Style fries were so indulgent, delicious, and I was pleased with the amount I received. I appreciate that they hand-cut the potatoes right in front of you, so their fries are incredibly fresh. To finish dinner, the vanilla milkshake was the right move. The flavor was excellent and it was surprisingly thick! I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable my meal was, being in LA, this was probably the most inexpensive meal I had! This place had my uncles working here back in the day. After the owner passed away the kids took over the restaurant and it had a downfall. Lately the restaurant is starting to feel like the owner still runs it. The downfall has been surpassed and this restaurant is now good again. I strongly recommend plates like the tampiqueña, enchiladas and the caldo de camaron. Service is exceptional, I don't even have to ask for a refill because the bus boys and the waiters always make sure my drink is full. 100/100 read more

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was about nine years old and I've always loved the food. The specials are really accessible for people who can't afford much, and it's a full meal. And if you do have a bit of money to splurge with, their Molcajete Mexicano is really fantastic, a bit spicy but that's just how I like my food. They have lots of options and the staff is always really polite and quick to offer and help. All in all, it's a meal you won't ever regret! read more

So.. we were in town and just driving around and decided to eat here. The food was mediocre and the service was bad. I only seen our waitress twice to get our order and to give us our check. Then when we got the bill it was $60 for 3 adults and 1 kid. Not worth it. Outside the building they advertise fresh hand-made tortillas but what we received were COLD handmade tortillas and a bit floppy. Definitely don't recommend eating here. read more
