I went today to Milla's. Milla personally worked on my hair with confidence and reassured me the whole way. I came in as a stranger and left as part of the family. Milla's is amazing. Horrible experience. Do not recommend. If you know what you want, don't go here. You'll get whatever she feels like doing and then you'll get gaslighted about what you asked for. I gave her specifics and references and then she gave me a basic man's short cut. It's terrible. What I wanted was essentially the same cut I had before but it had grown out. When I expressed my outrage she said it wasn't long enough to begin with. It was in fact so much longer to begin with that I came in to get it cut back to that. Horrible experience. read more

I have struggled for years to find someone experienced to help choose a good hair style for my daughters since my oldest has very thick hair and not many people know how to properly cut thick hair. Very disappointed!!! i visited based on the review with reasonable price since I just came to AZ for visiting. I came & asked for shampoo and blowout for hair and asked if she have any treatments for hairs. Milla said yes and told the price was $55 and I asked if it already included everything, she said yes ( both me & my boyfriend heard that) but styling would be more so I would thought if it without curling or straightening hair. Then end up she charged $90 for that whole thing I askes you said it would be $55 earlier, and she considered blowdry is styling why wouldn't she tells in the beginning is that included or confirmed with me before doing it. Then she stated it took her 20min to blowdry the hair and said my hairs is really hard to do??? I asked how long was the treatment leave on she said 20min but it was just took around 15min then 10min for the blowdry but end up $90 for the services. Is not about the price I paid but the way she trynna mixed it to make me misunderstood and trynna upcharged me. Also I don't really enjoy the hair wash that much when she just do only 1 time of hair wash and put the treatment on and I even asked to trynna wash harder she said to calm down she needs to do step by step but ended up feel nothing. If I could give them more stars I would. I was in Arizona for work in 2021. I had been to a salon in Scottsdale and another in Phoenix. The one in Scottsdale was over rated and the one in Phoenix was nice but I was leaving the following week and never went back. When I returned to area again for work, I found this salon in Glendale that I discovered this salon. The ladies that work here are the best people you could ever meet. Diana has been the one who has done my hair from the first time. I would not let anyone ever touch my hair again but her when I am in Arizona. When I know I am coming back to the area - she is first text. She pointed out how the Scottsdale salon only did my highlights on the top not through out. She also helped me to repair damage that had been by a previous that burned my hair. It never felt better, healthier. I told her what I wanted but she knew if I did what I wanted, it would do further damage. So I trusted her, which at that point, was hard to give. But she was right. I was there for hours and hours, her mother had brought food from for their lunch and she shared it with me. This has happened more than once. They are the nicest, sweetest and honest people you'd ever want to meet. Today I got my first pedicure and I was a bit nervous. After years of neglect and putting myself last, I gave in and got my first pedicure. Now I will be going more often to keep my nails in better shape and to make healthy again. As a mother, I always put myself last. These ladies don't make you feel guilty for putting yourself first some times. If you want honest opinions about what looks good on you, hairstyle, cut, color - you can trust them. It may not be what you want to hear (I used to like my hair with gel and curly but since Diana showed me what I would like with straight her - I no longer miss my curls. She was right.) When I back home in NJ, I go to one salon and I make sure she doesn't do anything to damage the work Diana has worked very hard to finally get me to where I have wanted my hair. It took months but I am absolutely happy with the color I have finally been able to achieve. I had to learn patience. Not once have I left their salon unhappy! And sometimes not hungry anymore. Lol I am leaving Arizona for home this week. I have formed a friendship with Diana and the second I know I am due back in AZ. She is my first text for an appointment. This place is fantastic! A real hidden gem. I recently moved to AZ from CA where I had the same stylist for 25 yrs. I tried a few places in the west valley but they were all very expensive or inexperienced working with colored thin hair. Milla & her daughter Diana are fantastic! They are pleasant, funny and have a very family oriented environment. They are very experienced and have great suggestions when working with my hair. They are also very honest and will tell you when they don't recommend you doing something to your hair. All in all great prices, and very quick. I have hair to my chin it was dark brown and I went to a medium brown with some highlights let me tell you it cost me $400 . I walked in today with a hair emergency! The mom and daughter who run the place where so kind and helpful. They got me right in. I went to a salon in scotsdale who left me hair orange. It was a mess and they had me in and out in less then a hour and a half. Which was amazing considering I have 5 the amount of hair as a normal person.not to mention while working on 4-5 other women. Im going to leave an honest review after ten days of having my haircut. When I went in, it was chill - nothing out of the ordinary. This was the day before my birthday so I had high hopes after reading the reviews. The owners daughter greeted me and asked to wait until someone was available. From the time I got my hair washed to when it was styled, I would say it was (at most) 20 minutes. One of the things I would like to point out is that while I was getting my hair cut, all I could smell was cigarettes. I don't judge but I certainly don't like smelling cigarettes as I'm getting my hair done. Using gloves when smoking or even changing shirts can go a long way! Nevertheless, they were very nice and I don't have any issues there. Another thing I've noticed when styling my hair is that one side is about an inch long than the other one. This has made styling my hair super annoying because it just sits different - whether you do a blow out, curls or straighten it. It's frustrating but there's really nothing I can do now. Lastly, I paid $75 for a 15/20 minute process and I honestly did think it was quite a bit but how everything is now a days, it's to be expected. Good price! Went in to get my eyelashes permed($35) and my lashes and my eyebrows tinted ($25 for both or $15 for one service). I love my eyelashes, the curl came out great! I love waking up looking like i did my lashes/mascara. I also like the tinted eyebrows and how my thin asian hair looks a little more thick. However, the quality was not there like how I would like it to be. The person who did my services was taking care of another persons hair in the middle of my service and went from touching her hair to my eyes without washing her hands which I was not the most thrilled about. I also didn't like how sloppy the work was. A part of my face burned for about 30 seconds when she accidentally put the tint on my skin by my eye. The tint that was under my eye now has a dark shadow tint like my eyeliner smeared, but not super noticeable. They do not use that white guard under your eye, they simply just stroke it on with a brush. The tint got under my eyes and I had to scrub it off. For my brow tint i had to scrub off the tint that was on my skin because it was poorly done and the tail of my brow was crooked, but its okay because at least my brow hairs are darker. After that being said, I would still come back and get my services done here because of the price. I hope that maybe my experience here will be better next time I come, and I can give it a better review/rating! read more

I went to Milla's salon to get eyelash extensions for the very first time. The staff there is incredible and very friendly. I was a little scared at first with having stuff so close to my eyes, but they made me feel comfortable during the application. In fact it was a very relaxing experience! The eyelash extensions came out amazing, just like I wanted them. Since it was my first time ever getting eye lash extensions I thought they were going to be uncomfortable and bother my eyes, but I was wrong. They're very light weight, they feel just like my natural lashes. I can't even feel like I have them on. I would definitely recommend Milla for eyelash extensions. read more

It's been a week since Milla cut my hair. Today is the first day I have left my house without covering my hair with a baseball cap, or pulling it back into a ponytail. Milla cut shaggy uneven layers into my hair that had been perfectly all one length. These layers make the hair on one side of my head stick out, while the other side lays flat. The owner Milla and her daughter Diana are absolutely amazing. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded and tinted there for 6yrs and I always get tons of compliments on how great my eyebrows look. The mother daughter duo always do an incredible job on my brows, They also offer a number of different services which you can take a look at via their website. I also took my mother here to get her haircut and Diana did a wonderful job my mom loved it.
