My boyfriend and I were craving a late Mediterranean dinner and decided to try Millbrae Kebabs & Gyro for the first time. We walked in about five minutes before closing, and the staff was kind enough to still make our order to go. The interior felt really cultural and homey, which made the place feel welcoming right away. They had run out of chicken, so we ordered the beef plate instead -- and it was 10/10. Being 7 months pregnant, overheating, and sitting down for literally ONE minute should not be treated like a crime. I sat in an EMPTY chair outside this establishment just to cool down because I was feeling overheated. Instead of compassion, I was approached and told I needed to move because the chairs were "for customers only." What shocked me even more was the response they later sent me after I shared my experience. They accused me of "lying," said I was "blocking" tables, and even brought up my dog as if I was causing some huge issue... meanwhile the restaurant was nearly empty and I had barely sat down. Their exact energy was basically: "You may be pregnant but..." That alone says enough. No pregnant woman should be made to feel unwelcome for needing a 1-minute break in the heat. Policies are one thing, but basic human kindness and empathy should still exist. This could've been handled with compassion instead of humiliation. Do better read more

Came here as a party of 2, ordered two chicken wraps, an order of fries, straightforward order. Fries came out first, first thing we noticed was no salt on the fries. My eating partner claimed they ordered the Parmesan fries but checked her receipt and was not charged the Parm fries so no biggie, except there was no salt. Wraps came, nothing on the plate other than the wrap and a sauce that looked like 1000 Island. No garnish, no attempt to make the dish appealing.No salad or wrap on a bed of name-your-choice, plain plate, might as well have been a paper plate . Took first bite with a little sauce, the best taste came from the sauce. In fact, that's the only taste-no Mediterranean spice or flavor or even salt, just bland chicken, bits of cucumber, a touch of tomato, and a lost bit of lettuce. Same with then other wrap. In fact, the problem was they only give enough sauce for half a wrap. It wasn't inedible, cooked and stuff, but it was plain chicken, no seasoning, what's Mediterranean about that? Trying to understand what made the wrap Mediterranean, could have been a skinny burrito for hypertensives because there was no seasonings in the meat or salt in or out of the wrap. Seemed like it was a vehicle for the sauce which was flavorful but insufficient, Eating partner usually finishes the fries but didn't because "didn't want to waste the calories" from a person who usually eats like a bird. We came here within the first 2 months they opened. Now it's $44 for two skinny tasteless wraps and fries? And 18% minimum tip for bringing our food to our table, the only way to get ordered food? No waiter service, no "how's your meal?" No bussing, no additional services to our table other than bringing food? Food isn't inedible, but why pay for blah food. I cant even find the words to describe how cruel it was for this business owner to kick out my pregnant friend, along with her dog for simply wanting to sit down OUTSIDE for a couple minutes to cool down & catch her breath. Especially since it wasn't even busy. She wasn't even taking up space or being in anyone's way. What happened to being a gentleman? Being compassionate? I'm all for supporting businesses EXCEPT if they lack simple compassion which costs nothing to give. If he can treat a pregnant woman like that, I'm just sure he will definitely do it again to other pregnant women or anyone in general. On top of that, to say her pregnancy is a LIE ?! Super small portion for each plate. My 4 falafels were dry as cardboard and hard. The chicken kebab and combo gyro plates didn't come with any hummus. Definitely will not be returning. read more

I was planning on cooking for an event but got sick. I've eaten here in the past so I know they're good for big groups and the food is good. I had about 20 women. Staff: the person greeted me w a smile and was very helpful and knowledgeable of their food items. Price: is reasonable for the amount of food you get Venue: they have outdoor seating which is nice when it's warm outside. The whole place seems clean, comfy and welcoming. Super friendly service, but the prices have definitely gone up since the last time I went. I think it was a few years ago when I got a mixed plate and while the chicken is ALWAYS solid I felt like the beef and other pieces were a little bit more dry this time around. Its definitely got fewer tables inside, so to-go is the best way, and the hummus is solid but I think they could definitely not go wrong with a little more salt in their other dips. read more

We come here a lot for lunch. The staff is always very sweet and kind and thoughtful, and the food is good. I especially like the salmon burger. Their shwarma is good too, as well as their hummus. Their baba ghanoush doesn't have sesame paste, which is kind of refreshing (and less caloric). Only complaint is the falafel is a little dry. It's nice that they have beer on tap and cans if you want it, as well as wine. read more

Went there for a quick late lunch on a very rainy day. Ordered Trio plate as an appetizer- $15, tea pot -$8.99 and chicken kabob plate with extra skewer to share (this was an expensive plate, $35 but worth for the party of 2). Food was so delicious. Surprisingly we really love their tea. I was told that they brew some loose tea, tea bag with some cloves. This was a treat on such a cold rainy day. Trio plate had hummus, tzatziki and babaganoush served with pita bread- 10/10. Tea pot was given with two cute glass cups, good for the party of 2-3 people. Kebab plate was served on a wooden board with mixed salad, rice and kebabs itself with one added skewer, pita bread and a small amount of sauce. The sauce was very little to be served with such a big plate so we asked extra tzatziki which they provided us. May be this should have came with hummus as I see in the pictures what people posted but it was missing on our plate. Overall, we were able to finish everything as it was so delicious. It might be a little pricey but the outdoor seating in the casual atmosphere makes this place my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. The pita bread doesn't taste dry and stale.
