Don't go. 1) They never called me re: my glasses being ready, and when I called the office they said the had to redo the Rx and would be ready in a few weeks 2) 3 weeks later and the progressive lenses were horrible/couldn't see, so decided to get one pair for distance and one pair for reading 3) waited another 3 weeks and the distance was ok, the reading was horrible 4) Waited another 3 weeks for them to redo the reading glasses, no call but when I called them they said they were ready 5) reading glasses were still horrible, I don't think they were even changed. After 4 months of this, I asked for my money back for the reading glasses as I had no confidence they would ever get it right. 6) 2 weeks later still waiting for my reimbursement check and I have no reading glasses. Very nice people but sorry to say, they're inept. read more

I have been going to Millbrook family eyecare for just two short years, and today's appointment will be my last. Last year, I had no issues. Everyone was kind and helpful. This year I was told that I will not receive my prescription unless I pay a 60 dollar fee. Or purchase my contacts through them. This goes against the "contact lenses rule". I've attached it to this review for others to see. It's nice that they offer you the option to purchase through them. However, every patient should be entitled to all parts of their health record. Including prescriptions as well as the freedom to choose where they want to make a purchase from. read more

First of all, this is one of the few doctors offices where I never feel rushed, and the exam always feels incredibly thorough. Dr Peryea always kindly shows me the photos of my eye, explaining both the anatomy and function, and what the issues may be. I love the selection of frames and the lovely people that help me pick out just the perfect look. I also happen to really love the Millbrook location. Easy to park, quaint little shops, and charming park right down the road. Love it there. read more

I highly recommend you do not go to Millbrook Family Eye Care. The staff are rude and not at all helpful. It was extremely difficult to get my prescription after I was told it would be emailed to me when I called to follow up I was called a liar and told that nobody ever said that. I finally had to send my husband to get my prescription for my appointment in the morning. this comes after waiting two months for my two new pair of glasses never received a phone call or any follow-up from them... read more

I'm not sure how anyone can give this office a bad review. Dr. Peryea is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. I work as a secretary in a hospital and work closely with a lot of doctors. My daughter has been seeing Dr. Perrier since she was four years old before he ever owned offices she is now 15. Because of her eye condition she has seen many many eye doctors including pediatric ophthalmologist in Slingerlands in Albany. Even though many people would think it would be better for her to continue to see an ophthalmologist rather than A optometrist that is not the case. He has been the only doctor ever that has had concern for her as a patient rather than concerned for what is in my wallet. She is kind of a sickly child so that also includes pediatricians and other specialists we have seen -We will follow him no matter where he goes. Under his care her condition has been managed better than any other. And as far as the office staff they have always been pleasant and done what they can to read more

Please don't go here if you already see an ophthalmologist. I wanted to get my eyeglass prescription checked. I was very clear that that was all I needed when I scheduled it. Nevertheless I was given a full eye exam and my medical insurance was billed $300. They didn't bill my vision insurance at all but charged me the vision copay anyway. I tried to object during the exam but neither the tech nor the optometrist could clearly explain why I was getting such an involved exam. When I called to question it the receptionist was rude. read more

Reception is horrible!!!! Very very rude woman that I have unfortunately had to deal with on numerous occasions. It is a shame to have a person like her working the front desk in a office where every other person including the doctors are very nice and personable people. God bless Dr. Krall, what a disgrace this business has become. I have been a patient since 1980 and no matter what the price I always returned as I always felt I was getting great service. In July I visited for an eye exam which was great! I ordered 2 pair of glasses placed 50% down and waited for a call that they were in. I was told maybe 3 weeks as there was a back log due to Covid. I called 3 times in the last 4 weeks and never got a return call. I called today and spoke with the receptionist and explained the situation and she apologized. I gave her my information and she put me on hold, a gentleman came back on and told me that one pair was in but the other pair had to be returned. I explained to him that I was no longer in the area and needed to have the glasses mailed to me and he said no problem let me get you back to the receptionist. The receptionist then told me oh no we can't mail the glasses to you, you have to pick them up. I will pay to FedEx. them if you can't mail them and she said no we can't do that either. I asked what are my options? You can have someone pick them up for you and have them send them to you. Are you kidding me! I hope you read this before you go, I never looked at other reviews and I can see now I am not the only one who is disgusted and will no longer be using Millbrook Family Eyecare! read more

I paid $610 for new lenses for my vintage Cartier rimless eyeglasses for which I had paid $1,300 in 2007. After only a few weeks of light use, unbeknownst to me, one of the nuts holding a lens came loose and the cap nut fell off and was lost. The cap nuts are fluted and match the nuts. I brought the glasses back to Millbrook Family Eyecare for repair. It is now more than three weeks later, and after two trips to their office, numerous calls to Ian not being returned, Ian claiming he didn't receive my emails, and nothing being done to obtain replacements, Ian now tells me that "the Doc doesn't think it's his responsibility" when I showed him possible replacements on eBay for $29.99 (which I had shown him on the first visit three weeks ago). I didn't buy them myself because I couldn't tell if they would fit, but Ian was clueless. Now I am going to have to sue Millbrook Family Eyecare in small claims court for the original cost of the glasses plus the cost of the new lenses. Plus now I have to wear old prescriptions that I can't see with. read more

The WORST experience I have ever had in eye care. I have been wearing glasses for 25 years and I have never had an issue where I had to return a pair of glasses to get my vision correct! Each time I'm basically told it's my fault, "wear them and get used to them", "the frame must be too big for you and your not used to it" "you have a sensitivity to your vertical field (something along those lines) so on and so forth. The first time when I picked the frames I wasn't even fitted to mark where my line of vision was. The second time I was sitting and she was standing. They have forgotten to send my glasses to be fixed I have waited over a month (this happened twice). Have had no call in weeks, I called to see if they were in and was told yes. Then I go to pick them up and they asked if I had the frames for the lenses! THEY had the frames. They found them then told me they needed a while to get them put in and such. This was forth time there just to get one pair of glasses right. I came home without them as I was unable to wait for them to place the lenses. Hopefully when I pick them up this will be the last time. I will not go back. Sadly when I left I ran into a friend at the pharmacy who told me a similar story! So I'm happy to know it's not just me.
