This is a review of both the Sales ( which I visited on 9/12/20) and the Service Departments, which I visited almost 3 weeks later. On 9/12/20 I traded in my 2015 Camry ( which I got from a different Toyota dealership) because despite the fact that it had less than 24K miles the alternator ( therefore the battery) failed. I went to this dealership to see their inventory and what offers , etc were available. I was greeted by a very friendly , patient and knowledgeable young salesperson name Dante who asked me what I was looking for, patiently showed me several different vehicles and explained the features and differences, and allowed me to test drive one that met my requirements while he retrieved another car for my consideration from another lot; I wasn't impressed with the handling of the first car and had already decided that I wouldn't purchase a car if the dealership didn't have another car that met my requirements ( including color) available. To my surprise when I arrived back at the dealership after my first test drive Dante had retrieved another car for me to test drive , and as soon as he showed me the features ( especially the safety and added features) I was sold. The price was what I had researched online for this vehicle and features so there was no " haggling" or stress, and the Finance Manager, Alysa was also knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I drove away that evening in my new car . This is regarding the Service Department. I was very upset when I attempted to start my new car less than 3 weeks later to find that my battery was dead, although the car barely had 400 miles on it, so I called Toyota Care's Roadside Assistance and a a mechanic came and boosted the battery- it turned over immediately which led me to believe that it was only the battery, however there was no reason for the battery to have been dead ( the car is so " smart" that the dashboard tells you if you left your lights on). I called the Service Department and requested a battery service and was given an appointment for the next day; the person who scheduled my appointment was sympathetic, professional and courteous. The man who met me at the Service Department the next day was initially dismissive of my concerns- telling me that the battery died because " its been cold outside"- which was ridiculous and insulting because the battery died in late September/ early October and it's not cold out, besides, this is a new car with presumably a new battery that is still under warranty, and because my family and I have had different Toyota models since 1992 and our cars have started without issue throughout the bitterly cold New York winters ( seriously was he trying to say that every Toyota was going to need a jump start every day throughout the winter because " it's cold outside"????) IFurther, I had a 2006 Corolla that I traded in in 2013 that never needed a new battery or a jump start! This man told me that if I chose to keep my scheduled service appointment that I'd wait an hour and a half to two hours while my car was " taken downstairs and the battery was tested " just to be told that " the battery was fine"( obviously it's not fine because it needed to be jump started despite the fact that it has not been cold, no lights were left on and the car had only sat for a day without being driven) - I told him I'd wait. I did receive a courtesy text stating my car was being serviced and then a text when the work was completed ( in about an hour and a half) - and at that time the same man told me that there was indeed an issue with the battery - that the " DCM had needed to be updated " , that this was an issue that surprised them because it had only previously been seen in the RAV4 , and that all should be OK now. This isn't completely true because a simple online search of the NHTS site reveals that this has commonly been reported on the 2020 Camry. Of course that isn't the fault of the Sales or Service Department, but customers- and especially loyal longtime customers and women coming into the Service Department alone ( we are not all completely ignorant about cars) should not be dismissed or dissuaded from seeking the services we're entitled to. A car with issues- especially a new car that's less than a month old- is stressful enough- receiving service and being taken seriously shouldn't be stressful as well. I gave an overall rating of three stars- I'd give the Sales and Finance Departments 5 stars, but the Service Department no more than 2 stars. I will be closely monitoring the battery issue . read more

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, I went to Millennium Toyota with my 22 year old daughter as she wanted to purchase a vehicle. She test drove a vehicle which she fell in love with. Both of us were advised that in order to hold the car, until my daughter was able to secure insurance, she had to put down a $500.00 deposit. She was informed by Sam Taylor and Tulu that if she was not able to secure insurance the $500.00 would immediately be credited back to her credit card. Low and behold nothing could be further from the truth! Unfortunately, my daughter was not able to secure insurance. I immediately informed Sam Taylor and Tulu in a group text of same. Tulu tried to obtain insurance for my daughter through some of his insurance contacts. Shortly thereafter Tulu informed my daughter and myself that he was able to secure insurance, $750.00 down and $180.00 per month. I was beyond happy until Tulu advised the undersigned that my daughter had to bring cash to the dealership or Zelle the funds to him at which time I became suspicious. I informed Tulu that I never heard of such and he said, "the broker i'm going through does not accept credit card unfortunately." Since that was the only option for my daughter to secure insurance in her name, I decided to pass as Tulu also advised that we had to report the car as staying in Upstate New York. I wanted nothing to do with fraud and immediately asked Sam Taylor and Tulu to refund the $500.00 to my daughter's credit card. A few days went by and my daughter did not receive the credit in the sum of $500.00. I contacted Sam Taylor and Tulu in our group chat and Tulu said, "Alright we'll refund your funds." Since that time more than 10 days have passed and again I sent a message in the group chat inquiring about the refund due to my daughter in the sum of $500.00. Mr. Taylor responded and as follows, "Hello i'm off today but i'll look into your daughter's refund tomorrow for you and update you ASAP." I followed up again on Saturday, April 23, 2022, as to when will my daughter receive her refund of $500.00 and Mr. Taylor responded as follows, "Hello i'm sorry yesterday I had an abnormal day (very busy) but on Monday you will be my first priority and i'll look into your daughter's refund if she doesn't receive it by then. OK have a wonderful rest of your weekend take care." To say I am shocked is an understatement as my daughter to date has not received the credit of $500.00 back to her credit card. We were looking for a car for my daughter and had been to several dealers. I was a bit hesitant going to another millennium dealership since I had such a terrible experience with their Hyundai dealership but decided to give it a try. We saw an ad about the RAV4 le lease. I communicated with an associate via text and they did inform me that they did not have any more le in stock before my visit, but they said they did have other models with similar offerings. We were met by a salesman by the name of Marvin. My daughter was originally interested in the RAV4 based on the ad and what she had read on the internet. However she was not as fond of the RAV4 design in person as she had thought she would be. Marvin showed us the ch r, but she felt it was too small after test driving it. He also showed us the Highlander which was a very nice truck but a bit out of the price point for my daughter. Marvin did a wonderful job providing us with all the different options available and I did not feel pressured which was nice. Overall a positive experience and I would recommend your dealership to my friends and family who are interested in a Toyota. read more

Bait and switch over and over again. After agreeing to the price, salesman brings in a car with 300+ miles on the odometer. Tells me that they drove the car from another dealer in NJ, 50 miles away. The car must've driven there and back multiple times huh. Ain't no fool going to pay premium on a used car. Telling me that the car is ready for us, it's all broken into. What kind of excuse is that. Couple of days later, salesman tells me he has the perfect car at the price we wanted. Scheduled a day for us to come in to finalize everything. When we arrived we were immediately greeted and introduced to Ahmad/Carlos. He speaks fluent Spanish so they nicknamed him Carlos, but we called him Ahmad. He was very well informed on the vehicle and broke down the differences between the LE, LE Plus, and XLE. He never made us feel pressured and took the time to make sure we understood what we would be getting. He even took us on two separate test drives so one of us could stay with the baby. Ahmad worked with us to get a deal we felt comfortable with. The day we picked up the car was long because the car wasn't ready, but Ahmad made sure we were okay and even bought us lunch! Walked in and the front desk attendant said, she'll help you. An overeager woman, maskless, came up to me with a fake smile and phony attitude. She was cheesy, slimy. I could tell right away how awful she was, and she proved me right. She kept asking me my name while I was looking around for another salesperson. She clearly saw I was not paying attention and kept asking me my name in an irritated voice. Finally I said, I'm going to ask the front desk a question. I didn't want to waste time talking to her when I knew I didn't want to work with her. She said angrily, "I asked you your name three times and you still didn't answer me!" The reason I did not answer you is because I didn't want anything to do with you. As I walked to the front desk, she followed me and crossed her arms in front of her chest. I couldn't get away from her! It was awful. She was so creepy. And gross. The manager came up to me and I asked to speak with him in private (so I could ask for another salesperson). I bought my car from this dealership and the first time I brought it in for service it went smoothly and quickly. As time went on one time there was something wrong with the car wash so no wash. Service times grew longer and longer even just for an oil change. I brought my car there today at the appointed time for just an inspection and I had to wait for over 2.5 hours. I've been coming here for couple years now and I am currently leasing a Highlander where I was recommended to replace air filter. At my first impression, they told me the car 15,000 miles has been serviced but then they came up that I need to replace the air filter, which costed around $130. I thought it was too expensive for a dealership to do. It literally is taking out the glove box without ANY tools needed, to reach the air filter. Once removed, you can see the air filter where you swiftly take out the dirty one and replace a new one that doesn't even take a minute to get done. After I expressed my frustration toward the service advisor manager, Tony, that they are overcharging me and possibly to other customers who have no knowledge about the labor of replacing the filter, which doesn't cost $130, I felt cheated to their dishonesty. You can clearly see that the filter is only $23. The manager handled the situation professionally and he "courteously" took off $100. The receipt tells a different story where the total is $108.56 when it's originally supposed to be MORE than $130 after I exposed the manager of how air filters are replaced. Long story short, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON YOUR VEHICLE! ALWAYS READ THE OWNER'S MANUAL WHAT YOUR SERVICES REQUIRE. MAKE SURE THE ADVISORS' FOLLOW THE EXPECTATIONS OF WHEN YOUR VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE SERVICED! I personally will not visit here anymore. I was nearly scammed over "labor" and "services". Now normally after they finish servicing your vehicle, a nice gesture they would do is to wash your car before you go about your day, but they didn't. Not only that, my inspection sticker was expired and they suggested me they'd remove it, and I agreed. But they didn't. On several occasions (via phone and email) Millennium Toyota reached out to me advising that my 2018 Toyota Corolla was eligible their Lease Upgrade Program. On 7/26/21 Khaled Salam called me and explain that if I brought my car into the dealership I would be eligible to trade in my car with little to no money down. I agreed to come in for a appointment to further discuss on 9/5/21. When my God Mother and I walked into Millennium Toyota on 9/5/21 11am I was immediately greeted by Mark Campbell. He was eager to assist. I was interested in test driving the latest 2022 RAV4 I took the car out for a short drive. When I returned my god mother and I spoke with Marc about the cost of the RAV4. Marc explained that my lease car not for the RAV4 would be around $600. I told Marc that was out of my price range. He then suggested considering the 2022 Camry , however the car was also out of my budget. I explained to Marc that I was not willing to pay more then $350 a month for a car note as I am preparing to purchase a home and wanted to allocate my funds to other needs. Marc then left to run the numbers on the 2022 Corella explaining that that the car would likely be more in my price range. When Marc returned he explained that my note would be about $340 a month if I traded in my current car. I would need to put down approximately $3000. I accepted the offer and Marc started the process of clothing out the sale. In order to close out the sale Marc advised my God mother and I must go finished paper work with Justin Goon, Financial Services Manager. Justin quickly went over tire protection explaining that I could replace both the tires and hub cap with I needed. He said that the cost would roll into my payments. I agreed and also asked him if he could add Gap insurance. He added the gap insurance and I then gave him my credit card to pay the balance of $2927.58. He printed I bunch of documents for my records, place them in a folder, thanked me for my business and handed the folder to me . I then left Justin's office begin to clean out my 2018 Toyota, transferring my belongings from to my new 2022 Toyota. As I was doing so Justin ran out advising he forgot to have me sign all of the paperwork. I went back in his office and he quickly has me sign dozens of papers. Then I left. On Thursday 9/9/21 I was preparing to pay my bills as I do every Thursday biweekly. I logged into my Toyota financial online account to pay my car note and discovered my old car was still linked to my account. I reviewed the paperwork Justin gave me and noticed that none of the documents had my monthly payment amount listed on them. The folder included the following: Registration and Title fee Arbitration Agreement Trade Certification We Owe form (with no monies filled out on it) Bill of sale (with car price of $28,140.16 listed) New Vehicle Delivery Checklist Possession of vehicle before financing "What does Millennium Toyota "Dealership" do with your personal information" form Transaction Receipt in the amount of $2927.58 I then called financial services to inquiry how to update the car listed on my account. I was advised my old account is still in the process of being closed out. He then provided me with my new account number and explained I can use it to add the new car to my online account. I then inquired about how to remove the tire Protection as I decided I wasn't going to enroll into that program. The gentleman then transferred me to that department. Once I was transferred I spoke with a young lady and requested the tire protection be removed. He explained that the tire protection costs $1040.00 and if I removed the protection the money would be removed off what she called the back in. She's explained that it would not lower my monthly payments. I request that the tire protection be removed and then asked the representative to confirm my monthly car note amount. She processed my removal request and advised my note was $449.00 per month . I explained that the amount was more then what I was told at the dealership. She recommended calling the dealer as she could not alter my balance owed. I hung up the phone and called Mark Campbell, the salesperson that handled my transaction. Marc said "Didn't Justin go over the money with you on Sunday" I explain Justin did not. Marc referred me to call Justin. I then attempted to call Justin but received his voicemail. I left a message and also decided to send him a email. Justin replied to my email explaining that he was out of the office but would call me back 12pm on Friday 9/10/21. On Friday 12pm came and went and I hadn't heard from Justin. I attempted to call Justin numerous times with no answer. At this point, my God Mother was concerned and asked me if I would like her to go to the dealership to advised Justin to call me back. Long story my car note is $100 more then what I was advised. I cant recommend Millenium any longer. This recent terrible customer service experience wiped out any prior positive experiences. I had come to expect a "customer is always right" philosophy at Millenium. In fact, I noticed a sign thanking customers when I was there on Monday. I brought my car in on Monday and was told all was fine. The service rep assured me my tires were fine, no more "maintenance needed" lights would appear and if the tire pressure light went on, to ignore it because it would be caused by the temperature drop, not the tires. Clearly it wasn't, because I got a flat right away and the maintenance light is still on. When I requested a free tire replacement I was asked if it was possibly my fault--blaming me. Then, I was told I could pay discounted" rate of $125 No. If customer service is truly important, then Millenium would have graciously replaced the faulty at no cost. The company could have looked at the situation as one where, hey, who cares who is to blame, let's just fix it and keep the customer happy. What could their cost have been,$ 50, maybe? Then, I would happily tell everyone about Millenium's great customer service. Instead, I'll tell this story. read more

This is for the service department. The commission-based "service advisors" are ruining Toyota's reputation, and Millennium Toyota is the most dishonest dealership (stealership?) that I have encountered. Never again. I brought my 2012 Prius C in for the routine maintenance at 65k. I specifically stated what work I wanted completed: top off the inverter fluid and the battery coolant, since they were low when last I checked. That's where Keith McKenna decided that my car was woefully late for its 30k and 60k services (which WERE DONE, albeit at a different dealer) and I needed $1400 worth of work. First, it's amazing the ability the dealership has to diagnose my car without actually looking at the machine, and rather consulting with an expensive list of "dealer recommended" repairs. These included: radiator coolant ($169) inverter service ($160) hybrid motor ($249.95), fuel injection ($160), throttle body ($80), transmission ($199). And that was not including "labor", which is about $100 per hour, and they were quoting 4 hours...4.5 if I wanted the car washed too. Note how vague these "services" are, so it is more difficult to get a second opinion at another shop. I would allege that it is intentionally vague in order to deceive the consumer. Note to Millennium: I can READ THE CAR MANUAL and I am prompt with the required maintenance and keep great records of what has been done for my car. My car is not throwing off dash codes or acting strangely, so why suggest all this maintenance? COMMISSION BASED SERVICE REPS! That's why. Seeing that he wasn't going to listen to what I was asking for, I rejected his plan and took it to another, independent shop. Total cost of recommended maintenance there? 85 dollars total. Not $1400. They even told me when to expect some of those services listed above to be actually needed on my vehicle by actually inspecting my vehicle. Amazing. If you have to take it to a dealer's service center, Westbury Toyota is the next, least objectionable location, or take it to Plandome Service Center, the most honest guys in the business. They listened to what I was asking and gave me an honest assessment, which was the absolute opposite of what Millennium Toyota provides for its patrons. read more

We leased a new 2021 Odyssey from Millennium, and from the first moment it has been a headache and series of run arounds that have cost us additional time and money. They sold us multiple extras (remote start, tow hitch, roof rack) that they have STILL, months later, been unable to deliver on. They do not return phone calls to their paying customers, my husband has spent countless hours waiting on meetings that don't happen and for promised fixes that never come through. As I write this they still haven't completed a "fix" that they promised yesterday, and we have been without our car (and even better they had no loaners to provide). Truly a nightmare-- we figured most car sales places are a pain and therefore all the same-- couldn't have been more wrong! RUN, don't walk, away from this place. read more

Saw the exact car I wanted on their website, confirmed it was available. Test drive went fine. Had a "Buy today Price" listed online but then the manager tried to tel me this price was not available. He said the lowest offer he would accept was 3k over THEIR OWN BUY IT TODAY PRICE. When asked about the price difference, as this same price was listed for multiple of the same model he replied "oh well, that's just to get people in here." Here is #1of my 2 part review. This one is about the dealings with the finance officer Gary Lavino. This man is nothing more then a thief and a con man. I sat in his office to take care of the paper work in purchasing a RAV4: Gary lovino explained what the warranty covered and not covered. He said that the loan company wanted to see more coverage. I said to him oh you are trying to sell me an extra warranty, then told him I don't want it. He tried to make me believe that in order to get a loan I needed an extended warranty. When I said no again Gary lovino closed the door and started grilling me about the warranty. He actually put is finger to his mouth and shushed me and told me I'm not listening to him. He lied again and told me that if I don't use it in six years I would get my money back. I said NO again and told him that I fix my own cars. Gary lovino kept on going on and on about the warranty like he was trying to hypnotize me into buying it. I told him once more you say warranty that I will walk out - I walked out in a storm and let the whole store know I did. They will scam you stay far far away. Just like Gary Lovino , Jeff Z is the king pin of this money making scam called millennium Toyota. Where do I start? I've purchased 2 vehicles from Millennium Toyota and had the pleasure of doing it twice with Nateshia Wallace. Both times, she treated me like family. She couldn't have been more helpful, reassured me off my concerns and then some. Her patience and professionalism is outstanding! After I decided to finally trade in my 2010 Rav 4 and treat myself to a 2018 Rav 4 with her help, she set me up for the financing with Sam Taylor. The transaction couldn't have gone smoother. I'm sure I didn't make it easy, with my second thoughts, but they both kept me laughing to put my mind at ease during the process. Very Bad Sales tactics, they took a deposit on a Vehicle from my friend and then came back to him and told him that they promised the vehicle to someone else. They don't value your time and once they get your deposit they refuse to give it back. Never let them hold anything of yours, not your drivers license, not the keys to your trade, not the registration, and never give them a deposit to hold the car. These are unscrupulous and dishonest sales tactics.Always used a credit Union, true-car buying, AAA car buying, or Costco auto buying. read more

Very rude and a complete runaround he never addressed my concern, never even wanted to address my concern, but he did waist my time and going for help to the main manager did nothing for me, so I give up on ever going back to this dealership, its just not getting the rude and unprofessional lip service, from both managers and staff...... that manager of the mechanics needs to go, to allow customers better service, that they deserve and if the general manager isn't able to oversee the entire operation of all the departments, then he is not any better than the manager of the mechanics that created this mess for me, I will never be there anymore read more

I have worked for one the top auto bank lenders in the US as an account manager for dealerships. By Far this has been one of the worst experiences with a dealer providing false information and leading with deception! I inquired about a 2019 Toyota Camry "Certified Pre-owned" vehicle for a family friend at Millennium Toyota which was confirmed that it was in stock by three reps (Dayana, Angie, and Lisa) on 2/28/2023 and 3/1/2023. I ask the dealer about their extended home delivery service that they advertise on Auto-trader and CarGurus, which is a service that promote that dealerships participate in the sell and delivery of vehicles nationwide (but only on a select inventory). While conducting a nationwide search Autotrader and CarGurus have a filter to make sure that you only view such inventory. During my phone conversation with Dayana she stated "we can deliver" I stated I wanted to have it delivered, as the individual purchasing just moved from NY to Illinois. Once finding out it will be sold to an Illinois resident she stated "we can't do out of state sells." I indicated that the site states you can and would like to speak to a manager in which I was connected to Peter the sales manager. He picks up the phone after being debriefed by Dayana and to avoid me altogether he tells me that "the car was sold." My concern is that this is not a trust worthy dealer that will lie only for their benefit. Through my research, if a vehicle has a false CPO warranty it will not hold up at any other manufacturer or corporate dealership. So I believe if I was to purchase this vehicle and take it to Toyota of Oak brook or even NJ for that matter, it will not be recognized as CPO and therefore ineligible for service. Please beware if you are going to shop with them as my experience is a leading culture of deception, and that's critical when it comes to on going service and warranties. read more

This is for their service department. I will never go back. I brought my Camry for a regular service and they didn't even service it. It was a routine service, oil and tire rotation. Once i got in my car I looked at my tire map and I saw that each tire's pressure wasn't changed. They never rotated the tires. I brought the car back and they had nerve to tell me that the guages in the car need time to reset which was absolute bullshit. I was so aggravated I drove off. After I got home I checked the oil to see if they even changed it and they didn't even do that, however they had no problem handing the bill over to me. You guys SUCK!!!! read more

To start off, someone in another review that said this place hates women was completely right. MC (our sales associate) was the most disrespectful sales associate I've ever had to deal with. My SIGNIFICANT OTHER and I went to look for a new and put a deposit down with MC for a car that was supposed to come 3-17 or 3-18 the latest. That didn't happen, even though he was very certain the car would be on the lot on the dates above. My partner called the dealership and someone (no one could tell us who) gave him MC's wrong personal phone number. He called the dealership back in a few days and they told him that MC wasn't working. So I called because it was started to be very obvious that they didn't want to refund the deposit that he said was refundable if the car doesn't come in time. On our call he was insistent on speaking to my partner as if he hadn't ignored him previously, so I put my partner on. When my partner told him the same thing I did, he wanted to dismiss me from the conversation because maybe my partners answer would change. He laughed in my face when I reiterated that he knew we wanted a refund from the beginning if our pretenses weren't met, after calling me a little friend to my partner. We needed the car by the dates above, because my partner had to travel back to college. Anyway MC is the WORST sales person I've felt with. Once he got your deposit, he and the person who's in charge of leases at this place try to run your credit report and put together your lease payments so you have no option even if the car doesn't come by when you need it. No stars. Terrible customer service If you like sitting around for hours with no one acknowledging you, definitely visit Toyota. They are over staffed with people who do nothing but stand around without masks on, and understaffed with the people who can actually sell a car. Overall, a bad experience. read more

This place is a complete waste of space and a disgrace to the Toyota name. My girlfriend and I went there in July to purchase a used volvo s40 they had on their lot. The dirty, cursing, ignorant sales man didnt know left from right (and was fired a month after we were there.) We had multiple problems during the purchasing process because of the insurance agency being closed, and the bank being closed. They did work with us very well through that. But the rest of the service is nothing to brag about, we put down a 500$ down payment after battling with the sales man over the price and eventually getting it down. They used the same strategy as described in the other review by keeping us chained down and not giving my ID back after asking for it multiple times. After putting down the down payment, we returned a few days later with the a check made out to the full price. Yes not smart on our part but it was a mistake because this whole process was so stressful. The dealership took 3 MONTHS to return the money to us and finally sent a check made out to 400$ after going there 4 times and calling almost every day. Luckily i made friends with one of the managers behind the front desk, yes thats how long I was stuck in this black hole. And he actually helped me out, probably because he realized that place is a disgrace to human existance. read more

It was a horrible experience in Millenium Toyota for me and my differently able son.This dealer has no regards for even differently abled.Gone for trade in with my 4WD sienna which is being used by my differently abled son, the sales person Varghese Mathew cheated us by giving a 2015 front wheel drive sienna at 72 month tenure instead of 60 month tenure.Unprofessional, no ethical business practices,no regards for differently abled & blood sucking monsters are managing this dealership. Bought a certified used sienna. The dealership can move a little slow at times however you can easily look past it when you interact with the staff. They are very friendly and my salesperson, Nateshia Wallace, was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken cared of. I recommend using her as your salesperson. I've bought 5 cars before and although the last toyota dealership in Amityville had a Keurig (which I loved) the salesman I had was very pushy. Millennium gave me Nateshia and with her came patience and kindness. I hate pushy salesmen. My husband and I have 7 kids so we need people with patience. So far I love the van and my first vehicle check is complimentary with a free car wash that I desperately need. Did I mention the insurance guy there gave my kids toy dinosaurs. read more
