I came in this place because my car battery kept dying. I practically had to force the guy to take my money! Super nice, super honest! The battery I had was still under warranty (bought it at a Ford dealership in North Hollywood when we were in SoCal on vacay) but I needed the receipt to get it replaced at the dealership. He made several suggestions like "maybe if you call the dealership with your VIN they can look it up and fax a copy to me and then you can take it down to the dealership. I hate to see you spend money if you dont have to." I mean, who is like this these days? Going to great lengths to do the right thing. Refreshing. I wish more people and businesses were like this!!! Ultimately, I could not find the receipt and it was mandatory, so I bought a battery from him. I also re-joined AAA because he is the local AAA tow company. In fact, he asked me over the phone if I was a AAA member because if I was, he could come and install the battery at my house. Saving me a trip down there on a rainy day. We just moved to Coastside and now I know we have someone to bring our cars to for repair we can trust. Definitely recommend. Keep your spending power and money local!! I might have saved a few $ by buying it at Costco (probably less than $10) but it is important to patronize LOCAL businesses. Hate the traffic. Hire local! Want more jobs that you dont have to commute to? Shop local! Keep those dollars on THIS side of the hills. Dont trip on my soap box on the way out ;) read more

The name does not match what's on the card or when you google it. It says Miller O'brien services Miller O'brien services in Pacifica CA. They do not have a license number on their card, but the clerk Brent provided me two different license numbers #00378 & #00376. I got my car towed to them for me needing to pay some tickets I have now paid them all in full. I called them on on 03/23 to ask what exactly was owed in order to get the car out Brent asked what car is it I told him the bmw he said the  6 series I said yes I told him it came in on the 13th he quoted me 1323.00 I asked him again I said it's $1323.00 for the 6 series bmw is that correct he said yes I said ok thank you. I called back and spoke with a lady who was completely rude and asked her how long the cost of $1323.00 would be since I was unable to get there due to helping my ill mother then she said someone would call back. Brent called and left a voicemail saying it would be close to 3000.00 on 3/23. When I called this morning to verify information and tell them that's not what I was quoted they now are saying the cost is 4000.00. It's confusing as they have confused me why they have two different business names on the better business bureau site. We have dealt with this company twice. In both cases they have been most professional and honest. They also know what they are doing and make that extra effort that many companies would not make.I the first case,my wife's car failed to start at work. AAA did a jump start and we got the car home. Miller and O'Brien came out to tow the car to Stewart Chevrolet for repairs. The driver checked the car and found that the battery was dead. He sold us a new battery at a competitive price and saved us a lot of money. In the second case a red light came on in my car. It appeared to me that the battery was going out. The driver came out and diagnosed the problem as an alternator goring out. He told me that I was running solely on battery power an would not make it to the dealer. He towed the car to Stewart Chevrolet. Sure enough the alternator and starter had gone out. read more

Acted like I was trying to sell them something and all I said was, "was curious to know if you had a website?". I recently had the pleasure of meeting a company, the aforementioned tow company, and I must say I'm surprised there are no other reviews for these guys. I'm in the auto repair business, myself, though nothing in the 'tow' arena. I can say, without a doubt, these guys are A+. Their attention to a towing 'malfunction' that happened to a car they brought my repair facility was rapid and more than satisfactory. If only there were more Miller and O'brien's in this area. My car broke down, one of their tow trucks was there in less than a 1/2 hour. I was stressed because I thought I was going to have to take my BMW in to the dealer to have it fixed, which is always expensive. To my surprise, the owner told me that they also do repairs. They fixed the coolant tank and hoses for a great price and had it back super fast. I saved a lot of money not taking it to the dealership. I will definitely be going back there again and recommending them to friends and family. read more

I have been bringing my car here to get worked on for several years now. The owner Jeff is always really nice and so are his mechanics. They are honest and have good prices compared to some of the other dealerships or garages I have taken my car to in the past. They have done everything from replacing door handles to changing the brakes. I've never had any problems afterwards. Also love the convenience of them being in town, it's great! I've taken a LONG break from FB and a lot of other things when I realized that I still hadn't written the review that I meant to write complementing Miller O' Brien for what they did for me. It was about a year ago. The story goes like this... My Toyota Matrix simply would not pass the smog test. I paid for tests at different places and was getting desperate. I went to a big corporate chain repair place and they started talking about potential prices that I might have to pay. I hardly drink, but at that point I wanted to drink shots. Anyway, I looked up Miller O'Brien. When I got there I met the boss and explained my situation. He went out and came back shortly. He told me that all I needed to do drive the car for a considerable time. He suggested a trip to San Jose and back. I already had my Visa out to pay him. These guys provided me excellence service. The tow was needed to get near my home when my car failed. I was given the price over the phone and my insurance covered the entire cost. It was a very long night and by 11 pm I was still stuck on the road after trying to start my engine, and they were the only shop open in surrounding cities. These are the only mechanics I trust, and they do excellent work! I do most repairs myself for my two vehicles, but if it's ever something I cannot handle, I can call them to tow (yes, they have a towing service as well) the car to the shop and have something fixed. Had to get my Chevy Trailblazer towed 3 times in almost 2 weeks for a problem that couldn't be figured out where we used to take it. I wouldn't have gone back if it weren't for the issue being under warranty by the first place. After MUCH frustration, Brent, the tow truck driver (who is AWESOME!!!) said he talked to Jeff at Miller and O'Brien, and that Jeff thought he knew what the problem was. We had never heard of Miller and O'Brien prior to this. We brought our Chevy to them and sure enough, Jeff fixed it!!!! If it weren't for this place, we'd have sold that car, along with our truck, and would probably be driving a totally different car. I'm SO GLAD I discovered Miller and O'Brien!!!! They made me so happy, I brought them cupcakes! And will be bringing every vehicle I own to them FROM NOW ON. As well as more cupcakes here and there, just because they ROCK. Oh also, the last time I called for a tow, Brent was actually on his way to another call, but came to me first since he knew I was sitting in my broken down car on the side of the road with my baby. Congrats Miller & o'Brien you have officially motivated me to write my first ever review. It took them 1hr 35min+ to realize that they cannot provide a service. My insurance agent thought that--she was doing me a favor and getting me super service, but I got the worst service ever. First off, they are extremely rude over the phone. They speak super improper, and aren't cognizant about anything. You would think that me being less than 4 miles away from their yard, that they would know where i was and get there soon. They finally canceled their services, after they took so much time, knowing that they do not have enough personal to do the work. They obviously need a crash course on how to be efficient, understand customer relationships, and how to communicate. They sound like complete high school drop outs, that cant even comprehend anything, why or how are they still in business is beyond me. My insurance company noted how terrible they are, and hopefully they will communicate this with the management so that they terminate the contracts with this so called "company". Do yourself a favor, and pass when you hear this name, you will be better off waiting for another company, because at least there will be someone actually coming to help you. read more
