By far, the best place on Long Island to watch a game. The wait is never as long as expected, or at least never feels as though it is. Secondly, It is incredibly priced. I have gone here for at least 30 games, and each time me and my companion order 6 drinks, 2 apps, and 2 main courses, and it seems like every time the bill barely cracks $50. Now, if the food was poor, it would all be a moot point; however, the food is pretty darn good, especially the the zingers. Such a terrible experience, especially when visiting for the first time. We waited 20 minutes to get seated, completely normal and understandable. However after we got inside, we waited about 40 minutes without having a waitress or waiter come and check on us. Meanwhile, there was plenty of wait staff for the outside seating. My mom had to go out to the hostess to ask if someone was going to come, and it was our hostess who was shocked we had not even been offered water and brought us some. This is my first yelp review. After just leaving here I had to leave one. Arrived at midnight, they close at 3:00AM tonight. When we arrived we showed ID then went into the separate bar area. We sat down in an open section for a good 15 minutes. I would say there was a total of 30 people in the entire section, rather empty than usual. Nobody approached us, we saw about 4 staff members walk right by us for all of those 15 minutes. The bar was very sticky as well. After waiting those good 15 minutes I asked a busboy who our waiter was so that we could put in an order. He said, I will find out. He came back and said they are coming. 10 MINUTES LATER of the same 4 staff members walking past us without even saying hello we left and walked to the main bar. Again, this bar was sticky and full of food crumbs. I told them about what happened at the other bar and they apologized. Again, they asked for our ID (why does the guy at the door ask if they will ask again at the bar?). I asked to have our bar area cleaned because it was sticky, the bar tender only cleaned mine and left my friend's area sticky and full of food crumbs. The entire time we were there, the bar tender was preparing to close, 3 HOURS before closing time. We sat there after finishing our beer with our money on the table with the check for about 20 minutes. Again I had to ask a busboy for us to be checked out as the bartender was busy closing. Went back to place and tell the girl the whole story mgr comes out starts telling me the guy that answered the phone is a special needs person. I told him he had nothing to do with any of this. All the staff does is stand around bullshitting instead of taking customers. My son said he doesn't go there anymore because they're a train wreck and they don't care and he was a waiter when he was younger. I like this Millers location better simply for the fire pit outside. It's really nice and cozy but if you're not a smoker I can't really see it being of any use too anyone. The last time I was there (last week), the margarita pitchers were simply sugar. Literally had no alcohol. If I wasn't over the night I would've sent them back to the bar. The chicken fingers were absolutely horrible. Should've sent those back too. My meal (chicken with some sides) wasn't bad but nothing to rave about. This location has been the most consistent of the Miller's I've been to. l My family and I always have a good meal here and haven't had any real big negative experiences. Last night we went for the Lobster special (which really is an amazing deal) and some Zingers with some fried shrimp for my daughter. There was a bit of a wait and the food wasn't piping hot...but they made up for it with apologies and dessert on the house which was very nice of them. The menu seems to have, what sounds like great items but upon delivery, I was not impressed. Appetizer: Fried Mozzarella Sticks -- generic mozzarella sticks. Not bad, the usual fare of most other restaurants. Entrees: My sister ordered the Zinger with teriyaki sauce in a salad. The Zingers are strips of battered and fried chicken and your glaze of choice is added. The teriyaki glaze was meh. Lacked in teriyaki flavor. The greens for the salad looked a tad wilted but not enough to send it back. Just didn't seem as fresh as it should have been. Otherwise, the salad looked appetizing. It was the chicken strips that lacked flavor. I ordered the Fish n Chips. Sam Adams Beer Battered Fish with Fries. Right away I knew my fries were over cooked but when I bit into them, they were warm, not hot. It seemed as though they came from another order or were the last remnants of the last order that was sitting in the fryer. The ratio of fish and "chips" were off. There were about 7 to 8 big strips of fish, which some may appreciate but very little fries. The strips of fish were greasy, as if the oil was not heated enough when they fried the fish so the batter was a bit soggy. The fish also lacked flavor. I might have just enjoyed some fish picked up in the frozen section of my supermarket. I couldn't finish my meal because each bite was greasier than the one before. The waitress was polite and attentive. Overall, the experience was mediocre. It seems more like a place where a whole bunch of frat boys would enjoy drinking beers and watching games. This place is a joke. We came with a very large group on a Friday night. Our waitress was the most inattentive, arrogant waiter ever. We had a large group so I tried to reason with the fact that she was busy. But the bar cleared out & tables were empty about a half hour in so they definitely would have been able to take care of us. It was an 18 person table with $142 check. Easily could have been much more if she cared. She stood by the bar & talked & we watched our drinks melt & sit on the bar for 15 minutes. Would not return. The party that she had to tend to had about 15 children who ran, yelled, grabbed chairs, chased each other like they were in a chuck E Cheese. Having two children of our own, we also try to ensure that our children do not effect anyone else's experience but these parents did not care at all. Finally we had enough and decided to go to a manager. The manager came to us and made sure we had everything we needed and spoke to the parents, which helped for all of twenty seconds. We ate as fast as could and left in a hurry. Upon paying the bill we were offered free dessert but didn't want to be there one more minute. Dinner tonight was really phenomenal! The place was very busy but we were still seated right away. The waiter came right over and took our drink order and asked us if we would like any appetizers. The spinach dip was amazing. It was really creamy and tasty and even the ships serves with the dip were warm. My grandpa had the mahi mahi special which he said was really outstanding alone with his side dishes, one of which included the great rice. I ordered the filer mignon which was cooked just as I ordered it. It was very tender and full of flavor. I can't even begin to say how amazing the corn and peppers side was. Definitely one of the best side dishes I've ever had! The service was incredible and the waitress was really sweet! The food came out quick and was an amazing deal. I highly recommend eating here! The prices are also very reasonable. Great place to come for a dinner for two or with a bunch of friends! Place is always packed and it's very enjoyable having the televisions to watch as well! My wife and I stop in here every few weeks, and I always enjoy the experience. My only complaint is that the bar is often too crowded to get a seat, especially on Sundays during football season, but I suppose that's what happens when a place is popular. I'm surprised at the negative reviews here- I don't come to Miller's expecting gourmet fare- I'm looking for decent food at good prices, and that's what you get. I went here over the weekend with some friends not really expecting much from a sports bar/restaurant. I was so surprised by the food and above all, the service. Our waitress, Lindsay, was so nice and really took care of me and my friends. She went out of her way all the time and made sure my friend with allergies was taken care of too. Having been here many times the one thing you notice about Millers is that while you get inexpensive beer/drinks, you get mediocre quality food at best. The service is generally good but the food is generally a step below any other casual dining chain. The quality control in the kitchen is definitely a problem as they consistently send out luke warm or room temperature entrees. This is especially true of the french fries and sweet potato fries. Often they have to be sent back. Grilled zingers have come out burnt and black, completely dried out. Buffalo wings are good at times but other times so overloaded with grease the sauce wont even stick to them. Nachos have recently come out with so little chicken we had to look for it on the plate. Chips were stale and other toppings minimal. This was a dish that we were amazed came out of the kitchen. Baby back ribs on Mondays special have been actually pretty good but you have to order BBQ sauce on the side as they have very little sauce on them. Mashed potatoes are decent, any vegetable is not and are to be avoided. Ask a server or bartender about beer specials and you will get different answers. It seems nobody is trained to know what is on special each day of the week. Best bet is to check out the menu for accurate info because you wont get it from staff. Millers is a great place to go for a few beers/drinks but you have to temper expectations with the food. It reminds me of going to White Castle after a night of drinking. Great stuff when your starving after a night of drinking but when you go sober youre wondering why the hell youre eating there. read more

I had dinner hear last night and the overall experience was blah. I went with my family and after about 10 minutes of being there I spilled my drink by mistake (obviously). When our waiter came over to the table shortly after he was annoyed and did not really care that it was dripping off the side of the table. We all used the napkins we had and it was not enough, we asked for more and our waiter went to the back to get more napkins for us and did not return. Due to this a member of my family ran to the bar quick so that we could clean the mess and get ready for our appetizers and dinner. While walking back my family member did overhear our waiter saying "They spilled already! And they have kids so it's guna be a long night I don't even wanna go back". Keep in mind the water was dripping off of the table and he did not care. If that wasn't enough the food that all came out was okay. Nothing to write home or even want to make us come back and have again. The dinners were all brought out and not very hot. Delicious food, moderately priced!!! My boyfriend and I love to eat at Miller's Ale House but it wasn't always convenient to go to Smithtown, which was the nearest one. We were very excited when we learned that one was opening at Commack. Since the grand opening we have been there twice. Once for dinner and once for lunch. I recently went to this location. As soon as I entered I should have went with my first interaction with the hostess complaining and not knowing who walked in first. My party sat down and was greeted by Aleena who had no clue of earth. There were no beer options available and the menus were is pieces that you had to grab yourself and put together to view and order. I ordered water and soda and waited and waited and waited while watching Aleena walk around in circles. I ordered food which the order was wrong. I am assuming utensils are extra upon request. I waited and waited and finally utensils and then a water arrived. Every patron stared at each other in disgust.
