We visit Miller's often, but this is the first time at this location. The service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. However, the food was terrible. The two dishes we ordered - zingers mountain melt and Tex Mex nachos - came out cold. The nachos were basically chips and a couple of pieces of chicken sprinkled around. The Zingers mountain melt was far worse. The "zingers" were the size of nuggets, there was barely any cheese or bacon and the fries were ice cold. We had to send both back. We used to love this place, but the place has definitely gone down hill and after a disastrous couple of outings I don't think we will be going back. Food: Typical bar food, burgers, wings, nachos, etc... Unfortunately they decided to discontinue their "Fiesta Nachos" (which were excellent and what most people consider nachos) in place of some sort of chicken and cheese sauce abomination. Burgers while nothing special are generally cooked properly (which isn't the case at some places). Service: This has really gone down hill as it feels like the wait staff we have had recently don't even understand the menu. Last time we were there I asked what the soup of the day was and was told it was Chili (which is on the menu all the time), while we eating our entrees the our waiter came back and informed us that he was mistaken and that there was a soup as well (which at that point was too late). I asked about a drink special and that was printed on a card at the table and the waiter didn't seem to believe me that such a special existed until we produced the card. Came to hang out with some friends and grab some drinks. The bartender John was great. He recommended us some great beers for us! He let my friend sample a beer before pouring it to make sure they liked it. We had a great conversation with him about sports! We will definitely be back to see him. I am a fan of the Miller's chain in general and I really haven't had a bad experience at any of their places and the new Commack location is no exception. Friendly help, cheap prices and generally tasty, if totally unhealthy food sum up the place and it is always pretty packed out- your best bet is a saturday or sunday afternoon to avoid the mayhem. Date of visit: April 16 or 17, 2015 Met a friend and stopped in here for lunch as it was close by and I know of peeps who had come here with friends to catch a sporting event. As it was my first time here I had to try their World Famous Zingers. Was not at all impressed. For lunch I went with the Blackened Chicken Key Lime salad and my friend went with the Apple Walnut salad with added avacado. Salads were ok - nothing spectular or out of the ordinary. Packed Saturday. Staff was running all over the place. The food took long, the French onion soup was cold and when we asked for another one they mentioned they ran out. I don't blame them it was a crazy Saturday. Food took longer than usual but the prime burger was so tasty. It came out cold but the manager came over and he re-heated it (upon my request I did not want a new one) then he came over and offered us a gift card and free dessert for the trouble. I've been to this location about 5 times and I always sit at the bar. I always receive amazing service even when they are very busy! I was just there at 11pm not too crowded. I visited during snow storm on March 21. Not many places open and I had been here before during the week. I am from out of town so I spend a lot of time eating out! Doesn't make me an expert on food but I recognize breakdowns in management when I see them. I ordered their 35 fried shrimp meal. Their menu lists this as a signature item. Boy was I counting on succulent mouthwatering perfectly fried shrimp. Can't stop popping them, right? Meal came and my shrimp were fried so dark I hardly recognized them as shrimp. So I was going to complain but I am starving at this point so I proceeded to eat them. Tasted like oil had been changed in weeks. And to my dismay, my server who wore a shirt titled coach never asked how my meal was. Super starving at this point so I tolerate the overly cooked signature item. Then I dipped into my loaded baked potato. Not exaggerating when I say this potato had been warming all night long. It was so dry it would been stay on a fork. Completely broke apart into little tiny pieces! Wasn't enough sour cream to make this go down! I sat at end of the bar and watched all the employees in motion. That's when I saw the servers in action. I watched as the cooks places a bag of veggies on the plate and the servers cut them open and emptied bagged contents on the plate and arranged them with a spoon. Shouldn't all the food be plated in the kitchen to contain any sort of cross contamination? In summary I didn't give them a 1 star because I have had good experiences here! I had awesome shrimp tacos and great bar service by someone named Max! Every cloud has silver linings or so they say so proceed with caution. I was a pizza restaurant manager for 7 years while I went to college. Worst service ever. Been coming to Millers Ale House for years and the service at this location (Commack) is absolutely horrible. Went on football Sunday, (with our family) at 1 in the afternoon. Waited over an hour for our first beer, no water brought, just sat at an empty tables with our menus. Followed up with our waitress twice on it, finally she told us "the bartender probably threw out your ticket since it's so busy today." Okay.. strange response. She brought us the two beers a few minutes later. Waited 1.5 hours for our two year old's kids meal of Mac and cheese (which I'm pretty sure is just good old fashioned Kraft Mac and cheese from the box) again followed up with our waitress twice - now begging for the kids meal to be brought out, even if our food (2 hours later) were still not ready - she came back a while later saying "the food is done, it's sitting under the heating lamp - but you're not the next ticket so I can't grab it yet." Seriously?! Even if that were true, you don't tell the customer that!! Brought the kids meal, went back for the adults and my husband was given the wrong sandwich. She wrote it down wrong. No "I'm sorry about that" "oh, I misheard you" nothing, just took the sandwich back, and left my husband there to wait another half hour. Escalated to a manager and nothing improved. She made a joke with us about people having 'no common sense' and left to check on it. No compensation, no follow ups, literally nothing. Never heard from, or saw her again our entire time there. Finally all of our food arrived: we had no napkins, still never received any water cups, ketchup bottle was empty, and our son's cheeseburger was comparable to a hockey puck. It was pathetic. We didn't even send it back, we paid for it and ordered another meal for him instead. There are no bus boys or anyone to clear away your dirty plates, they just sit there until you leave. The waitress even stacked empty beer glasses together to make room to place our food down, and left the stacked glasses right there on the table. As a former server: we were patient, polite, and empathetic to the fact that they were obviously not prepared for football Sunday crowd, and that the backed up kitchen/slow food was not in our waitress' control or fault. But communication, respect and basic human decency is! There was only so much patience available in a party with 3 kids under 5yo. The food is good, and it's one of the few places to go watch football with a family on the weekend but for the love of god, just care a little! We were there and ready to spend good money.. multiple appetizers, alcohol, entrees, and desserts were all planned out to be ordered for us, our friends, and all of our kids - but we cut the meal short due to the time, lack of respect, and overall disregard by the staff - we just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. We came here on Sunday while visiting friends on Long Island. We got the Zingers Mountain Melt but I was surprised at the portion. I thought it was on the small side for using the word Mountain. However their zingers were really good. I was in the mood for wings in general but the sauce list all sounded amazing. Our waitress brought over a sample of the honey lime Sriracha and it was absolutely amazing. I ended up getting the chicken nachos because we had the mountain melt. Everything was concentrated in the middle and wasn't spread around enough which was disappointing because it was essentially just eating chips. They have a lot of TVs so you can watch any football team play which is an added benefit. Service was good and their beer list is extensive and amazing which is a plus. They close at 11 and technically aren't operating as a Bar. Hostess was rude and had to check with a bartender -????? You're not a bar during Covid. I am in millers currently, I received a turkey burger all lope sided not cooked with fries that seem to be left overs from another plate, not appealing at all. We asked for them to bring one out we'll cooked to our table again. It took them another 20 minutes despite the waiter that took forever to greet us at our table after we sat down(he seem to have a lot tables he was waited on) granted he was really sweet and accommodating. They brought the turkey burger out again it looked like the same one they brought out the first time just with hot fries. We sent it right back to them, someone can get sick with undercooked poultry. This girl who seemed to be the manager brought it to us, 2x I don't even know how she would let that leave the kitchen looking the way it did. Do not order Turkey Burgers at millers it looks unhealthy for your own eyes. On a brighter note, I also ordered the Cobb salad with chicken and shrimp it was really good. The zingers are awesome! I was curious about this place because the parking lot is always packed on the weekends. Needed a random place to go after picking up laundry in the neighborhood. Went there for an early dinner this evening (4:30 pm) and there were a lot of families there with kids. The place is huge with Tvs everywhere. Was cool to watch the Belmont stakes and Mets game and women's golf and soccer etc. While I ate. The wooden booth was a little uncomfortable at 1st to sit on. Beer selection was plentiful and i tried a summer ale and liked it. The food is what you would expect from a chain like this....its slightly better than TGIFRIDAYS and the Applebees of the world. Mozzarella sticks were crispy and there were plenty. I got 10 wings and a side of fries to eat and left full. The check was reasonable for the 2 beers and food for 2. So that was a plus. This visit was better. I enjoyed the fish tacos ,they were decent for this type of restaurant. The fish was grilled which I like and not covered in breadcrumbs and fried. The kids enjoyed their meals, and all the adults were happy with their meals as well. The zingers were really good especially with the Sweet Thai chili sauce. It was my nieces bday so she was served a complimentary dessert which was delicious!! I would go to Millers just for this! Capt'n Jack's Buried Treasure! It's a homemade ice cream cake with Oreo cookie crust, caramel, chocolate fudge, and Heath bar crunch....yes!!!! The wait staff is rude, the bouncers are VIOLENT A large group of us decided to try out the new place, hoping that this would be better than the various other failed restaurants in that location. Do yourself a favor, avoid this restaurant. The waitress was terribly rude and acted as though she was doing us a favor by serving us. The manger instructed a bouncer to cut off our friend, who happened to be completely sober. He came over and slammed her drink out of her Hand. Moments later another bouncer dragged a seated young woman and her boyfriend out of the bar without warning. Apparently this was for pushing someone which he somehow managed while seated. It was directed at the management of Miller's for 1- poor employee training and 2- poor managerial supervision. David, I've been in the restaurant business for probably longer than you've been alive. Just as you would not let a customer bring in a coke, or beer, or CUP OF COFFEE from the outside to drink at your establishment. You wouldnt let your properly trained and supervised employees do the same. If she wanted a cup of joe, then drink the house brew in a company cup. No big deal. As to your other concerns: I dont live alone, I've been happily married for 25 years. Though i guess that doesn't guarantee that i wont die alone. Im really not miserable, in fact most find me a little charming and humorous. I do have better things to do, but if i didnt point this out, how are your bartending friends ever going to get better? Contrary to popular belief, a sports bar can have decent food with healthy options too. My friend suggested we come here for dinner on Saturday night and I immediately thought I was going to have to scan the menu for something I was able to modify to suit my needs. Turns out they have a lighter fare option, AWESOME. I'll back up a bit. I had never been to Millers before, but I have been to every restaurant in this location before Millers and it's never lasted very long. I think this place will be the exception. There is plenty of parking but was very busy around 5:30 at night. There were no booths available, only high top tables and the high top tables were large, seating 6 or more people, so we felt a bit awkward sitting at a table that large. The hosts were friendly, seating us quickly and letting us know the soup of the day which ended up not being the correct soup, but it didn't matter much to us. We were greeted by a server shortly after who was bubbly and attentive. The atmosphere here is very casual; so casual and laid back that a server walked past our table loudly complaining to the host about "triple seating her section." Sports bar or not, conversation like that shouldn't be overheard by guests and as a server myself, who doesn't love being triple sat? That's neither here nor there. They have lunch and dinner specials every night along with a craft beer special. The prices are very reasonable, cost to add additional chicken or steak on a salad in the $4 range. The menu states calorie information which is either a love or hate thing, I personally love it. I think the interior is pretty great, very large bar, lots of seating but ample open space to stand around the bar, beautiful wooden floors and wooden booths. It was a very comfortable feel. I thought they were going to have a bigger beer selection, and their wine list was pretty bad. Their offerings by the glass are not good. I guess I can't expect great wine at a Sports bar though so I can't fault them too much for that. My friend got chicken nachos and the portion was humungous, enough for five people, great appetizer option. She was only able to eat about 1/4. I went with an option off the lighter fare menu and was happy with the dish. Grilled chicken, steamed red skin potatoes and the vegetable of the day. I asked about the vegetable and it was corn. I hate corn so I asked if I could swap for something else and she suggested broccoli, perfect. Our server made sure to let me know she wasn't going to charge me extra for broccoli, which didn't need to be said, also didn't think there should have been an upcharge either way. The food came out very quickly. Three very thin, but tasty grilled chicken breasts, six or seven potatoes and steamed broccoli, everything was great, super healthy, not a drop of salt or butter, exactly what I had hoped for. The server brought me some salsa on the side and when she came by to offer me a box and saw the salsa was empty, she put a full extra one in the box for me, very nice. Last night my waiter Sam stole my debit card. Watch your surroundings, a group of friends and I split the check and I didn't get my card back so I told him and he got very defensive very fast. I explained maybe it just fell out and he said no it is in the checkbook. Obviously it's not because I wouldn't be freaking out tell them it's gone. My friends, some workers, and all the customers at the tables that were around us searched the entire restaurant for the card. The waiter didn't take the time to even look. We couldn't find anything, I got the manager involved and asked if she could check the cameras, she said there are many blind spots so she didn't see anything. The search went on for about 45 minutes and nothing was found. Came here for the first time to watch game 7 of NBA Finals. There aren't many bars in Commack to watch sporting events, so I tried it out. I was impressed with the size of the place and amount of staff they had. Outdoor bar with huge windows was a nice touch, granted it was only a view of the parkway. "It's huge!!" That was the first thing that came to mind as my daughter and I were led to our table. The second thing that came to mind was "It's loud," as we walked past a table with a couple of kids that clearly wanted to go home. By the time the check came, none of that mattered. We had a good meal, got to watch some hockey, and had a great conversation. We shared a combo appetizer which has a little of everything you'd expect: fried mozzarella, spinach dip, potato skins, and onion rings, which were all very tasty. I had a loaded Philly cheesesteak sandwich with mozzarella cheese (not a fan of American cheese) and my daughter had a salad. We both liked what we ordered, and might have had room for dessert if we weren't completely stuffed. I have been to Millers a bunch of times. The commack location is wonderful because of the large parking lot. Millers is a big sports bar with a lot of tables. They have tons of TVs all over and a full size bar. Their booths can fit big parties and they have high tables for smaller groups. My absolute favorite is their Zinger Mountain Melt. It is chicken finger zingers dipped in your sauce choice over a bed of loaded fries with ranch. I never can finish the platter and always need to bring it home! I absolutely love it. Their buffalo shrimp is good, and also their brownie sundae is yummy. Millers also does great drink specials. They have margarita and sangria pitchers for groups to share which is very yummy. My only complaint is the hostess'. Everytime I have entered there has always been 3-4 girls standing together, and they always say "you can just sit here," and point to the table. Both times they have sat me in the table closest to the door which is huge huge booth that is not comfortable for only two people. read more

We always enjoyed Miller's in Deer Park, so we tried the one in Commack. NEVER AGAIN. I ordered a Sam Adams Summer Ale (on tap). It was horrible. (And I have had the beer many times and enjoyed it. Maybe their taps are dirty, but it was an awful beer.) So I ordered a Miller Genuine Draft (bottle) because I didn't trust their taps. They were out of it, so I ended up with a Diet Pepsi. Strike one. I ordered the wings, with ranch dressing. I got one ranch, one blue cheese. Strike two. My wife ordered a burger, medium rare. It was medium well, except the middle which was rare.
