My to/go lady was this beautiful young lady named Nya. She was very welcoming and talkative. She made the experience that much more enjoyable with her wit and banter. She reminds me of this african american woman I used to date in the 80's, absolute sweetheart. 8/9/25 we came here as a sports bar to see the opening game for the jaguars. That may not have been a "touch down" evening but the food was...I was very pleased with my Mimi bowl salad (?) which had grilled shrimp and chicken. Admittedly I searched the menu for a something that I felt I could eat and not feel I over did it in calories! It was very tasty and plenty of it! Hubby loved his French onion soup and his huge burger w/ onion rings! Vanessa quesadillas with sides looked great too. I had a re-visit, after several years, to Miller's Ale House in Mandarin. It's still very fine. I was treating my oldest granddaughter and her significant other to dinner because they were kind enough to visit me from out-of-state. We had a very nice server, Dale, who helped me find food that didn't have anything onion in it. We started with the delicious artichoke-spinach dip appetizer. Then, I had my heart set on something with lobster but out of three lobster dishes (lobster roll, lobster ravioli, and lobster carbonara) only the last was onion-free. No matter--it was quite tasty. I had to give the shrimp in it away, but totally enjoyed the lobster claw meat in the dish!! Very nice bacony sauce, too. (Sorry--I think it was a limited edition and that may have been the last night.). My granddaughter got a huge salad and her boyfriend got chicken tenderloins, the Zinger Mountain Melt, with a couple of different sauces. It's a huge sports venue with lots of TVs, so a bit noisy but definitely a partying atmosphere. We were too full for dessert but I know they have good ones! A very nice night out! read more

Arrived before the rush but there were 4 guys at the bar area that obviously had been there a while already as swear words were already flying and they were not quiet about it. After about 15 min. of listening to obscenities, we asked our server to see if the manager could intervene and she did. The 4 men left after about 10 min and the atmosphere returned to a more normal level. It is a sports bar, so it can get loud, especially on game days. Food is good - have enjoyed fish and chips, oso-buco, and prime rib are very good. We go about month a month - prefer the location in San Jose Blvd or in Tinseltown area...we've not had a good experience at the Phillips Hwy/Southside Blvd. location with poor service, and snd long wait for food to be served after ordering. read more

Frustrating! I do the carnivore diet. I paid for a ribeye. Instead of paying for sides I am not going to eat, i asked to have a couple eggs. The manager said that they would be glad to give me the eggs, but they would have to charge me extra, which is ludicrous! I also spent money on wings so it's not like I was twisting their arm ultimately, the eggs aren't going to break me. It's just a matter of even texas roadhouse has no problem substituting. At this point, it feels like the only reason to go to Miller's ale House is for the nostalgia. The food is OK, the service is meh, and the ambience is the same as it's been for the last 20+ years. Went tonight with a friend from out of town and had raved about the fish and chips because the last time I was there which was probably five years ago they were pretty damn good. I also mentioned to her that it's always crowded so I wasn't sure we would be able to get a table at seven it was empty, that should've been my first clue that this isn't the alehouse I remembered. When we were seated the waitress pumped by on her way to the kitchen to let her know she would be right with us. It looked like she had four other tables one had already on the check and the other ones might have been seated right before us ordered a salad and the salmon and asked for the salad to come out first. I ordered the fish and chips. The meals came, no salad we asked for it, and it was delivered, but it was a tiny little salad. My fish was soggy the fries/chips were crispy, but not hot...at some point I asked for more tartar sauce and never got it. it wasn't a great experience and I wouldn't come back again unless somebody I was with really wanted to. read more

We came in on a Thursday around 4 pm. About 10 people sitting at the bar.rs. Service was sloooow. Had one beer, bartender was hanging out down all the way at the end of the bar. Had our food order not come out, not sure I would have seen her again. Ordered two beers to go with food. Never came back to see if we wanted anything else. Flagged her down to get check and pay. Finally came up to our end after finishing discussion at other end of bar. Beer was cold, food was so so. Service was slow, since bartender basically hung out and talked at other end of bar. This place has gone down a lot. My husband and I wanted some wings and some nachos. The first set of zingers they sent out were so small and hard. Burger kings were much better so that should tell you. The nachos looked like they were crushed up you had to use your fork to eat them. They made more zingers and fries they also came out bad. Minus 5 stars. Stoped in after my grandson's graduation. Party of 7. Not busy at all! After an hour French fries came out. After another half hour two plates came out. Fish sandwich and Mimi bowl. ICE COLD . We asked for our waitress and got very rude responses, she came over like couldn't be bothered. Told manager we wanted leave and pay for our beverages and what was delivered. I'd think twice about eating at this location again. I kid you not, walked in behind a 2 people. There was 3 in my party, the hostess sat the party of 2 immediately, and then tells us we have to wait 5-10 minutes because it was too busy. I counted 10 booths open. Then to add insult to injury after waiting 10 minutes, a couple walks in with their kid and the hostess tells them it'll be a few minutes, walks away and comes back and seats them and then turns to me and says we can seat you now. I like the very diverse menu, great choice with reasonable prices. The service was friendly. We wait a little bit longer than I would call normal. The food was delicious. We are regular and very loyal customers & we always request our favorite waitress Breigh, because she is truly awesome!. Today, which was Veterans Day, we went to Miller's for lunch in Mandarin. It wasn't busy when we arrived at 11:30 a.m. Our favorite waitress wasn't working today, so we had another girl. She was very nice and did her best, but the service was very slow. We ordered a Patty Melt (medium) and a Cheeseburger (medium-rare). It took 30 mins to get our food and both were cooked "well done" with no pink at all in the meat. I sent my cheeseburger back and asked for it to be cooked as I ordered "medium rare". It took another 20-25 minutes to get the second cheeseburger and it was very undercooked (nearly raw). In addition to not cooking the burger correctly, the flavor of the ground beef was awful. I have ordered cheeseburgers from this Miller's Ale House for the last 2 years or so & they were always delicious. I'm not sure what type of meat they are using now, but it's not the "high quality " meat I always got in the past. I ended up throwing the cheeseburger out it was so bad. We came here after Graffiti Junctions hours disappointed and we were seated quickly, I was famished and I wanted fried shrimp and chili cheese fries.. My life at the moment! My date ordered the baby back ribs, he said they were good and I have to disagree. They had a weird after taste that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Restaurants like this never measure up to my standards so I have to start judging them as so. The shrimp was just alright at best, (the Regency location had better) they never put an adequate amount of chili for the amount of fries and the servers are average. 01.14.2020 Due to an appointment for Madeline in the San Jose Blvd area. we ended up having lunch at Millers Ale House. To me nothing spectacular just another place to grab some food if your hungry. Maddy does like the pork special, picture was taken. Last time we were there I had with out doubt the worst steak dinner ever. I would never ever order a steak there again. So today it was a plate of fried shrimp, mashed potato with gravy and another side. Actually pretty good but as I said nothing special The saving grace was the really good service but could that be because there were just two other couples there at the time we were there. The resturant was very clean and orderly, being a sports bar and no games it was kinda quiet all the T.V.s sound turned down. So it was pleasant. Although it was a bit cool in the restaurant so we kept our jackets on. Had the occasion to visit the men's room. The black bean and rice fajita plate I have to say was very good. Could've used some more garlic but overall I had a very good flavor. My friends had the turkey burger and the Philly steak both of which they said they enjoyed. It was a nice size portion the desserts looked great but did not get it.
