We've been coming to Lillian's since we moved to Jacksonville 7 years ago. Today was the most disappointing ever. We ordered 10 wings. The waitress said we could toss it in two different flavors which we did. However, when the bill came it didn't match the menu. We asked our waitress who then got the manager. She said we were charged extra for two different sauces - o where on the menu does it say that. Our waitress Hyatt and the kitchen manager, Charisma were great. Stopped in for the 1st time coming back up from Bike Week. What a GREAT little find. Busch Light on tap! Fresh fried pork rinds with lots of seasoning options. We chose ranch & they were DELICIOUS. I will be back for the beer & pork rinds. Southwestern egg rolls were very good. The wings were ok. Not great, but they do have a 5pc on the menu. The service was really good. The place was super clean and the vibes were easy & good. We will definitely stop in anytime we are going through Jax. 10/10 recommend if you want great bar food with your cold beer. read more

This afternoon, I took a client out for lunch. He ordered a burger with no bun, cooked medium, and a salad. I had the steak quesadilla. My food was fantastic, but I wish I could say the same for my client. His salad arrived 10 minutes after his hamburger, which was overcooked and gray throughout. We had to ask three times for silverware, and the last time I ended up getting up and almost walking into the kitchen. When the waitress finally brought the silverware, she sarcastically said, "Thank you for your patience," before tossing it onto the table--minus one knife. I also noticed that we had no napkins, so I decided to find those on my own. The waitress's attitude quickly deteriorated as our meal progressed. I asked to speak to the owner, but instead, I was directed to the bartender. Abby handled my complaint with empathy and said to ask for her next time. Been coming here for every Jaguars game all season and never had an issue--until today. We arrived early expecting a full house and found several open tables, but many seats were marked "reserved" with pieces of paper. There's no mention anywhere online or in the restaurant about reservations, yet staff suddenly claimed they take them. We were a party of two and specifically asked not to take a large table. We were denied a table that could have easily been adjusted. Another table was supposedly occupied by two children, but the kids were nowhere to be seen. Requests to move the table or have the kids sit with their parents were flatly refused. Despite multiple empty seats, we were told there was nothing available. It felt like seating was being held for staff or friends rather than paying customers. Had the place actually been full, I would have understood--but it wasn't. After being regulars all season, we had no choice but to leave and miss the game entirely. Very disappointing experience. My family and I have been coming to Lillian's since I was a little kid and ever since the change in ownership it has been extremely disappointing. Today takes the cake. I ordered online and picked up food for the first time since they offered more than just calling in and it was pretty unfortunate to navigate. Despite the burgers in my order being overcooked, the fries cold and the buns being burnt. My main issue was that the Salmon I ordered said it came with two sides, only one side was actually there despite the fact that the ticket listed the second side and of course I didn't notice until I was home. The bread that came on the side was rock solid and burnt. The salmon itself was completely RAW on the inside, so disappointing!!! Ever since the change in ownership things truly have not been the same, overpriced and smaller portions, the service has been pretty unsatisfactory except for Abby who works at the bar, and the specials they claim to have are suddenly gone? Ordered the NE Clam Chowder, sample plate for appetizers and a chicken quesadilla. The Chowder and the Quesadilla were very good. The Chowder was good. The sampler was hit and miss. The egg rolls were not so good. The mozzarella sticks were good but the panko was an overwhelming coating. The Buffalo wings were very good (may be a contender for best wings in Jax). I really like this little place, all from the decor to the service as well as the food. I always have a hard time finding a good meatloaf but this place has a delicious one. It wasn't topped with the usual tomato type sauce rather with a gravy, it was excellent. I got the mashed potatoes and collard greens, the greens were not that good though. I used to love coming here since it is right around the corner from my house. We brought a large group for bingo and dinner. When we were ready to pay we asked for the bill to be split in half for the 10 guests. During all the cleaning of the table and paying when I got home I realized there were all kinds of items on our bill we did not order. There were several kids menu items and drinks we did not order. Lillian's was one of our favorites for years, they have always done well with their Sysco menu. However, we've noticed a steady decline in every aspect over the past couple of months. Tonight our entire table's order was incorrect, jumbled, and vastly disappointing. Everyone's order was wrong and the drinks seemed watered down. I ordered a patty melt, expecting their usual patty melt with onions and Swiss cheese, it was literally just meat and bread. Maybe BOH needs to lay off the dab pen?? Sad to see this place going downhill. For 20 years or more we had our family nights there always had 10-15 people. We would go at least 2 times a week. When the owners sold out. We tried to support the new management but the food portions have gotten progressively smaller and it's very hit or miss. Food comes out cold. I ordered Florida gal last time I was in there and they were something totally different. There are usually one of the owners in there but they don't come out and mingle with the customers and get feedback. Service is slow seems like all they care about is people at the bar. We have tried them at least 4 or 5 times since they took over and it's worse every time. To be honest I've only eaten inside maybe twice and rest have been pick up deliveries because it's near our house. I've mostly gotten the wings there; great flavors, HUGE wings, never dry. I've gotten extra extra crispy, and they are perfect. The blue cheese dressing is to die for. (If you're obsessed with blue cheese like me!) I've gotten the beef tips before and it was great! Stick with their bar food. We've ordered corn nuggets and halftime potatoes in the past as a snack. We decided to order some dinner a couple of nights ago and were really disappointed. The sirloin was somehow raw on one half and over cooked on the other half as well as being mostly cartilage. The collard greens had banana peppers in it and to top things off two of the items ordered (grilled shrimp and sautéed mushrooms) were not even in our bag. The mini burgers were good, but cold. The decor/ambience is that of a local sports bar (and I heard they have phenomenal wings here) although I went with the Cuban sandwich instead I wasn't disappointed. Tonight we waited 40 min for drinks and appetizers and then appetizers were not cooked appropriately/undercooked and drinks watered down... even a draft beer was a challenge! We planned to leave after 40 min then as we got up to leave our drinks arrived and we gave them a second chance only to be further disappointed w entrees that were not hot and fries that were cold and limp. I've been coming here for close to two decades at this point and it has certainly evolved from when we started coming here back in 2001 I think. The food has developed into a very decent selection, I tried the fried artichokes and they were divine. We also tried the comforters in a while I suspect they came from Sysco they were good. Good enough to get a second round. So we came in on a Saturday night to catch some live music. Much to my surprise, the parking lot was entirely full and we snagged literally the last spot. The place has a expanded back room which is actually bigger than the front half and the entire place was full. The front half appeared to be about half drinking and half dining, the back was more drinking and a little bit of dining. There were some kids running around as well. I thought it was interesting, it was like a replay of a scene from the movie, there was a lady with the baby up dancing in front of the band... welcome to the south. The drinks were pretty good although you seem to always have to tell people twice that you want a lemon and not align with your vodka soda. When they finally figured it out they brought me a whole dish of lemons. Sarcasm? Maybe, but that's OK because I got what I wanted. We had several servers in and out and while the food service was somewhat slow at the beginning it picked up a bit as the night went on and the eating crowd dwindled down. The band was great playing mostly 80s rock type music that most of the people in their knew the words to. My son ordered us a door dash order from here the other day. I got a Cuban with peanuts. He got a burger with peanuts. My spouse got the 12 fried shrimp dinner. There were only 6 shrimp when it arrived and they were hard and inedible. I ate half of my peanuts. My spouse went to get some of my son's that he had thankfully not eaten and discovered they were molded. Below is a picture. I sent the restaurant a message with no response.
