No offer of drinks. Bit of a wait longer to place order. Order came without onion rings I'd ordered. She forgot to add them. She never checked to see if food was ok or make sure our drinks were refilled, which is a huge pet peeve. I got the onion rings after we were finished with meal and they are outrageously spicy. There is no mention of spicy batter on menu so it was very disappointing to have inedible side. Not to mention that my drink was empty which added to the misery. I did tell her when she finally came to table that I was disappointed in the service with lack of checking on us at all after food was delivered and she apologized and said she had double seating and also agreed that the onion rings do have quite a kick and that should be mentioned on menu. Ty Lee wasn't just hosting. He was seating people, bussing tables, taking orders, serving food, and somehow keeping the entire outside section running by himself. When we got here, the outside section was empty, but the restaurant inside was packed. Within minutes of us being seated, every outside table filled up, and I watched Ty handle all of them without missing a beat while still taking care of people coming through the front door. I don't have that kind of patience. Hell, I would've quit halfway through my shift. Through all of it, Ty stayed friendly, never looked annoyed, never rushed us, and never made anyone feel like they were a burden. That's rare. People are quick to complain when service is slow, but sometimes it's because one person is carrying the weight of an entire restaurant. If that's what's happening here, management needs to recognize what they've got. Ty deserves every compliment he gets, and if anyone has earned a raise, it's him. I tip well. Really well. Ty earned every dollar of it, and then some. If you get him as your server, take care of him. He's taking care of damn near everybody else.
