My boyfriend was looking for some Irish soda bread. This was recommended by someone on the community FB page, so we decided to check it out. The location is pretty easy to find, but you need to find street parking. It's a decent sized place with many pastry and cake options (definitely coming back for a cake!). We got: - Irish soda bread (they can slice it for you if you want): everyone makes this different, and I really enjoy this version. It's made with white flour and raisins, and has this hint of sweet vanilla / milk taste (reminds me of my childhood pastries). - rainbow cookies: whoa - these are triple deckers! What i love is that there is a chocolate shell coating on the top AND the bottom of the cookie. - mini cannoli in a vanilla shell (chocolate shell is also an option): the cream is a little too thick for me. - Sfogliatella pastry: nice and light and crunchy.

Custom decorated turkey cookies for a large NYC Thanksgiving event

I'm a boutique caterer and I needed 200 Thanksgiving turkey cookies that were specific to one of my most important NYC clients. The challenging part was that I gave them just one week notice and the cookies were ready ahead of time -great customer service for sure. Millers delivered beyond my expectations and Mira, the lovely lady that took my order, is the reason why I proceeded. She assured me she would personally oversee the operation and individually wrap the cookies herself-the design was perfect AND skillfully executed by Emily, their in house decorator. The individual wrapping was just what I was looking for, and really impressed me as well. Thank you Millers and MIRA -your beautiful cookies and stellar service saved the day!

Friendly service. Large selection of items. Mama loves their Irish soda bread. Wish they had it all year around!

Been coming here since I was a child and has been a family staple for decades. Their crumb cake is phenomenal and is worth the travel! We even tried their focaccia this year and it was delicious. I know they have tons of other options that I will defintely give a try next time I'm in town!

Warning! Black mold on strawberry short cake! Had a bad horrible reaction to the cake and after checking thoroughly, I see black mold on the strawberries. How is this business still open? When someone truly gets sick, will they care about what they are doing? Is it not enough to see mold on the cake? It appears as if they are trying to save the cakes as long as possible and not baking fresh ones. And obviously not throwing away the rotten ones. Most disgusting experience ever.

Went to a formal dance event and absolutely loved the dessert catering by Millers Bakery! Between the warm, soft chocolate chip cookies, decadent chocolate-filled brownies, delicious cream puffs, beautiful assorted tarts, and epic sugar cookies, I can't choose a favorite (wish I took more dessert pics, but I was too busy enjoying them!) If you're in NJ and need custom cake(s) and/or catered assorted desserts, would recommend checking out Millers Bakery!

We figured while we were grabbing the gift card we just had to try a cookie too. When we arrived, there's a couple steps you go down to get into the store. We went in about 10am on a Saturday, and there was about two people ahead of us. We were helped within minutes, and I ordered the Two Chip Chocolate Chip Cookie, while my partner got the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie. I believe each cookie ran a little more than $5/cookie. We threw the cookies in my backpack, got lost going to Trader Joes, and then went back to the hotel (a 40 minute journey) and to our surprise - the cookies were still warm even though it was raining outside! My partner and I demolished those cookies within seconds. They were warm, slightly crispy on the edges, so many chocolate chips inside and chewy in the middle. If I could describe the perfect cookie this would be it. I imagine this would be delightful with a cold glass of milk. I also noticed several people at JFK with Levain bags, so I'm guessing it's common to stock up and bring home. Now, I'm trying to convince my partner to go to the location in Beverly Hills when we're in the area.

Known for its legendary oversized cookies, this was another must-visit stop on our NYC food tour, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We picked up an assortment of their famous cookies along with a slice of their Banana Chocolate Chip Cake, and everything was fresh, rich, and incredibly satisfying. The cookies were exactly what they're known for--thick, gooey, and packed with flavor. Crispy on the outside with a soft, almost doughy center, each bite was loaded with chocolate and baked to perfection. They're huge enough to share, but once you take a bite, you'll probably want one all to yourself. The Banana Chocolate Chip Cake was equally impressive, incredibly moist with plenty of banana flavor and pockets of melted chocolate throughout, making it the perfect complement to the cookies. The bakery itself has a cozy neighborhood feel, with the smell of fresh-baked treats filling the space the moment you walk in. Despite the constant crowd and long line of visitors, service moved quickly and efficiently. Whether you're a cookie lover or simply checking off iconic NYC food spots, Levain Bakery is well worth the visit and easily one of the best dessert stops in Manhattan.

This is end of day food, or prior day's left-over food from stores and restaurants. The items were supposed to be a value of $15, but the items in the bag were not that value, nor were they in-house baked goods. They gave me 2 stale cut up baguettes, which they normally don't even sell, nor are they on their menu. According to the counter staff person, they order them from somewhere else so they can sell them on the weekends. (So they were baked Friday?) The counter staff person said her boss packed the TGTG bag and there was nothing she could do. I question these baguettes: which kitchen were they cooked in? Someone's home kitchen? I've never seen baguettes sold or baked in Reb's store, only desserts. In fact, this is what Barachou advertises: "Handcrafted choux à la crème, tarts, and viennoiseries -- all made fresh daily." Anyway, what I got were 2 stale baguettes which were cut in half so as to fit in the bag and one croissant (that's fine). The baguettes are inedible, and they can't be price verified because they are not even on their menu. If they're going to advertise on TGTG, then they need to honor the intent of the app, and provide the stated value of yesterday's leftover OR extra dessert items. This was bait and switch. Bait & switch means you advertise one deal (ie "$15 value") but replace it with a much cheaper deal. TGTG customers know they are getting day old or end of day items, valued as such. But they should not be shortchanged and given $5-$8 values that are advertised as $15 or $18. The bag should have had something like a cookie and 2 almond croissants or 3 specialized croissants. Even more disappointing as I have shopped here often especially when she was first starting out during the pandemic. Sorry Reb, but you lost me as a loyal customer. ***editing to respond to owner: I've never had a TGTG restaurant regift another restaurant's goods yet claim they are baked fresh in store. I've also never gotten baguettes that are already cut up for me. Do they do it that way in France? Also does Bread's bakery know that you probably buy their baguettes three for $5 special and then probably resell them at your store? Or do they deliver direct to you as one of their vendors? Just curious.

So fun fact they are now advertising Banana Pudding Hot Chocolate and it is NOT actual hot chocolate but banana pudding made to taste like hot chocolate. Why I got so confused? I don't know! Maybe I have been watching too many videos about Tyra Banks Hot Ice Cream. Either way I appreciate the guys patience and kindness when explaining it to me twice especially because I did not end up ordering that at all (though it sounds interesting) but I did get the regular actual hot chocolate and it was amazing! It tasted like melted marshmallows were in it! Perfect for a cold winter day. In addition we got to the humming bird cake, a cupcake, and the regular banana pudding. My husband had never been here before so you know we had to get the banana pudding, it's their claim to fame. And it is decent. Growing up in North Carolina banana pudding is taken very seriously and is literally at every gathering. Would this be a contender for the cookout? Sure! I have no complaints about. The other baked items were delicious as well. The store is cute unfortunately this location has no indoor seating but plenty of outdoor. It was like negative degrees when we went so we definitely did not sit outside. All and all it's a cute bakery/ sweets shop. There are many locations through out the city. Another employee, Kirk--an older gentleman who looked completely out of place--approached and coughed directly over the slice of cake that had just been cut for me. Yes. Over it. At that moment, I honestly wondered if it was intentional. A young woman nearby immediately caught my reaction and went to the back to replace the slice. She handled the situation professionally and deserves recognition. Unfortunately, the chaos continued. Kirk later made me a hot cocoa, and when I went to drink it, it spilled on me because the lid wasn't secured properly. At that point, I stopped believing in coincidences. And the cake? The German chocolate cake was terrible--dry AF and nothing like the Grand Central location. Not even remotely close. Between the coughing, the spill, and the subpar cake, this visit was uncomfortable, messy, and disappointing. Magnolia should seriously reconsider who they put on the floor and retrain accordingly--because this location is not living up to the brand. But honestly, I believe the 2 guys had to be the owners.
