The best cookies, cheeses cakes & banana pudding! Love this place so much that I can't see myself not going there every time I'm in the area!!

Tried the banana pudding and red velvet cheesecake, both of which were delicious, but very sweet. We were sharing both items between a few of us and it worked out perfectly, since I don't think I would've been able to eat either fully alone.

I came here for an afternoon sweet treat. I ordered the classic banana pudding, and it was delicious as expected. It was a nice day out and was able to find a table right outside Magnolia to enjoy my dessert. The shop itself is a little small but cute. Service was quick and easy too.

I recently tried Magnolia Bakery, and the highlight was definitely their Classic Banana Pudding. It was so yummy -- creamy, sweet, and perfectly balanced with those soft vanilla wafers. Totally lived up to the hype and left me wanting more! You can actually purchase the banana pudding kit to make at home (see pictures). I wish they had a location in the Bronx because I would definitely visit more often. The young lady that was working the front counter and the register at the same time was so warm and friendly. You can tell this is a popular neighborhood and tourist hot spot ! There was a line out the door. They definitely sell something for everyone's sweet tooth.

Dropped by Magnolia Bakery on a sunny May afternoon, which turned out to be a solid people-watching opportunity thanks to their outdoor seating. It's a prime spot if you like your dessert with a side of pedestrian theater. I tried their famous banana pudding -- the one people rave about like it's life-changing. And honestly? I get it. If you're into soft, borderline mushy textures (I am), this one hits the mark. Creamy, sweet but not cloying, with just enough sponge to pretend there's structure. That said, eating a heavy, dairy-forward dessert on a hot day? Maybe not my brightest idea. Felt like my internal temp rose a couple degrees by the end. I grabbed a lemonade to balance it out, but... it was kind of there. Cold, sure. Tart-ish. Not offensive, but not memorable either. Inside, the bakery gives modern country housewife energy -- think white trim, pastel accents, and the faint whiff of nostalgia. No indoor seating though, so the outdoor tables are really your only hangout option. Staff was sweet, like the banana pudding, just less creamy. All in all: cute, classic, and a decent NYC dessert stop -- just maybe don't banana pudding yourself on a 78° day.

If you're looking for good banana pudding, go here!! Mannnn I could eat their banana pudding daily!! Service was a little slow but nothing too crazy. The ambiance was nice! Overall I was satisfied!

This was a must stop while visiting New York. Just happened to be in the vicinity while in Central Park so we decided to stop. The line was out the door, took about 20 minutes to order but the staff were very friendly. There are a few seats/tables in the store, but easier to pickup and go. 10/10 Banana pudding - creamy, sweet, delicious. I recommend getting at least a medium size because you will finish it, quickly!! 9/10 Red Velvet cheesecake - soooo rich with the perfect texture. The flavor was spot on.

I popped in to check the treats out while waiting for friends. The vanilla cupcake caught my eye and I decided to give it a try. It was delicious and I ate the whole thing. The cupcake was fluffy and light and the icing was sweet. The store was also very cute and had outdoor seating.

Their cupcakes are great but I personally think their cake slices are even better! The cheesecake is good too but unfortunately the blondies aren't my favorite.

I've booked marked Magnolia Bakery and been waiting to try this place since the "cupcake hype" back in early 2000! Monday afternoon with zero line....and luckily found a table as a couple was leaving. Perhaps it's the Manhattan setting or the holiday season, but the store has an old-fashioned, nostalgic charm, like you are stepping into a classic candy shop. There are about 4 small tables but the intend is really order and take it home to enjoy. The interior décor is very simple with black and white tile, but once you step in there's dozens of cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. I really came in for the banana pudding. While Oct/Nov was pumpkin pudding, the Dec/Jan special is chocolate banana pudding. We got one of each flavor and I personally voted for the chocolate version. The dessert is perfectly sweetened with right amount of pudding and bread crumbles. The cashier was so nice and knowing I was visiting from out of state, had offered for a taste test of another item. Maybe the coldness numbed my stomach (or brain), as I've turned her down.

The new banana pudding bar at the UWS location of Magnolia Bakery is pretty close to divine. Flavors include caramel brownie, cookies and cream, red velvet and chocolate hazelnut. We tried the chocolate hazelnut and it was absolutely delicious. I didn't think the Magnolia Bakery banana pudding could be improved upon, but I was most certainly wrong.

I tried the famous banana pudding and I was not expecting much, but I understand the hype now. I don't typically eat banana pudding, so I I was surprised to have loved the perfectly fluffy and sweetened cream that was not overly sweetened with the perfect amount of stiffness mixed in with sliced bananas and a type of waffers. The waffer maintained it's inner crunch texture or at least the batch I got. I would DEF order it again.

An ok bakery. The cupcake was moist and had a nice chocolate flavor but was too sweet. The banana pudding was good but nothing special. Service was only ok.

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
