The worst barbecue I have ever tasted very dry. At one time they used to be really good.

Brisket was dry, coleslaw was good, ice cream tasted free, service was fine. Far from the best bbq texas has to offer.

We happened upon this place because we were in the area for an appointment. I've been to lots and lots of BBQ places so I don't mind trying something new to me. It is cafeteria style, grab a tray and place your order and your meat is cut in front of you. I had the Poorboy with 2 sides, it had chopped brisket, sausage and sliced brisket. My 2 sides were green beans & macaroni salad. The Macaroni salad was a bit bland for my taste. I did order the poorboy with fatty brisket and it was too tough for me to bite and chew. Had to pull out the meat to cut up and soak in BBQ sauce. I liked the hickory sauce, my husband did not. He liked the original sauce and I did not. Your taste buds matter. Service was just mediocre, no one was smiling or seemed to be in a good mood (??) maybe that doesn't matter but it helps to just give a free smile!! Booths all around the perimeter with tables in the center. They do have a 'Banquet' room for larger groups. A big bonus is they have both bottled drinks and fountain drinks AND extra bonus is free ice cream for dessert. Very reasonably priced, great lunch options which is when we visited and it was pretty busy. It's family owned and been in business awhile, I say if you want give it a try however, we will not be returning. read more

We ordered carry out. 2 plates with chopped beef and sides. The chopped beef was very dark, dry and tasted old. I called to check the age of the chopped beef and they finally got the manager on the line. Before describing it to him he asked if the chopped beef was dark. He then suggested I come back in today or in the future for another chopped beef plate. I told him that wasn't necessary. This is the second and last time we will be spending any money at this establishment. Last time we ate here, we couldn't taste the beef on the brisket because of all the fat. read more

Not to be confused with Bill Millers (headquartered out of San Antonio, and a South Texas BBQ staple), Miller's Bar-B-Q consistently serves up some amazing smoked meats. I have never had a bad experience here. Brisket is always moist and juicy. Turkey, chicken and pork loin is never dry. And they almost always have beef ribs! It is rare for a barbecue place to have beef ribs during the week. They mostly employ teenagers and young folks to run the counters and take orders. They are always super nice. read more

I came into the restaurant thinking that it wasn't going to be good, but my expectations were exceeded. For the first time trying a brisket sandwich was actually really good and juicy. The service there was excellent the cashier, the meat cutter, and especially the manager. The managers name was Mason and he showed great charisma and effort to guide me through the process. Serve and package the food to go with what you ordered. Please dont serve the small scraps instead of the sliced brisket.

Except for one thing, everything was great. Why do you force customers to leave a tip. For what? We order and get our own food. We pay for food, get our own utensils, drinks, condiments extras and ice cream. We even clean our own table and trash. So help me understand, where is the service deserving a tip? This place is cozy and the BBQ is fantastic! The sides definitely let me down a bit, the mac and cheese is extremely bland and the noodles were over cooked, the broccoli was also over cooked. Now, I usually just get a chopped beef sandwich or the chopped baker, both are great. The service is quick too, so it's a good lunch spot! read more

Had lunch here and ordered their po'boy that had brisket, chopped beef and (spicy) sausage. This along with a side of potato salad and beans. Overall, for a $12+ lunch, it was rather disappointing. The brisket was dry and not as flavorful as I would've expected. If it weren't for the spiciness of the sausage, there wouldn't be much flavor in that either. The beans were cold and equally lackluster. I wound up adding some chopped onion and jalapeño to them just to get some flavor going. The only positives were the chopped beef and the potato salad. Oh, and the hickory BBQ sauce was okay, but very thin - almost watery. Service was okay - considering it's cafeteria-style service. The restaurant was clean and empty trays and plates were taken away quickly. In a state where BBQ is as prevalent as flies on a picnic table, I would expect the competition to be fierce enough that Miller's would be a solid contender. But, it'll probably be a long time before I come back and give them another try. read more

I don't think you can go wrong here. Two of us had the sampler platter (enough food for 4 guys) and one person had the po'boy. All the meat is delicious. Their original sauce is better than the hickory but both are good. The original has just a hint of spicy zing to it. Decor is classic BBQ joint and prices are reasonable. read more

Wow, this was good BBQ. Meat and two sides for $7 was a great deal, along with unlimited pickles, peppers, onions and other sides. The bonus was free soft serve ice cream for dessert. Take as much as you want. But back to the meat which is why people come here. The cuts are lean and there are two kinds of sauce: hickory or original. Both were fantastic but I would have to side with the hickory. Potato salad and cole slaw slides hit the spot with the meat. read more

it's interesting that a manager at Miller's Bar-B-Q would tell me that it's my fault that i didn't get Bar-B-Q sauce with my $120 worth of Bar-B-Q. A little tip to the people in the barbecue industry, barbecue sauce comes with barbecue, they go hand in hand, welcome to reality. And if you don't believe that, then don't get upset next time you order fries that didn't come with ketchup, or chips that had no salsa. i would feel terrible for you if you happened to order $120 worth and had no ketchup, or salsa, and i definitely wouldn't blame that on you, i'd just try to correct it read more

Out of town again for a business trip and this place was brought in by the office. I was excited to try it after hearing "it's the best BBQ place around here. I was disappointed when I ate. The brisket was dry and lacked some flavor, but the BBQ sauce helped the taste not the dryness... the Chicken was dry and when attempted to cut it crumbled... a little over cooked (better than under cooked) the mac and cheese was pretty okay but again a little bland in flavor. I didn't try the beans or the potato salad but over all this is not a place I will seek out and eat at when I come back for a business trip! read more

Used to like this place but the one-star rating is a result of the last two visits here. Came a few weeks ago to get two MOIST brisket sandwiches, and got the toughest meat ever served. Came back today for the same sandwiches, and each sandwich had four small slices of brisket and half of each slice was pure fat. The girls are friendly, but they are not paying attention to what they are serving. If they are being told to serve meat that's half fat, then they should quit and go ringworm for a company that cares about their customers. We won't be back..... read more

I have been eating at miller's since I was a kid. They have a location in Annaville, that's where I grew up. If I'm buying bbq it's from here and only here. Quality is above and beyond and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Never will I ever go any place else. read more
