Great waterfront patio that was dog friendly! Service was good and all the staff was friendly and attentive. The eggs were cooked to order which isn't always the case when over medium. The biscuit was my favorite part! The omelette, well the kitchen kind of did their own version of the order and mixed some ingredients up... all the food going out looked great. read more

This was our first time back to the new Hatch restaurant, aka Millers Landing, have been coming here for years, but really enjoyed the improvements to the property and the menu. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Will be back, usually every trip to the lake. read more

Our experience this morning was quite appalling. We were greeted and told to choose a seat and that they'd be right with us with water and menu. We chose a sunny spot with a nice view and tried not to be annoyed that "Right with us" ended up being about 25 minutes later. The waitress came and struggled to get out words and couldn't seem to make her hands work in separating two menus from the stack she was holding, she very much seemed to be under the influence of something. About 10 minutes goes by and a guy with a long red beard stood at our table awkwardly, made a loud, annoyed huffing sound and then walked away. He returned a few minutes later and aggressively asked, "she's gonna help you right?" To which we replied, "we don't know," because it was starting to seem like no one wanted to help us, oddly enough, tables sat after us were getting prompt and happy service from this guy. She eventually did return to take our order; I ordered steak and eggs, my husband ordered an omelette. About 30 minutes later, the waitress returned and told me they were out of steak, so she just pushed through the order with bacon. I explained that I did not want bacon and we settled on something else. Two minutes later she returns with our plates, bacon grease sitting where they clearly removed from my plate and said, that the kitchen did have steak and they would make it for me now. We let 10 minutes go by before we really let the frustration get to us, she had returned to let me know the steak would be right out - because I had saved my food to eat all together, I requested the remake my eggs (which were made incorrectly) and reminded her we still didn't get our bread options. I don't know, but it seemed like the bread budget may be the thing that breaks them because she wanted to argue about whether our meals came with bread. She gave up on it and quickly came back with our choices (still no steak), my husband's toast plate sitting directly on top of my croissant. As soon as my husband picked up his bread he recognized it wasn't even toasted, but was a rock hard heel piece without any butter, my croissant smashed with a ring impact from the plate. We had enough, expressed that we did not wish to eat and that the service had been terrible. My husband was the only POC in the entire establishment, looking back, it definitely felt like the experience we had differed than those around us. Really poor display of food and service. read more

I love this place. The bloody Mary's are incredible. Great food, amazing view and if you sit at the bar you get to converse with the bartender Kelly..SHE IS A HOOT. I absolutely love her. so far we've had the breakfast sandwich, chicken and waffles, and the breakfast burrito. They were all fabulous. They advertise they have 'package goods' meaning you can buy beer to-go but be aware if you do, they charge bartop prices, meaning a 9 pack of Miller Light was $55! Won't be back. They aren't the only marina/bar/restaurant/gas on the Lake! Rainbow's End where the Little meets the Big sells 12 packs for $12.74 so basically same price as the stores/gas stations not on the lake, just FYI. read more

Visited here for brunch while at the lake for girl's weekend. We arrived around 10:30 and had a 45 minute wait to be seated. After being seated, we waited a long time for our drinks and order to be taken. A weird thing with the drinks is the water is served in a large glass bottle for you to pour yourself at the table, but there was no ice in the glasses or bottle and it was pretty hot the day we were there. Some ice to cool things off would have been better. We finally received our food after 12. I had the biscuits and gravy, which was inedible. The biscuits were rubbery and the gravy had a sweet aftertaste. One friend had French toast which was reported as very good. The cinnamon rolls were reported as just ok, but not special. Since my meal was inedible, my friends were kind enough to share some of their breakfast pizza which wasn't bad, but the sausage was too safe and fennel for my palate. We waited a long time again for our checks and to have the tab processed and then they had to correct an error for charging the wrong check to the wrong card. We found out later that there were 3 servers that had called in and instead of dividing the seating between those that did show up to work the tables were being randomly assigned and most of our servers tables were on the other side of the building and she was being pulled into the kitchen to help plate and expedite. The waitstaff was friendly enough, but it's hard to o recommend gross mismanagement. Also, not sure if it was just because they were busy and understaffed, but we were told we couldn't order off the lunch menu until after 12 (we ordered around 11:30 and didn't receive food until after noon). read more

Went for lunch and waiter brought wrong drinks twice. Told waiter I was a vegetarian and ordered a club sandwich and which listed ham, turkey, Swiss and cheddar cheese and avocado. Asked for the meat to be on the side so I could take it home for the dogs. The first sandwich came out with bacon so we sent it back. The second sandwich came out again with bacon.... Looks like the picked through the sandwich and removed the bacon but left remnants. I complained to the staff that was sitting at the bar and they said the sandwich was remade and that they think the bacon was left on a knife they used to cut the sandwich. Why would you use a knife with meat on it to cut a vegetarians sandwich? So irritated as I was looking forward to a nice lunch and ended up leaving with nothing to eat. If they can't figure out that a vegetarian wouldn't want bacon on a sandwich then I would not trust eating here. What if I was allergic to something and the messed that up. Be prepared to wait. It even says it on the menu. I almost left three stars but because this was only my first visit, I'm going to come back to give them another shot. This place is off the beaten path which makes it somewhat of a hidden gem. Think small-town lakefront bar without the chaos of one of the bigger lakefront bars. This place is open earlier than most lakefront places since they serve breakfast. I love that. We were seated immediately and it was just before 11am on a Saturday. Seemed like a steady crowd. About 5-7 min after we were seated, a table of 9 was seated. We still had not been approached by a server which was not a big deal to me until, a server tapped the edge of our table as she walked by and said a server would be with us shortly and then headed to the table of 9 asking if she could get them started with drinks. Wait, why are you heading to the table of 9 that was still arranging their chairs and hadn't even all sat down yet but we've been seated, looked at menus and ready to order drinks AND meal? It was a bit frustrating. Our waitress finally came to our table. She was friendly and helpful. Drinks took a bit to come out but theres a complimentary pitcher of water at every table so no biggie. Food was about 40 minutes but at the lake, that's actually not unusual. My friend was unimpressed with the food. She said the French toast was cold and terrible and the "Bubbas Taters" were soggy. I didn't share her disgust for the food but really wasn't something I'd come back for. The drink "twisted parrot" bucket was delish. Well mixed great combination. I would possibly come back for a drink here. Food, maybe. Wouldn't order the same thing again though. Seemed like many plates around us had a breakfast burrito. Maybe try that instead. read more

Super chill brunch vibes on the lake with live music as a bonus. We arrived and there was a small line so we figured the wait would be long but it wasnt. We were seated quickly ordered but it took forever for our food to come out. The food was good but we needed more syrup &a refill of orange juice, it took forever for our server to come back and check on us. awesome breakfast burritos and bloody Marys! we came here to gas up our friend's boat and we had ordered breakfast burritos ahead of time. our friends with the lake house love this place! we got our stuff to go, but did look around. fun and friendly atmosphere. the people that worked there were so nice! the Bloody Mary was rich in spice and flavor! the rim of the cup had yummy spices. oh and a huge fried shrimp! the breakfast burritos were amazing. I had the egg, bacon, cheese, and hash brown burrito and some in our group got the one with sausage instead of bacon. we all just ate a 1/2 burrito and that was filling enough! definitely a favorite of the weekend! read more

This is our favorite breakfast spot on the lake mainly for the atmosphere and the friendly service. We like to take our wave runners there so we can get out on the lake early and have a good breakfast. I believe our server's name was Kelsey(I'm so sorry if I am wrong-August 2nd)but she was sweet and attentive. It did seem like there may have only been 2 or 3 people working on Monday morning but they were taking care of us quickly. Breakfast this time was a little better than I remember it from a few weeks ago. The fresh fruit was amazing and my omelette tasted better than it had before. I do think it's on the pricey side for breakfast. I had a 3 egg omelette with peppers and cheese, a large slice of watermelon, slice of cantaloupe, and pineapple plus toast for around $11. My husband had the burrito which was massive and covered in meat. It was $14 but I didn't have to feed him lunch because he was still full. If going there on a week day, call ahead or check website for their hours. If going on a weekend, get there early and be patient. There's plenty to see:boats, turtles, fish, ducks... Miller's used to be a regular stop for my family, but the service and food has gone down hill. We stopped there for dinner on a Friday night, and just about everything we wanted that was listed on the menu was not available. Our server was very rude, which makes our experience worse. It is hard to enjoy your time there when the person providing you their services is rude. Until today, I would have given this place the highest marks. Went for breakfast this morning and got the absolute worst meal I've had in a long time...at 5-star restaurant prices! I threw my rock hard biscuit in the water and the fish and ducks couldn't even chew through it. My stomach was u settled all morning. Shitty food all around. Nacho cheese wiz stale chips plane ground beef for nachos. Hamburger frozen patty slice of cheese. Buffalo chicken sandwich the same except it never touched the flat top grill. Aloha chicken had buding ham on it. The waitress asked if we wanted anything else. We asked if they had lettuce or anything. She said o you want that? She explained to us that that's what you get 18 year olds are the cook that's the explanation for how bad the food was is that they have 18 year old cook's mind you the prices are not cheap. 1500 dollars to repair the boat, after the fact the boat still didn't work and on top of that the guy won't even back his work. Called to explain that the boat wasnt working, and the response was well it worked when I tested it.. AKA the Oar House...this is a nice little spot for breakfast, probably also a good choice for lunch and dinner too if you're looking for a casual spot on the lake. Although they're not trying to be anything fancy here, they still have a few surprises - a twisted boody mary was overloaded with a huge spicy shrimp, pepper, veggies for $7 - a reasonable price, especially lakeside. They also had several flavors of Mimosa, which were free (!) for moms on Mothers Day. The cocktail menu includes a handful of drinks that have a charity linked in - if you buy a drink, the listed family will donate a dollar to the charity they've indicated. This is something I've never seen done and you've got to love it. I got to taste the Pecan Pancake, Omelette and French Toast, plus the raspberry and strawberry mimosa. They were all just fine (except the strawberry mimosa, which was sickly sweet). Service was slow, but friendly. I never did get a refill on my soda. Slow service is much more tolerable when you're outside on a beautiful day watching boats come and go. Preices were reasonable - the pecan pancake was big enough for a meal and only $3.50. Also good news (or bad) there were probably 8 dogs joining their owners for breakfast. Just one barked when his dad got up to get him some water. It's a cute little bar and restaurant by the lake. A nice young lady helped us dock our boat. Short walk to restaurant. It was really hot outside but cool enough inside. Service was quick and good. He must have whispered our name if he did call for us, and then proceeded to know exactly who we were when he said he called out our name.
