We all ordered the same thing since we couldn't even read over the menus. The Ozark fish and chips was awful. Whatever fish it was actually in the tray was very over cooked and chewy. Certainly wasn't catfish or haddock. Don't suggest ordering that. Their French fries aren't actual French fries. It's more like a flat potato wedge definitely don't feel like they should be calling them fries. Pricey place. Small Bucket cocktails have a little alcohol in it and lots of ice: Over $12. We ordered portabella burger with coleslaw, bacon burger. Fish and Company is a cool place. I think you really go for the atmosphere, not necessarily the food. The best thing we ate were the fried cheese. The inside of the shrimp tacos were good but the tortilla shell was bland. :(. My friend was told the fish in her fish tacos was fresh. Despite these negatives, the place hosts good music acts frequently, and the lake atmosphere is still great. When they're busy I've had better luck putting it all together into one good visit. It's rare for me to write a one-star review, but my family and I had a terrible experience at The Fish & Co. We arrived for dinner around 7pm on a Friday night (four adults, two children) and expected a wait. We were pleased to see that there was an open table inside. It's probably a lot more fun to sit on the patio and listen to the music, but it was extremely loud and the seating was first-come, first served, and nothing was open. The patio is lively and the inside is bright and colorful, so we were happy either way. It only took a few minutes to get drinks. The paloma was a-ok, but the other cocktail at our table was a hot mess, and all that was in it was Absolut, cranberry, and club soda, so I'm not sure how that wasn't easy enough. We placed an appetizer order: fried pickles and cheddar cheese balls. We also decided to place the rest of our order at the same time since we already knew what we wanted. This is when the real trouble began. We waited an hour (a whole hour!) for our appetizers, which were literally the smallest plates ever. I cannot believe they charge $10.99 for a basket of tiny, fried balls of cheese. Regardless, we were starving, so it had to work. Our entrees didn't come out for another 45 minutes, so that's an hour and 45 minutes of waiting for our food. It was totally insane. My kids literally ordered chicken fingers and mini corn dogs -- how could it take that long? When the food arrived, it was not good. The fries were the only thing we liked. The kicker was when we asked our server where our food was, she told us "I can't give you a time. It'll be out when it's out." ............... Needless to say, this will be our only trip here. We ordered three waters, two mixed drinks and a root beer. Out of the six beverages there were three dirty cups that had to be replaced. The mixed beverages were definitely under poured and there was more ice than beverage - even the juice was lacking. We ordered the kids Mac and cheese with fries, the pulled pork sandwich, fish and chips and the crab wonton dip appetizer. The crab dip was good, the chips were just fried which was nice, however they were not properly drained so there was a pool of oil and soggy chips at the bottom. The pulled pork lacked depth of flavor but was cooked well enough. The Mac and cheese was microwaved cup. The fish was awful; bland, mushy, fishy tasting and poorly coated in cornmeal. It tasted old and poorly cooked; only two pieces were eaten. The fries on all the dishes were fine. Definitely won't be back - everything was way overpriced for quality and quantity. read more

They are getting ready to close for the season (early October) Four star for LotO restaurant. It came very highly recommended by several people. Our neighbor says it's her favorite. My expectation was a bit different than what it ended up as but goooood fish for sure!! Started with Tuna Dip! Yum!! It's served with Ritz butter crackers (I'd suggest it have more creative crackers with it but Ritz works). They smoke the tuna to where it has a perfect hint of smokey flavor. I had the Dale Dinner fried and the batter is divine!! Thick, crunchy and the fish is cooked to perfection. One piece is more than a meal! I got fried potato salad and was not impressed. I'm the Forest Gump of potatoes so for me not to care for it says something. My hubby ordered the Southern Fried Fish Fillets (2 large pieces). His sweet potato fries were good. We ordered the Super Cherry Limeade in a bucket to split !! Yumminess but not much alcohol. The view on the upper deck is great at sunset. The lower deck is colorful and fun! What a vibe this spot is!! Definitely coming back on our next trip. We had a group of seven and were seated on the patio/deck right away. It's hot out there, but they have ample shade and fans going, and you really can't sit inside when you're eating on the lake. Our party ordered a variety of food from the menu and everyone was happy. I really liked that they had quite a few different foods to choose from. We also ordered drinks, which were rather tasty. I normally don't do pina coladas, but I did here and it did not disappoint. We heard about the karaoke on Thursday evenings with DJ Kyle, so we decided to come over to partake in the karaoke. Big mistake. Guess you have to be a regular known by the DJ to partake. Put my name in to sing, sat there for 2 1/2 hours and watched different singers get up several times to sing, and never got called up. Buckets were only $12.50- which is $4 cheaper than a place we went to last weekend with the same size buckets! We also had a bucket of beer. Twice our se and the bussers came by and added more ice to the bucket. I've literally never seen that at a lake place. There were several bussers clearing trash and bottle from the table constantly.
