I was very disappointed with service in obtaining my father's nebulizer machine on a weekend. They also said they do not deliver nebulizers to clients but deliver more expensive respiratory related equipment. The equipment they sold me quit working in less than 2 weeks. We requested service on our Pride Mobility brand power scooter purchased a little more than a year ago with a two year manufacturer's warranty on parts. I don't understand, its a SALE isn't it? For 2 Mo. (since April) I was given the runaround, why? I finally called my insurance company & for 2 hours they stayed with me on the phone while they called Millers & my Dr back and forth. They spoke to 3 different people here including Bridget & Emails were sent to Shelly by my Dr & myself & still I was not given any help at all. I was told I needed a ramp before I got Mobility Scooter, False I never did because my home is wheelchair accessible. My insurance were told that I wasn't in their system, why? When even my Dr sent all authorization needed. Today was the last try (I called Millers one last time, they still had my prescription) because my insurance helped above and beyond, but even they didnt get anywhere. Why? when you had everything asked of us. So, No I wont recommend you to anyone, No I wont need or want any of your services, your loss others gain, never again. We were very disappointed with Miller Rental. Ordered a tent though the caterer. Told by Miller Rental the tent would be delivered on a Thursday. No delivery. Called Friday and told the tent was "on the truck". Still no delivery by Friday afternoon. Called again and they admitted the order had been misplaced. Bottom line Miller sales lied to us for 2-days while we waited around for a delivery to show them where to set up the tent. Friday noontime, salesperson told us he would be out by 2:00 to mark where the tent would be placed. He did not show up until 4:00. Again, a commitment missed. The team finally showed up at 4:30 to put the tent up after they completed their regular scheduled installs. Called Monday morning and told they would pick the tent up that afternoon. You guessed it. Tent is still in the yard and now told maybe Tuesday afternoon. I would not recommend Miller's Rental and Sales. Seem very disorganized and not focused on customer service. read more

I needed a ramp to get to my front door when I came home from the hospital. I called on Friday and left a voicemail. By Monday, no one had returned my call. I called a few more times. I finally got a call back, only to find out I was speaking to the wrong person. She transferred me to someone's voicemail. I was in the hospital and they called while I was in physical therapy and left a message. I immediately called them back and left ANOTHER message. It is Thursday, I am going home today with no ramp. Every message I left I explained when I needed this and my urgency. I am paying cash. Now I'm left in a bad situation. I do not recommend Miller's. read more

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I am Posting the below on behalf of my father, who does not have social media. My name is Joe Darsch and I live in Boynton Beach, Florida On September 19th 2020 I accepted proposal from Miller's representative (Peter Hass) to have a straight chair lift installed from the house to the basement at my mother's home in Rootstown, Ohio. In addition to the lift, I hired Miller's to construct and install a platform and stair from the kitchen door into the garage. I have no issues with the chair lift, installation- as that product works well and my mother was very happy with the chair lift, specifically. However, I do have a serious issue with the platform and stair. The first proposal I received was for a 3ft X 3ft with a total wood cost of $400.00 (with a $500.00 labor/installation charge), I explained that their proposed dimension was too small as it would be the same size as the door and she would not be able to get on to the platform or close the door while standing on the platform. I contacted the company and explained that the platform needed to be 5ft X 5ft- to avoid the above-discussed issues. After this conversation, the new proposal indicated that the wood cost doubled (from $400.00 to $800.00) and the "labor" remained at $500.00 (i.e., total of $1,300.00 with new dimensions per discussion), I thought it was strange but did not question it, as I trusted the company. During the whole time talking with Peter Hass, who was the only person I had contact with from the company, it was known that there would be small great grandchildren at the house and the railing around the platform and stair would need to have pickets per code that small children could not fit through or fall from. When I got the picture of the finished product there were no pickets- just one 2X4 splitting the difference between the rail and the deck. I called my mother to speak to the installer while they were still at my mother's home and they told me they do not install pickets. I then called Peter Hass and he told me the same thing (that they do not installed pickets) despite having agreed to do so in prior discussions. After further conversation, he finally agreed to install the pickets and sent someone back out a week later to install. Thereafter, I had a painter go to the house to paint the stair and rail. I received a call from the painter and was told the stair was built from 5/8 OSB plywood which is not rated for floors and on 24 inch centers, standing between the support the wood would sag, the pickets that were installed were not attached at the bottom and were 3 inches away from any wood to attach them to. After receiving photo from the painter, confirming the above, I contacted Miller's to remedy the problems. I had several more conversations with Peter Hass who told me that they were not "finish carpenters". I told him I was not looking for an interior platform and stair; simply one that was built correctly for utilization/ safety purposes. Last conversation I had Peter Hass told me they would come out remove the platform and stair and refund my money, in total (i.e., $1,300.00). I agreed to this. They did come back two weeks later and removed everything. Three weeks later I receive a credit on my CC account for $1,000.00 . It took several phone call attempts for Peter Hass to take my call; at which time I was told the $300.00 less of the full refunded amount was for a restocking fee on the wood that was non-refundable (information I was not told prior to refund as all previous conversations were an agreed "full" refund for labor and material). I am beyond disappointed with this company. I wholeheartedly believe they took advantage of an "out of town" relative who was aiding their elderly parent. I, being over 1,000 miles away, stayed in constant contact with Miller's/ Peter Hass, had numerous conversations that were clear as to the workmanship, quality, safety and design I anticipated and was promised it all. I would not recommend this company-- they tell you one thing they do another. read more

The most frustrating company I've ever worked with. My son's wheelchair lift was broken for more than 2 months which left him home bound, and no one cared enough to try and help. I called 30-40 times and nothing. I'll never work with them again and I certainly won't recommend them to anyone I know. read more

I am being generous with 2 stars. All these medical supply companies are equally tough to work with. I don't know if it is all the Medicare and insurance regulations or what, but everything is more difficult than it needs to be. Millers seems ok as you are on the phone with them, then your order arrives on your front porch and it's wrong. Their billing is awful. It never matches the EOB from your insurance company. Today I called for advice about a CPAP mask for sensitive skin, and the girl who answered the phone had to ask a respiratory therapist the answer to my question. Then when I had two more questions, she asked the therapist to talk to me, but he or she wouldn't do it and gave the phone girl an unhelpful answer to relay to me. That person might as well have just said tell the customer I don't give a shit. read more

I phoned Miller's to arrange to return and pay for my sisters rented wheelchair since she has been first in the hospital and now in rehabilitation for almost two months and the wheelchair has just been sitting and of no use to her. The first time I phoned Miller's the phone rang for so long I finally gave up and hung up, I phoned again and the phone rang again for a long time before being answered. I was put on hold and then when the woman finally picked back up she was snippy when I explained what I was calling about. She said she would transfer my call, I was placed on hold again and then after sitting on hold for five minutes the phone line was picked up and then I was hung up on. I phoned right back and the same woman answered and informed me that the man I needed to speak to was at lunch but she would have him call me and arrange for payment and pickup of the wheelchair she never even asked for my phone number or name and promptly hung up. I expected better from Miller's since I used them years ago, but after this experience, I will caution my sister about dealing with them ever again. read more
