These local stores are starting to become few and far between. It is such a joy to walk into a…read morehardware store and say....I need one of these thingys for a thingy like that, that I am hooking to this other thingy......and they know exactly what you are talking about. I can tolerate Lowes occasionally and Home Depot only if I am desperate. Its amazing how most of these small stores still have everything you need, and if for some reason they don't, they know exactly what the real name of the thingy is your trying to find. Parking here is street and about 4 spots in the back.

Their entire counter is surrounded by plexiglass, hand sanitizers are out in plain sight for all to see/use. The staff masks up before coming out from behind the counter to keep folks at east. Nicely done! They've got the olde-world hardware store knowledge combined with good pricing and a work ethic that makes you happy you chose them. Box store employees are mindless gnomes that cannot hold a candle to the folks that work at Best. We've been using their services for a couple decades going back to their old location and they earn our business with every visit. Recommended!

Not like some other large stores where you can't find anyone to help you. They have a lot of merchandise, anything that you might need at reasonable prices. They even have other services such as screen repair which I had to do. My screen door was coming apart, brought it to Ace, no problem, left it, then picked it up several days later. Good as new. You can sign up for their reward programs and they will send you coupons.

The first thing you notice when you go in is how big this store is. It's like a supermarket for home supplies. Big and bright with a very friendly and helpful team of people. They recently did a complete renovation-expansion and were really able to bring in much more merchandise and keep plenty of open space. Their COVID protocols have also been excellent through the pandemic. I like a place that makes you feel safe. It's nice to come here and support a local business. They have a wonderful selection of merchandise here. Hardware, tools, electrical supplies and home (indoor and outdoor) cleaning supplies. They also have a great paint department. I was always very impressed with their BBQs and smokers. They also have many accessories and parts for the more popular brands like Weber and Green Egg. My last trip here was for picture hanging hooks and wall fasteners. I was hanging a large-heavy mirror and they had all the necessary supplies for me. I also needed some specialty cleaning supplies for concrete and they had these special items too. I highly recommend ACE and suggest you try it before venturing out to the big chain stores. Shopping locally is good for our communities.

My wife went to Ace Hardware to pick up an order for salt for our water filtration system and the…read moreexperience was completely unacceptable. When she asked about the order, an older gentleman working there barked orders at her, telling her to move her car to the back of the store so they could load it -- there was no politeness or professionalism at all. Then, the younger employee who loaded the order just threw the heavy bags into the car with no care, risking damage to the bags and the vehicle. To make things worse, the same older gentleman yelled from inside the store for my wife to come back and sign off on the order. The entire experience was handled in a rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner from start to finish. I later called the store and spoke with the manager, Michael, to share how disappointed I was. Unfortunately, this experience was bad enough that we will not be returning or ordering from Ace Hardware again. It's unfortunate, because we expected a much better level of customer service from a company like Ace.
