I tried this salon for the first time and I really liked it. Located in La mesa it was easy to get to and they have a parking lot that was easy to access. My hair stylist was Sheridan. She looked at my inspiration photo and did a great job. I had partial highlights and toner. She was very professional and made sure I was taken care of at every step. It had been years since I went to this salon-mostly I just got a cut from where ever was closest the moment I couldn't stand the unruliness of my hair any longer. Back in March I got my hair done by this hairstylist named Alicia Clark and I could not regret it more. She burned my hair and refused to give me a refund which I feel I deserve. I wanted partial highlights but instead got burned hair and I have big chalky blocks in the front which looks horrible. I'm sure there are some great hairstylists in this salon but Alicia C. is not one of them. I reached out to her and she did not respond either. The whole experience was something I never asked for and I payed her prices which she increased. Her attitude is disgusting she basically just told me that I need to find a new hair dresser and took no accountability. She trimmed my hair but honored my request to keep it at a good length. She thinned my hair out per request.she made sure to take off as much weight off as I wanted! I've been to this place twice now to see Jessica and she's amazing!! For the first appointment, she put in blue and green tinsel for an upcoming festival. She was so thoughtful in how she placed it in my hair. It looked so good, like mermaid hair. I was able to wear that look for weeks and I continued to get compliments on it during that time. I also saw her for a haircut. She really listened to my concerns and the type of cut I wanted. She gave me such a great haircut that was really cute but also low maintenance enough for me to easily style. She's super personable and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her. I had a horrible allergic reaction to gel nail polish a few years back and was told that I would never be able to use gel again. Sandra listened to my story and we decided to give gel a try. She was very careful to not allow the gel to touch my cuticles or skin and after she was done, she made me wash my hands thoroughly. It worked! I now go to her every two weeks! Unfortunately, this was the worst salon experience I've ever had. I came in for a layered bob and left with a glorified bowl cut with uneven layers and messed up bangs. I gave two stars because the stylist did her best to correct her work when I communicated that I was unhappy, but it was nowhere near what we had agreed upon. Let me start off by saying this place is huge over 30 stylist in this location, mine is Sabrina. Adorable, sweet and beyond good at what she does. I found her through Instagram, and i fell in love with her work. I said to myself I am ready for a change, I had my first session today and I am in love. Going lighter is definitely a process, you cannot expect super blond at first appointment. It's a process. The work and effort all the girls do here is honestly a lot. From parting your hair to the wrapping it in aluminum foil, washing it, blow drying it.... ufff a work out forsure... ladies you rock. Pros: they have their own parking lot Cons: waiting area could use more chairs, and reception/other stylist could use a smile on their faces. I got a lot of funky faces but I didn't really care much about it since I wasn't seeing them. Smiles can go a long way especially in customer service. None the less, great place. It was so short in the back that it could only be salvaged by cutting off all of my hair the day after.
