Michele McLuen is an amazing hairstylist. She has been my hairdresser for many years. She is the best! Salon Jag is a lovely salon. It is always clean and welcoming. Gretchen, the owner, does an excellent job of creatively decorating the salon for all the holidays and seasons. There is a lovely little snack area with cookies, snacks, coffee, and sodas. All the stylists who work at Salon Jag are wonderful. I am partial to Michele McLuen, since she did my hair at another shop many years ago. read more

I have been coming here for a while. My hair cuts are always exactly what I want, done by Gretchen the owner. The snack section is perfect for a little pick me up after coming from work. Every person that works there makes sure you are taken care of and welcomed. Would definitely recommend. Can't wait to schedule other appointments as they are a full service salon! This is a Salon I would recommend to anyone from pedicures, manicures, massages, hair, and having an aesthetician there for all your needs! You should ask who is the best haircut dresser first. Based on the type of haircut you want.. ask if any of the hairdressers specialize in short haircuts, if that's your desire style. read more

I highly recommend the deep tissue massage with Yvette. Her prices are reasonable and she is able to get my knots' knots loosened up. I am very particular about my masseuses and she is only the 2nd female I've gone to who is strong enough to tackle my issues. read more

I love coming to Salon Jag. The owner, Gretchen, has done a beautiful job at redesigning the salon she treats her employees and clients with such positive respect. The salon is filled with a relaxation music and happy sounds. I have been coming here for more than eight years and getting my nails done regularly from Danielle. She does a great job and provides the best therapy sessions. Very friendly and inviting. read more

I'm adding my old review, because though the salon has changed names, the stylists (for the most part) have not. "I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Courtney for 3 years. She is so friendly, and wonderful at what she does. I have pretty difficult hair to deal with as it's curly and thick and coarse, yet I like to wear it straight. Courtney does a great job every time and I've NEVER left her chair unhappy. She also does a bang up job with makeup! AND you can't beat the price. A haircut is cheaper here than I've seen anywhere, including out of state. " read more

This salon is absolutely lovely and it is located close to all kinds of shopping for before and after your pampering session. There is a hair stylist for everyone! So many different hairstylists, very personable front desk welcoming personnel, great music selection, men and women of all ages come through this salon, nail techs for manicures and pedicures... coffee, tea, water and smiles always offered, WiFi service, comprehensive line of hair and skin products, more than ample parking, tastefully decorated throughout, it's got it all! I have been coming to Salon Jag for about a year now. I had followed my previous hairdresser over. I have been seeing her for 24 years. The salon is very comfortable and clean and I know several of the hairdressers from the previous salon. Everyone is friendly and accommodating.There is plenty of parking. This salon is a great place to get your hair and nails done. It's a great location with lots of parking and the stylists are very professional and friendly. I have been going to Jackie for quite a while but as a former hairdresser myself I like to observe the other stylist and they all do a great job. I have been going to Suzie for years (hairstylist/ color expert/ pro at thick LONG hair) She does a great job with my highlights, I have a strawberry reddish color hair naturally and trust her with my color completely. I have had lots of people get lost in my hair and she has exceeded my expectations every time! I can sit and relax knowing that I will leave with great hair. I always get compliments on how natural my highlights look and people can't tell! Yvette gives the best massages ever and her prices are very good!!! She's the best in town! read more

I was able to get a receptionist on the phone but because she was new was unable to assist. I was directed to contact the individual hairdressers via Instagram. This required me to follow their page before I could message them. Really, really inefficient. In the meantime, I was able to locate another salon and hairdresser via Vagaro and book an appointment. These professionals may be great, but having an easy way to book will get more clients. In this day and age, the instantaneous booking is the bar and this place doesn't meet it. It is a hurdle/challenge to just get an appointment. I am sure these people are nice and are probably good at what they do.

I'm adding this review as I keep following my hairdresser around San Diego, cos she is worth is and I'm particular about my hair and how I look (arent we all). Michele Messinger Mcluen, has been my stylist, colorist, styling chair therapist since 2001. She has moved as hair dressers do, over the years but she's so good. I've just followed her. I work in Corporate America, and I coach people, train people and work with senior leadership. Its important that I look good. My hair is part of this. Michele always gets it spot on, the color is exquisite and the cut, I couldn't ask for better. Her prices are well worth the outcome. She has an easy going demeanor and is low drama which is nice, when sometimes you just want to have your hair done without all the yak yak... She is very genuine and cares that you are pleased. In addition I happen to know she is always going to classes and events to help continuously improve her skills and be cutting edge with new techniques(no pun intended) I also appreciated when I was pregnant and worried about hair color, as expectant mothers do, she was able to find solutions that would not hurt my baby. I simply love Michele, I wish she could be closer, so I could get my hair done before work every morning ;-) read more
