Ok been here some times now and it's always amazing. Staff is dead on. And the place is so nice. Great date night or family dinner. No reservation so it's good to come early. The food is amazing and I will make this a go to spot for now on.

Millrock is such a special place. The staff is so sweet and really make you feel so welcome as soon as you get there. Inside is a vibe - moody and dark. The drinks are really good and the food was really delish. We got a pizza which was actually awesome and then chicken Marsala which was reallllly decadent. Overall, highly suggest.

Not good and pricey. My family ordered 2 pizzas for pickup. I wish they would have told me they were selling Tostinos... tiny little 10in pies with a smattering of cheese and a light drizzle of tomato juice. Just a disappointment. The staff seemed angry that I was picking up the pizzas. $19/pie! I looked at the bill and they'd added a 5% charge for a credit card. They didn't mention it, just thought that was okay. Nope. The place inside looks cute. So that's a positive. But the food? Small portions, medium quality ingredients (sauce from a jar and cheese from a zip lock bag) and honestly just not very well prepared. The middle of the pie was droopy and soggy while the edges were hard and flavorless. TL;DR: Not good at pizza. I don't suggest pickup.

Maybe my pizza standards are too high, maybe I got too excited when I saw that pizza stove, because the pizza really fell short of any expectations. Very average at best. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Lots of wine and drink options to choose from. Prices on the high end given the lack of flavor. Location is perfect if your coming off the mountain. Beautiful views from the dining room.

We ordered several appetizers for the table. Our dinners were delicious and dessert was great also .Our server was very attentive .We had a great night with friends with fantastic food .

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Windham. The service is impeccable from start to finish, the owners always make their rounds to make sure you're enjoying your meal, and the space is so cozy and warm. We started with off drinks; I had "The Hugo" which was an Italian Spritzer with prosecco. It was very refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. We didn't order an appetizer but their bread deserves recognition in this review! They serve their bread warm with a really high quality olive oil and fresh cracked black pepper. I could eat an entire loaf of this bread in one sitting. I usually have the bolognese which is one of the best versions I've ever had but tonight I had the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. To me, this is the perfect vodka sauce because it's more tomato based than cream based so it's a bit on the lighter side. I added chicken to it and it was grilled to perfection! I was able to try the Mussels Bianco and the Vegetable Medley salad as well which were both incredibly tasty. The broth for the mussels was so rich while also being light and the vegetables were grilled perfectly on the salad. My experiences I've had at Millrock just gets more and more elevated every time we go!

Great food, amazing service! Place was busy for the long weekend but we never felt rushed. We came for dinner on Saturday and loved it so much that we came back again on Sunday. Between the four of us over the two days, we probably tried half of the entrees on the menu. Everything was yum! But let me rant about the service... as we were about to leave, I asked the owner who was hosting where I can pick up some fruit for breakfast tomorrow. She suggested a place down the road, which was helpful. Two minutes later, she came to our table with a box of blackberries, strawberries and an orange! She gave us food out of her own refrigerator!!! Talk about a proprietor who cares.

The service has been quite good and everything seems much better organized and running like a well-oiled machine. The food portions are quite large. My wife and I can share a main dish and still have leftover. However, the food is just ok. not bad, not bad at all, but nothing inspired. I'm sure a lot of families that come here appreciate the portion sizes, but I'd like to see some higher quality food offerings. The bartenders are great and I have no issues at all with the drinks - they're quite well balanced and tasty. So, overall, I'd say it is an solid option among the other restaurants in the area, though somewhat standard fare.

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

And idk what it is, it could be just the local folks don't got that much flavor in their taste buds and they the anti-City folk type so most of the businesses just lack in that field. With that said... this was a pretty decent Italian spot I will say WITH that consideration in mind. I did have the ravioli with slow cooked carne inside and that was delicious. My wife got the lasagna and... it was iiiitte. Family next to us were raving about it and like they were nice and we were being polite. But like let's be real here - it tasted like Stouffer's. Not that it's a knock, but at that point, you paying for the atmosphere. Which I will say the indoors is nice. You can have a nice date night or family outing here. There's a bar and plenty of parking. The service was on point and very accommodating with our new born. Who we were chopping it up with our waiter, and found out the owner's name is also the same as our kid so that was fun talking with them on. The garlic bread - idk if it's supposed to come cold, but it had like tomato sauce on it, it was like the complimentary bread with some extra shit on it. But I wasn't feeling that, but my inner Italian side just kept dipping it in my red, and it was all good. I'm glad we came here but probably won't be back if given the chance. But we looked around, and it seemed like to be the only viable Italian restaurant in the area so, if given under the same conditions, we would be back lol. I just went back and forth there like 3 times. Is that non-Ai enough of a review for you Yelp? After they flagged me for actually structuring and editing my reviews like in old school English class. Now yelp is promoting "Yelp Assistant" even though it's Ai. Gtfo here lmao

Although our server was nice, she was often slow and not readily available. My girlfriend had to ask 3 times for a steak knife and we were constantly begging for basic items like drinks and ketchup. The predatory billing practices here are shocking: 20% Automatic Gratuity: ok, this is not unusual for large groups in many resistant, but clearly explained why the staff felt no need to actually serve and take care of us. 10% "Living Wage Fee": A mandatory tax on the customer because the owner refuses to pay their staff properly! They stored it and brought it out, but we ended up taking it home without them ever touching or slicing it. They still had the nerve to charge us $30 just for the "privilege" of having it in the building. Probably my favorite thing from the night, the meatballs (2) were especially tasty. Again, sauce here was a bit too thin. - Eggplant Parm had a beautiful coat of melty cheese but the eggplants themselves left much to be desired. Instead of being coated and fried, they almost felt boiled? Not sure how to explain it, but I would try something else. The service was good, nothing to write home about, but not bad overall. From start to finish, everything about the day radiated warmth, care, and that unmistakable Woodstock charm. This big old tire lug even cried at one point (beautiful day). The Barn itself is stunning -- rustic beams and earthy textures balanced by soft, glowing light that makes every moment feel intimate. The space feels both elevated and welcoming, where guests instantly relax into the atmosphere. As a photographer, I loved how naturally light fell across the room, how every corner offered a backdrop of character and soul. The staff deserves endless praise, I must say. They were attentive, yet never intrusive, and moved with thoughtfulness. I watched glasses being filled before anyone noticed they were empty, plates delivered with genuine smiles, and small details handled with a level of care that made all the difference. And then there's the food -- it was out of this world. Every dish was crafted with love, pride, rooted in the flavors of the Hudson Valley and plated with artistry. From the first bites of fresh made pasta to the rich, soulful entrées of chicken and fish, guests talked about the food all night. And me, two days later I'm still talking about it. Guests lingered at long tables, savoring not just the food but a sense of connection it fostered. My hats off to the chef! I love what you do. The Barn at Cucina in Woodstock does not just host weddings -- it embraces them. It gave the bride and groom and their family and friends a space to celebrate love, life, the past, present and the future while also creating a sense of community, belonging. By the end of the evening, it was less like a venue and more like a gathering place for something sacred, joyful, holy. If you're considering Woodstock for your wedding, The Barn at Cucina is a gem. As a photographer, I can't recommend it enough -- it's a place where love is not only celebrated but elevated, wrapped in incredible service, unforgettable food, and a setting that feels timeless, chic, elevated.
