I got the branzino fish - it tasted previously frozen and soggy. The sauce was too watery, only the vegetables were good. My husband got the chicken parmesan which was too thin, dry, over cooked and the sauce was too sweet. He only ate two bites and gave up. Based on our dishes he didn't even want to try anything else. My daughter (12 yrs) got spaghetti and meatballs, we asked for the kids meal twice and they still brought her an adult size meal which she didn't eat half of. Salads with the meal were plain and uninspired. Would never go there again. read more

Ambiance was airy and open, but not noteworthy. She had a shrimp cocktail with 7 shrimp that she loved. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. We didn't love the sauce. On May 25th, 2025, I hosted my sisters Bridal Shower at Prominence. To say it was incredible is an understatement. The atmosphere, food, service and drinks were just amazing. I had the sangria and OMG was it FABULOUS. The chicken francaise was moist, the penne Ala vodka was the best on the mtn top and the family style appetizers were delicious. We had rice balls, eggplant rollitini, a smoked meats and cheese platter and meatballs. We definitely did not leave hungry. Another amazing meal! Called while we were en route and was able to get a reservation! Our waiter was fabulous, splitting an adult size salmon entree for our children. I had the mussels in white wine sauce and it was delicious! He could sense that my kids were tired and he made sure we were in and out in an hour. This has been a favorite place for my husband and I since they opened and we have had visited here over a dozen times. Food is exceptional with large portions. Ambience is interesting and the friendly inviting service is beyond reproach. A welcome hello from Don and Miguel are always a highlight, and we enjoy speaking to them. Good food!! Not so good waitress. Service was meh. We did not feel welcomed by our waitress, she seemed agitated and was passive aggressive. The owner of the restaurant went around to greet everyone and was more welcoming than the waitress herself. Our group came up for a weekend and were looking into dinner options around the area. This restaurant seemed promising and located close to where we were staying. We were seated immediately and put in our order. Food was a slow to come out and our waitress Sam was almost nowhere to be found most of the time. We waited an hour before asking sam for an update on our order and she seemed agitated when we asked. She informed us there were two large parties ahead of us, which is fine. We would've appreciated an update on our order. We were okay with the waiting time but there was no update or acknowledgement on why the wait was so long even after we noticed a table that came later received their food earlier. The service was not good from our waitress but everyone else was super sweet. We saw lipstick on our napkin and we were missing plates and utensils. The food was great!! The penne alle vodka is a must try. We got calamari and the burrata for starters. Calamari was good, not too rubbery and lightly battered. The burrata has sardines in it and it made it a deeper flavor. For entrees, we ordered the chicken parm, chicken Marsala, penne alle vodka, linguine and clams and rigatoni bolognese. What an awesome first experience in this newcomer to Windham! Such a beautiful, simple, rustic design- and a beautiful large bar with stone accent walls. Bartender Lindsay was so helpful, friendly and efficient. Works like a little rocket ship! The owner, Don, stopped by to introduce himself- what a lovely personal touch! We've been waiting to try Prominence for many months during the construction and it certainly did not disappoint after our recent dinner. Food: A+ Large delicious portions of excellent Steaks, Veal, Chicken, Pastas, Fresh Fish and so many other dishes and daily specials like Soft Shell Crabs and crab claws. The Veal Chop Parmesan and Filet Mignon were our favorites. Ambiance: A+ We ate at the huge square bar that's seats 28 people comfortably with 4 massive 63" TV's on each side to watch sports. There was also a live Piano/guitar player that had the whole bar crowd singing and dancing. The bar area also has a huge wood burning fire place which will be great for next Fall/Winter. The dining rooms also looked well appointed with nice industrial hanging lights and additional fire places in some of the dining rooms. I also noticed a huge outdoor patio off the bar which will be used for outdoor dining and a fire pit once the weather warms up. Service: A+ The restaurant was packed on a busy Saturday night and the 2 Lindsay's behind the bar were amazing bar tenders. They are true professionals at their craft. The owners also frequently checked on us and take a lot of pride in their new restaurant. You can tell they put a lot of attention into every detail of the restaurant design which is gorgeous and fits in well with the Windham NY area vibe. We will certainly be back many times to enjoy this spectacular new addition to the Windham dining and bar scene!! read more

Everything from making reservations, being greeted at the door, being seated, going over the specials was 5 stars. The food is better than any seafood restaurant ive been to. I Had the oysters with crab meat in a lobster sauce which was as good or better than Julia Childs cooking. The red snapper stuffed with crabmeat was a large portion as well as fine taste. Well I have been to many restaurant's in many countries and in the US. I was appalled by the help mostly the waitress and waiters. We picked a night that they had the restaurant filled by a party and was still taking in walk-ins. They should have turned away people. That would have been better than waiting two hours for food. Along with eating outside with only two heaters and we were not seated by one. So besides being cold and asking for napkins as well as other utensils.. Along with having to wait for a glass of wine because they ran out of glasses.. One of the owners kept walking around to check on everyone and give explanations why they were backed up. What I would have done is started to get my hands dirty as a owner and help the staff get things right. Some tables got some free drinks along with desert very inconsistent. We got offered free glass of wine however it was not the same wine as what we were drinking. Oh and one waiter was the bread delivery and it seemed as though he was consistently walking around placing bread on the tables we received three without asking. Confusion. My suggestion would be to train your staff better in what they should be doing! Also turn away clients if you are out of one chef and have a large party going on. Your reviews will just keep getting worse. I had the meatball app with was very good!! Salad was great. Dinner was a 7 by nine I was to cold and ready to leave. I would give them one more shot to get it right & will give a review after that. When you pay good money for going out you like to expect more! I hate to have an experience like this. I want the best for any owners and enjoy going out to eat. Hopefully this gets read and they step up. read more

Service was discriminating. Arrived 10 minutes before close and there were several people at the bar and at tables. Everyone turned around when we walked in. A woman behind the bar says can I help you guys? My husband asked if they were open. The woman turns to a heavy set bald man who was sitting at the bar and says "it's up to you, you make the call" the man looks us up and down and says "no Im sorry guys were closed". Despite there still being people behind them in tables with food and drinks at their tables. All we wanted was a drink and to buy 10 bottles of wine for a wedding the next morning and everything else was closed. It was extremely embarrassing and hurtful to be turned away. We were visiting from out of town but told all of our family and friends about the rude encounter and they will not be going to this establishment. read more

Went there last night. Was greeted with a warm welcome. When we sat down at our table for 8 and ordered drink we were surprised to have complementary rice balls and meatballs brought to our table, that were fabulous. All the meals came with a salad. Our table ordered Fish, lamb chops and chicken dishes all were cooked perfectly and tasty. We were greeted after our dinner to see if everything was good and see if anyone had any suggestions. My family and I came in on Sunday 01/19/25, it was during the snowstorm and it was pretty busy but we were willing to patiently wait and it was understandable! However our experience was very unpleasant! Our server Devin was really the main issue! He messed our order up twice. My son ordered steak which came out overcooked and when it was mentioned our server did absolutely nothing to fix it! He proceeded to walk off three times while he was taking our order so no wonder it came out wrong! And then later on into our meal we seen him screaming in the face of the hostess!! I was appalled by the unprofessionalism and felt so frustrated for the young lady he was screaming at in the middle of the dining area which was filled with people! She was running around helping everyone, busing tables, and ev with the restaurant packed, she managed to get us seated in a timely manner and even moved things around to make us more comfortable! She was probably the best experience of our entire dinner! The food was pretty good and so was the atmosphere but our service from our waiter was appalling and I do hope there was some sort of consequences for treating another staff member the way he did! I do recommend eating here, but hopefully you don't end up with Devin as your server! read more

Date night! Had to try for first time due to great great reviews! Staff: Welcoming, polite and ready to accommodate without suffocating. Giving great service, attentive, knowing specials and giving recommendations. We ordered the calamari for our starter. It was served hot and perfectly cooked. Not rubbery and tasteless. Was fresh and could still taste the ocean! The marinara sauce was also delish! Ordered the 16oz sirloin medium rare. Came with a perfect char and actually medium rare! . The beefy tase was clear and there was enough char tase to make it perfect! Was tender and juicy. Ordered the chicken marsala. The chicken was juicy and tender. Not at all dry. The sauce however was not as expected. It was more like a beef based mushroom gravy. It had a sweet beefy tase with a mushroom undertone. There was no marsala taste. Marsala is supposed to be made with butter, garlic, shallots, marsala wine and mushrooms with a chicken stock. Even though the chicken was perfect the marsala sauce was not as expected. Experience: The over all Experience was wonderful. We ate outside on the patio on a beautiful night. One of the owners came to introduce himself and was very kind. The food and quality was very good. The price was reasonable and will definitely recommend. Will return again to try more! read more

This beautiful restaurant had a few hiccups when first opened, but now is in its stride. We sat at the bar, masterfully tended by Lindsay, and had the Linguine Porcini, which was expertly seasoned and delicious, and the Osso Bucco which was gigantic and perfectly cooked. The food is truly exceptional-so glad we have this treasure which was long in coming! At another visit we had the calamari which was also excellent. The service was swift and thoughtful. read more

Very disturbing visit to prominence. My food was delivered in an extremely odd manor. Hot appetizer first then cold salad then hot meal. Very unconventional. Our server disappeared after taking our order and never returned until it was time to ask for dessert. The "owner" was very intrusive into our dinner and while checking on us is nice forcing a continued conversation was uncomfortable. The food was not great but better than most in the area. The ambiance and service were horrible. I would not recommend for the prices they charge to even get take out. I won't be back. read more
