This restaurant was a total disappointment when we went there on May 2, 2026. We had a group of 6 people. I should have known it wouldn't be good when the bread they gave us was most definitely stale. We had to wait a long time to get our appetizers and an even longer wait to actually get our meals. The appetizers were the only decent thing about the total meal. I had the stuffed shrimp - the stuffing was mushy and the shrimp were overcooked. They tasted like rubber. Three people in our party had prime rib. This prime rib was dry and tasteless - it didn't come with any juices at all! The broccoli that came with it was ice cold. Two others in the group had the fish filets - they were also not hot at all and came with a side of cold broccoli. For what you pay to eat here I expected much better than this. The restaurant was not busy at all - most of the tables were empty, so I am not sure why the service was so extremely slow. We have eaten here before and had good meals - but this last time was worst meal we have had out in a long time. I don't expect to be going back here anymore. read more

Old school vibe, not bad. Food: The salad came out dressed when I asked for it on the side. Ok, not the end of the world. I asked for shrimp in my dish and I couldn't find any, so I asked the server. She said there should be 2. 2 shrimp for an entree meal? I was speechless. So the meal in general aside from that was lackluster. Both the eggplant rollatini and baked ziti were just ok. Eggplant was cold and mushy, baked ziti... wasn't baked? Like it was just pasta w melted cheese on top and not a lot of cheese. The drinks were the best part of the meal. The check came and of course I was up-charged for my two shrimp lol. I didn't even take a doggy bag which is unheard of for us. Somehow we had a $150 pre-tip bill for just entrees and 2 drinks each. The bill was also not itemized at all for drinks so I couldn't even tell if it was right. check out Mama Maria's a bit further on 23, it blows this place out of the water and is half the price. read more

The bar area is spacious and inviting, and the staff is always on point! And from the beginning of the process to the very end, they did not disappoint. All of my guests RAVED about the food, everything was fresh and delicious. One of my guests said they had 10 meatball appetizers and another said they had taken third helpings of everything! Even I had to make time to eat at my own wedding, something a lot of brides skip! The soup of the day had almost no flavor. Water with chicken. Tons of great options on the menu. I chose veal Saltimbocca. Turned out to be two extremely thin pieces of veal and a tiny piece of prosciutto on a plate full of soggy spinach and some watery sauce. Nasty. The waitress was nowhere to be found after ordering. It's a bit of a strange lobby which was empty when we arrived. The hostess showed up and didn't greet us but gave us a look like she didn't know why we were there. A second after we sat down we were asked for our drink order. No time to decide and no wine menu given. We had to ask for the wine menu. The beer options were limited for our group as they prefer more microbrew types of beer and the IPA tap was out. When we chose the wine we were asked what's the number? The server didn't care to learn about the wine the restaurant serves only that you need to order bottles of wine by the number. There were some other strange things that happened while we were there which left us feeling like we made the wrong decision to come here for dinner. We went on a busy night and all the staff were hustling and providing excellent service. They brought us out Italian bread loaf with little breadsticks underneath with a side of their homemade garlic butter to start. I ordered a special appetizer which were mini clams in some sort of delicious marinade/broth and my brother ordered the mozzarella in corrozza which is a fried mozzarella sandwich (highly recommend if you love mozz sticks). For dinner I ordered the veal parm that came with a salad and a side order of spaghetti. Let me tell you the portion of veal was huge and their homemade special tomato sauce was to die for!! To start, they DO take credit cards and (on holidays at least) reservations. Walked in on a holiday to find a nicely lit, tidy space with lots of bare wood and cozy booths along the walls. They were nearly at capacity in our side of the dining area but the waiters and bussers were attentive and quick to check on us, refill drinks, and clear empty plates. The house salads were generic bagged fare with iceberg lettuce and a lonely plum tomato. The appetizers were the highlight of the evening and included some ho-hum quality but ENORMOUS scallops that were perfectly done. I appreciate a well cooked scallop, so this was worth a half if not whole star right here. Dinner included beef and chicken dishes, which, while cooked to the ordered doneness, were both drowned in busy, messy, bland sauces that were forgivable on the pollo dish and what would best be described as "MRE" with the beef. I almost want to add a star for the service staff and the glimmers of potential in the food prep, but am held back by the experience of being thoroughly unsatisfied with the entrees. I decided to not let it spoil the mood and to not give the staff a hard time on the holiday, but these plates would have been disappointing at half the price. read more

Italian food in a rustic lodge environment.. The portions were very generous and well executed. We had the tortellini which we loved, the shallots were a perfect addition to the sauce.
