    My poor Uggs
    Vicky W.

Having to leave even one star here is a lie. I honestly think the elder "gentleman" (I use the term loosely) running the place should consider retirement very soon! Seriously sub par (almost comical) "work" on my beloved Uggs. I should have known when he literally YELLED at me and acted offended when I asked if the boots could be cleaned as well as repaired, that it wasn't going to turn out so good. I shouldn't have left them there, and I kinda knew it. Boots ruined, lesson learned. This dude is gonna yell at the wrong person some day...seriously.

I wanted to like this place. Local small business close to work. The guy only did a half job repairing my work boots, then wanted a lot more money to finish the repair when I questioned it. He repaired the heel of my outsole and not the entire outsole although I was clear I wanted the entire outsole replaced. They were visibly in need of repair. He's kinda confrontational too. Get easily bothered. It is what it is. Oh well.

Made my vintage docs come back to life! Repair was $20 and shine was $10. Will definitely be coming back with my other vintage shoes.

Only part of the shoe that's fucked up.

Mr. Kim is a little brusque, but he's efficient, did a nice job, and is not too expensive.

BEWARE: Overcharged me and under delivered…read more Brought my favorite lace up boots to be repaired. The tongue was literally disintegrating. Charge me $120. Picked them up about two weeks later (that is not how long he said it would take - I was traveling and requesting the later pick up). He requires payment in advance, in full - this was a huge red flag to me, but because of the positive reviews, I let it go. Arrived to pick up the boots and the lace holes had not been cut in. So he did it while I waited. Turns out, the holes were too small for the laces. He damaged the end of the lace trying to get them through. Said I just need to work it a bit more but if it doesn't go through, he'd have to replace the metal rivets and charge me more. He was eventually able to get the lace through one of the holes and sent me home to do the rest. When I asked about the damaged lace, he told me I could tape it up or buy new laces. I got home to finish the job. Had to use my husband's tools to try and make the holes a little bigger. As a result, some of the leather started cracking off - is leather supposed to do that?? I'm so angry. In fairness, I did not call the owner back to give him a chance to fix this mess. I don't trust he would actually do it. I debated a long time before leaving this review. I don't like leaving such negative reviews without giving the owner an opportunity to make right. But, in this case, it didn't seem that he cared that the job was not done well from the outset - why should he do anything; he already has the money. Then saying he would have to charge me more so I could lace the boots? Seeing the damaged laces and telling me to just tape it or buy new laces? This is not someone who cares about the end product. I did buy new laces but the holes were too small for the these as well. I tried two with the smallest diameters I could find. It wasn't the laces. I recently moved to the area. My prior shoe repair person charges far less and would NEVER return the shoes to me looking as these did. He took pride in his work. The shoes always came back looking brand new. And, while not cheap (taking care of good shoes is not cheap), I never paid as much as I did at San Pedro Shoe and Handbag. Sadly, he's an hours drive, one way. May just do that in the future though. About the only positive with this entire experience is that parking is quite ample. Just thought I should warn you. Would strongly recommend AGAINST paying in advance.

Every time I walk into his shop, I'm greeted with seeing how diligent and tired he is to do it all by himself. Unbeatable prices too. In the many years ago, I've lost count of how many pairs of shoes I've brought to him over the years, and I trust him completely with all of them--especially my favorite name-brand heels and boots. He treats every pair with such care, and I honestly hope he stays in business forever because I'm definitely going to keep him busy! I tend to wear my shoes down "like cray-cray," which always makes me think of my absolute favorite fairy tale from childhood: The 12 Dancing Princesses. You know, that story about the twelve royal sisters who would sneak out every night to dance until their shoes were worn completely through? I feel like a modern-day version of them minus the dancing lol but just daily usages, every time I drop off a bag of shoes at Iggy's! It remains one of my favorite stories to revisit--if you haven't read it lately, I highly recommend picking up a copy. It's such a charming classic!
