We LOVE!!! Millstone. Everything on the menu is delectable. The prices are also great, and the service, too! It's a cute little restaurant off 17, and pretty easy to get in and out of. Beware of busy times during peak season or weekends, you have to get there early to beat some of the rush, but the food is well worth the wait. The biscuits are so pillowy, buttery, and huge! I also ordered the ultimate breakfast burrito and was pleasantly surprised at how amazing and flavorful it was. This has become a regular spot for us when visiting. read more

High expectations given reviews, but left with low results! A place to appease your appetite but not to enjoy. Let me explain, yes the biscuits are oversized, but the portion size are not so much in my opinion as other reviews state. You're served a big biscuit, potatoes, gravy, and/or grits...all carbs so yes any of these mentioned can be filling. I will say chicken serving was a good portion size, but lacked flavor just as the gravy. Other meat such as bacon was maybe one piece that was broken into bits. So I don't feel you get your money worth being it's not served to be balanced just mostly carbs even though my meal included eggs and bacon. Needless to say we left a half portions of our meals to be discarded by staff. Not one item we ordered we couldn't stop eating or nibbling at so we left most of our meals on table and left. We left wishing we had visited the breakfast place we'd patronized the morning before! On to the next eatery in hopes of finding a place we can add to our many annual visits. read more

A little pricey for breakfast, again, consider sharing, as the portions are very large! We order the epic breakfast burrito and the highway 17 breakfast. The biscuits are by far, the best biscuits I have ever had. Very light, fluffy and extremely deliciously fresh. The sausage gravy is very good as well having a nice distinct peppery flavor to it. All the portions that we had, and that we saw being delivered to the tables were very well proportioned on the large side. All the food that we saw and the food that we tasted were all very good. Service is very quick and very southern Lee friendly. Would highly recommend coming to this place for breakfast or lunch. read more

Excellent breakfast choice in the South Strand with several traditional options and some unique creations. When you get here you order and pay for your meal at the counter and when it's ready, someone will bring your food to your table. I ordered the Route 17 which is sausage gravy over creamy grits with scrambled eggs and chopped, crispy bacon on top. You also have a choice to f toast or biscuit. Get the biscuit. We took our first trip to Millstone today for takeout. The food is all reasonably priced and delicious. We had a variety of biscuits that were all great and I had the "Epic Burrito" which was phenomenal. There are several unique menu items offered, such as the "Biscuit on the Bayou" (crawfish and sausage gravy), biscuits with a hash brown on them, the daily special of Buffalo Chicken biscuit etc. The only downside was that we got back and a bacon / egg / cheese biscuit was missing from the order. I also had to remind them to give us the drinks. When I returned for the missing biscuit though, they gave me a 5 dollar gift card as well to compensate for the inconvenience which was much appreciated. We'll likely be using that in the upcoming days! read more

Solid 3.5 moved up to 4. I wanted to be blown away by this but sadly, I wasn't. It's a small, clean dining area and I liked the serve yourself coffee out of random mugs that they had available. The staff was friendly and helpful. I decided to try the chicken biscuit and gravy. The chicken was SOO good. Lightly fried and very juicy and flavorful. The biscuit was OK. It was drier than I had expected but smothered in gravy it wasn't too bad. The gravy was where they kind of lost me. There was no sausage in it, that I could see, and it was super peppery. To the point it almost made my eyes water. I'm hoping it was just an off day since they seem to be popular with their gravy. The coffee was good. I might come back to try something sweet. I'm embarrassed that this review didn't happen when I first dined here in July! Super friendly staff churning out some fine Southern biscuits. We rode our bikes up the first time and dined inside. Most recently we had our dogs and sat at one of the 4 tables they have outside. They even offered to bring us water for the pooches. On both visits I had the shaved ham and cheese biscuit and added bacon. (I know what I like!) I added a drizzle of honey this for round just for good measure. It was tasty and filling. My husband had the biscuits and gravy which he said was very good, and would have been great if there had been more meat in the gravy. He got a bacon biscuit as well. If you love biscuits you need to stop in and have breakfast or brunch! These are some of best biscuits I've had at the beach. read more

The food is good and staff is friendly. The restaurant was difficult to locate. We're from a state where U-turns are illegal so we found get there difficult. Nonetheless, that's our issue not theirs. The food was good and hot with very little wait time. My granddaughter ate everything on her plate. She had French toast sticks, eggs, sausage and potatoes. She enjoyed it. The biscuits are huge! The meat is fresh and delicious. I would recommend the sausage or the country ham. Although they did have a spicy chicken biscuit special that I regret not trying. If you're not into biscuits, they have other breakfast options. I'd suggest the D-Ray: Country ham, eggs, and hashbrowns. If you like bologna, go with the Clifford. The restaurant is somewhat small, so we had to wait a short bit for a table - although they have several outdoor tables, so on nice days, the number of accomodations basically doubles. So glad we changed our plans and decided to Millstone Biscuit Co this morning. This is my new favorite breakfast spot at the beach. I got The Millstone breakfast platter( eggs, home fries, and choice of meat, I got sausage... with a side of apples and gravy). My husband got the Country breakfast.
