    Shrimp and crab dip

I always get so excited when I know we are going to Dead Dog. We sat at the bar as usual and ordered cocktails. A cosmopolitan for me and something for him. We started and shared the boo boo bites. These are always delicious. Then I ordered a cup of chili and he ordered the egg rolls. My chili was good but I don't remember it being so spicy. No room for dessert. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

Scenic. A great spot on the inlet. All the ideal menu items for this type of saloon on the water. I loved my crab cakes and French Onion soup. Others had blackened fish sandwiches, fish tacos, and shrimp and grits. All good. There for a cold spell in November. Back patio was sunny, warm and buzzing at lunch. Fast turn around time and good eats...woof woof.

Fantastic restaurant, a definite must visit! This restaurant is covered with pictures of dogs that have passed away in a celebration of life and the general companionship of our furry friends. It reminded me a lot of a Día De Los Muertos style of remembrance. You might think this would make for a sad ambiance, but it was actually very inviting! Decorations of cute dogs on the windows, hanging lights, and cartoon style tabletops. The live music was very good too! The food was great. Complementary hush puppies were seasoned well accompanied by a delicious honey butter. The fried fish and shrimp were tender, crispy, and salted perfectly. No tails or veins on the shrimps. The chicken wings were decent, a bit dry, and sides were nothing too special. Certainly not worth paying a la carte prices for, but they did come with the meals. I was absolutely astounded by how fast the food came out considering the entire place was packed. There were so many employees working that the service was still excellent. The ambiance, location right on the docks, great seafood, bars, and live music make this a must for any families or people looking for a popular place to grab a drink and watch sports

Friendly nice folks food was real good and seasoned the fish tacos came with coleslaw and cilantro lime rice. We got spicy Korean barbecue chicken wings. They wasn't spicy, but they were flavorful and they tasted really good. Our server was excellent. They had live music and it was phenomenal the performers sound really good you gotta give this a try that everybody there was really nice folks.

Fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and Thai chili sauce

Date night on the Marsh Walk with delicious fried green tomato appetizer (with goat cheese and Thai chili sauce), and the 3 seafood entree. Good service on a busy, football Saturday night. Two big bars, an outdoor patio, and big dining room. They are on a pause for taking pictures of loved fur ones that have gone over the rainbow bridge, but love seeing the pics on the wall!

Was very surprised by all the dead dogs on the wall, but probably should not have been. My wife really enjoyed the goat Island sunrise drink. The fish tender bites were good with the tartar sauce was not so much. The tender bites were very, very disappointing. Some overcooked and tough "filet" over some oversize toast. The crabcake sandwich was disappointing as it was the very small side of over. Seasoned cold fries. The Caesar salad was good, however. The service from Zac was outstanding. And it was a bit chaotic, but with the live band playing it was a pretty good atmosphere.

This place was great! They bring hush puppies to your table as soon as you sit down, they were delicious. Food was good, our server was very attentive. The walls are covered in photos of customers beloved dogs who have crossed the rainbow bridge, which was very sweet. We came back in the evening for drinks and live music and got to experience HWY 17 rocks. WOW! They were so talented. Best live music I've ever experienced...and with no cover charge. Our night here was a highlight of our trip we will never forget.

Had to come back since now, our son and his lady have moved to the area. Donovan was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious once again and to be able to be outside on a beautiful day overlooking Murrells Inlet capped off our day at Brookgreen Gardens.

The food is astronimical!!! I had a really delicious turkey and avocado wrap that was awesome..The hush puppies as an appetizer were phenomenal and the cinnamon butter that came with them was so good. Service very prompt and friendly...A real recommendation if you want a great lunch!!!

This is a return visit. We went twice last year bc we had a gift card. However, the wife liked it so much that she wanted to go back again this year...which is a big deal for us bc we usually try to stick to new places...always wanna try something new. Parking can be tricky if you go when it is busy. There is a small lot right by the restaurant and then an overflow lot across the street (Warning: this lot floods very quickly and easily when it rains. Huge puddles form and make it even harder to find a spot and to drive/walk through the lot.) Upon entering, you'll notice lots of photographs...literal pictures of peoples' dead dogs. IMO, a little weird...but that's neither here nor there. The food has always been good. Wife loves the pulled pork...but especially the mashed potatoes that come with it. Delish! This time I tried the Crabby Cale sandwich. Good choice. However, the real MVP is always the complimentary hush puppies that come as an appetizer. Dipped in some of the honey butter...OMG! Service has always been great too! This time, our server, Julia, was amazing. Incredibly helpful, sweet, and polite. She stayed on top of everything and did it with grace and a smile. Kudos to Julia! We will probably see you again next year DDS!

Only complaint was the fries. They were bland and cooked unevenly. Will skip those next time but otherwise a great meal.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.

I had the She Crab Soup followed by a nightly special, Red Drum stuffed with a crab cake. The soup was OK but I didn't actually find any crab in it and it was kinda bland. The Drum was just awful - I should have sent it back but being in a large group I didn't want to hold everyone up. The stuffed Drum was the most expensive thing on the menu. It was tough, dry and WAY overcooked. The top of the Crab cake stuffing was burnt black. I suspect the dish had been cooked a day or two ago and simply reheated. Our waitress was wonderful, fast, efficient and got everyone's order right. She even put the TV on the Atlanta Braves game for us. I would probably try this place again, but I'd just order something fried.

The peel and eat shrimp was the reason we returned. Instead of the typical boiled flavor you find at most places, this tasted almost broiled, giving it a richer flavor that immediately stood out. It was absolutely phenomenal and easily the star of the meal. On our first visit, my boyfriend had the fish and chips and I ordered the catch of the day sandwich, both very good and well prepared. The view is beautiful, there is shaded outdoor seating, and the service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Because we enjoyed it so much, we came back again and started with the peel and eat shrimp once more. We also shared the wedge salad, which we had ordered the first time as well. It was fresh, crisp, and the blue cheese was excellent. We added the oysters Rockefeller and the tuna pizza, both packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. To finish, we ordered two sushi rolls, and once again everything was balanced and thoughtfully done. The flavors complemented each other beautifully. Every dish felt carefully prepared, and the overall experience was memorable from start to finish. We were extremely happy with both visits and will absolutely return next year.

The veggie selection was not appetizing in appearance. The fish selection was good but nothing special. The 2 was the result of the veggie selection looked burnt overcooked. The food came quickly and was a good temperature. 4. BATHROOM = 3 Clean and maintained. 5. PRICING = 2 The appetizer $16. Salad $16. Meals $42. Beer 20oz $11. Tax is 10%. Plus tip. $169 for 2 people. I would recommend to drop appetizer by $4 and wedge salad to $12. Beer how can a 20oz cost $11.00 for Sweetwater 420. With the push to get wait staff to $15 per hour. Someplace has to give and it will come in the tip area. So think of this it 10% for taxes and 20% for tip. I do not tip on full bill. Only food and beverage without taxes. That is a lift to see 30% for a couple of hour dining experience. If more alcohol from wine to mix drink it would be expensive. 6. OBSERVATION With some Does not meet expectations for food and price.
