Great experience! They were packed but we got seated right away. Multiple employees came up to make sure someone was getting us drinks within a couple of minutes of sitting down, then continued to check on us the rest of the time. I had guests visiting from out of town and was told Neal's was the best place to take them for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered French toast expecting something like brioche bread, but what I was served was simply two slices of plain white bread. The plate also included just one piece of bacon and a frozen sausage patty. The cost was $12.95, which felt completely unreasonable for what we received. I don't usually take pictures, but I was embarrassed and disappointed because I wanted to impress my guests--and they were not impressed with their breakfasts either. There was a wait for outside seating where there was live music so we decided to eat inside, it was loud and we had to move to a different table. It was clean and well laid out. All drinks come in styrofoam cups. Beer menu was lackluster, didn't see that they had anything on draft. We ordered gator bites but they never came which was disappointing. Surprisingly there weren't that many seafood options on the menu. The blackened Mahi Mahi was bland and I had to juice the whole lemon wedge on it to brighten up the flavor. Presentation was blah, everything comes on a handful of spring mix. Fries were flavorless. We had a different server for each stage of the dinner and it was clear none of them were communicating. We stopped here on a Thursday night, and were able to walk in and get a table on the back patio by the marsh. We started with the pepperoni breadsticks and beignets. Unfortunately we were really disappointed in the lack of response from management about our dinner order this Thursday evening. We waited approximately 40 minutes to be told that they were out of the item and they would make it happen to bring me a substitute by the manager. My spouse's meal was not brought out. The server was attentive and apologized for our inconvenience and prolonged wait. My spouse reminded him to please make sure the burger was cooked medium rare. 15 min later our food finally comes out, my spouse's burger is cooked well done as if they kept it under the warming lights and mine had half the portion of grits that it normally is served with. My spouse informed the server and showed him the well done burger and the server asked if he wanted a new order my spouse declined telling the server he needed to eat and couldn't wait any longer. . Now by this time we've been there almost an hour with no food. The manager nor the server offered us anything complimentary due to their delay and not having the menu item. (Mind you it's 6pm on a Thursday and the item is a staple on their menu) Needless to say the server did ask that something be done for our bill and the manager discounted the burger for 20% which the server apologized that the manager did not take into consideration how patient we had been waiting for food that should have been served in 15min from the time our order was placed not 40 minutes later.
