Even the most basic of options are tasty and fresh. I had the Vacation Sandwich which is Blackened Mahi with a tropical slaw on buttery toasted bread. YUM! Great experience! They were packed but we got seated right away. Multiple employees came up to make sure someone was getting us drinks within a couple of minutes of sitting down, then continued to check on us the rest of the time. The Buffalo salad with oysters was my favorite meal of the whole week! Their homemade blue cheese dressing set it off, and it was big enough for 2 meals. Our multigenerational table of 10 was a lot to handle, since our youngest was 3 and our oldest was in her 70s , but we thanked the crew at the marina, Blue Wave Adventures at Crazy Sister Marina, who recommended Neal's as a place beloved by the locals. I had guests visiting from out of town and was told Neal's was the best place to take them for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered French toast expecting something like brioche bread, but what I was served was simply two slices of plain white bread. The plate also included just one piece of bacon and a frozen sausage patty. The cost was $12.95, which felt completely unreasonable for what we received. I don't usually take pictures, but I was embarrassed and disappointed because I wanted to impress my guests--and they were not impressed with their breakfasts either. There was a wait for outside seating where there was live music so we decided to eat inside, it was loud and we had to move to a different table. It was clean and well laid out. All drinks come in styrofoam cups. Beer menu was lackluster, didn't see that they had anything on draft. We ordered gator bites but they never came which was disappointing. Surprisingly there weren't that many seafood options on the menu. The blackened Mahi Mahi was bland and I had to juice the whole lemon wedge on it to brighten up the flavor. Presentation was blah, everything comes on a handful of spring mix. Fries were flavorless. We had a different server for each stage of the dinner and it was clear none of them were communicating. The slaw and collards were good. You could hear the bathroom hand dryers throughout the dining area the whole time. Our experience really wasn't great but at least it wasn't terribly expensive.
