I was watching in devastation as Firemen worked, when a petite lady approached me and told me that I did not have to worry about anything. She was arranging for accommodations for us and all the details were being worked on. She was very professional and caring. I was skeptical at the beginning as I had never heard of the role of an Independent Adjustor but in the meeting that we had the following morning, she and her team explained to us who they were and what their role would be. After some hesitation, and yes prayers, we signed the contract with her. From then on, she became our Guardian Angel. I did not have to deal with the Insurance Agent or anyone involved. She became my advocate and best ally. Yes, it was a long process due to the amount of destruction, and delays who were out of Sheila's control. Now I know in my heart that The Lord sent her to be by my side throughout a most terrible challenge.
