Off the beaten path, into the beautiful hills and woods, is this town of Heritage Village I'll have to further explore someday. For now, it's All You Can Eat for $32! Lucky me!! The service was out of control great, especially considering how busy the restaurant is. The whiteboard menu and marker checklist is so smart and fun a concept. It invites gluttony and that's refreshing in these pricey days of eating out. You also feel free to explore menu items you might not if Ala carte pricing. This restaurant is located In a complex's that is a bit hard to find the restaurant but we figured it out We opted for the all you can eat option. This restaurant seems to have much better hot options compared to other all you can eat sushi. Here the sushi fish quality wasn't amazing the tuna was chewy and the combo rolls and tuna pizza were packed w bread crumbs galore. An excellent all you can eat sushi spot! Kinda off the beaten path, this restaurant is still convenient located close to an I-84 exit so don't let the drive stop you if you're further away. The interior is minimally decorated with several booths, tables, sushi bar and regular bar. Went in on a Saturday night without reservations and waited about 30 mins for a group of 4. Once you sit, you are presented the AYCE menu (which you fill out with a dry erase marker!) as well as the a La carte traditional menu. Every bite of fish was fresh, tender, and vibrant. My favorite was probably the yellowtail. If you're not into sushi, the AYCE menu includes hot kitchen food like miso soup, general tso chicken, lo mein and gyoza. The server was attentive which is all you can wish for at a place like this - get your money's worth! Highly recommend trying out this spot! read more

My wife and I have been learning to like sushi and after recently passing this place on the way to Guardians Farm (check them out) I decided I wanted to come in. We brought our two and 11 year olds which probably wasn't the best move, especially for the two year olds it was a bit much and took away from us being able to concentrate on the menu. I ended up getting the all you can eat sushi but my favorite things were the pork gyozo and crab rangoon appetizers. My kids both had noodle dishes that they tolerated but didn't love. My wife had the shrimp with walnut sauce which she liked and was a very large portion. Would definitely come back to explore more. read more

I like all you can eat option because you can try a little of everything. Lots of great kitchen choices and specialty rolls. My favorite was the New Milford. The tempura shrimp and jalapeños are a great combo. Favorite menu item is the Fried Cheese Wonton. They go down really easy. My recent visit I noticed they have fried ice cream. I ignored the few bad reviews on this spot because I'm here solo for a work trip and really wanted to try another AYCE spot and this was a 50 min drive from my hotel. It's Valentine's Day so I had a bit of a wait which was to be expected but after a half hour I was almost ready to call it quits but this couple started complaining to the host about their wait and complaining loudly about this family's kids in the waiting spot. Which, the family could have controlled the kids a bit in this tiny space, but they're kids. So the couple, the family, and another boyfriend waiting all started yelling at each other literally right in front of me standing there waiting, which wasn't a great feeling. I was about to leave but then I finally got seated. Once seated, the waitress seemed like she wanted to be literally ANYWHERE else. It's a bummer when you come somewhere and pay for the AYCE but then she never brought the menu back to order another round, didn't refill the soy sauce, never refilled my water. I've only done takeout here but the sushi is always fresh and delicious. I love the three roll lunch special during the week and it comes with miso soup and a small side salad with the delicious ginger dressing. I got the All You Can Eat, it's the best deal for what you get.. you get soo many options compared to other places I've been to. The food is fresh, flavorful, and served at the right temperatures. The service was quick and efficient. My sprite was always full. Everything was delicious and I'd love to come back and try more items! The sushi is such a large portion, I had left one piece of each that I couldn't eat. They don't charge for waste within reason. But overall for what you get, you'd make out pretty well. Here's a helpful tip for families dining with kids: Ask for two all-you-can-eat menus. Use one to place your appetizer and sushi orders right away. Then, when the appetizers arrive, submit the second menu with the kids' order--this helps ensure their food comes out around the same time as the sushi, which makes for a smoother dining experience when you've got little ones in tow. A tiny little spot in an awkward basement type layout. Although they've done their best with the interior, it looks fairly modern but it's dark, which IMO is uncomfortable. The edamame in spicy chili oil was good. My spider roll was pretty good not the tightest roll I've had. I don't like that they put mango sauce or mayonnaise spiced sauce on everything. So I made sure to order without it. The short rib ramen, at a hefty $35 a bowl, was more than enough for two meals. The broth needed some more richness which should be typical of good ramen. Absolutely LOVE Minami Sushi in Southbury. We have been frequent customers since the day they opened (lunch, dinner, all you can eat, all of it!) Their all you can eat menu is such a wonderful value with SO many options to choose from. They have always provided constant fresh offerings, delicious in flavor and we always get excited to return. There is plenty of parking outside and we have never had much of problem with getting a table or bar spot.
