First time getting take out from here. We ordered dragon roll and a crab roll. It was ok. Everything was fresh but lacked taste. It was also very pricey. $35 for 2 special rolls. Place is small and staff not overly friendly. We may try again for hibachi but most likely won't do special rolls again. There are other places we like much better. read more

I ordered sushi tonight for a quick dinner for myself. I got a great deal with by one roll get one free so I got to now and I got a cinnamon roll with crunchy onions which is delicious and a side of miso soup and a delicious rainbow roll which I gobbled up but I got a great picture at the end I recommend this place is very very good. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years. Never dissapoints! We love the sushi here! My daughter would eat it every day if I let her. The boneless spare ribs are always cooked to perfection. This isn't a 5-Star Chinese takeout, but there are so many people rating inferior places in Seymour with 5 stars, I'll cede to this place being 5-star in Seymour. They are 3.5 stars compared to what's in the Valley. Their name is deceptive. I wouldn't go here for Sushi. It's a Chinese takeout. Go to Karaku down the street for better sushi. The staff here isn't friendly. I'm big on customer service, but I don't expect friendliness at a Chinese takeout. What they do well is timely service and they are consistently good with standard fare that you would order from this kind of place (Idon't eat seafood of any kind at a Chinese takeout so I can't attest to the quality of any seafood dish). If you're hungry, this is a safe bet. Portions are fair and flavor is adequate. Overpriced like every other place. read more

FINALLY some good Chinese food in the valley! My husband and I have tried almost every place and have been disappointed. We almost didn't go here because we had only heard about their sushi but I saw they had a Chinese menu and decided to give it a shot. Everything was cooked perfectly. Prices were great. Kind of a hole in the wall place but seemed clean and the staff was super friendly. We'll definitely be ordering from here from now on. Fried rice was flavorful and not over cooked. General tso chicken was great. Loved the sauce. Egg rolls were very good and crispy. Chicken and string bean was pretty good but I wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken texture. The woman is kind of rude but her delivery could just be a cultural thing. However, the food was good. I bought the chicken and broccoli.

My husband & I had a late work day and didn't want to travel the 25 minutes to our usual sushi spot and given the good reviews, we thought we'd give them a try and order takeout. Not sure if it was the time we went (9:30pm), but the sushi rolls were warm and didn't seem to be put together with care. My husband couldn't finish the 2 rolls he ordered, just wasn't appetizing enough. I managed to finish my rolls- but ended up scraping off a good amount of "spicy" mayo, which actually just tasted like regular, warm mayo. The rolls just didn't taste...fresh. I went in looking for a quick sushi lunch. I left very satisfied. The sushi was very reasonably priced! 9.35 for three rolls is a lot cheaper than most other sushi restaurants (13-15 is most common). What stood out was not the price, however, but the rolls of sushi. I got the Salmon Avocado, the Tuna Avocado, and the Spicy White Tuna roll. While all three rolls were good, the Spicy White Tuna roll was particularly tasty. The people were also very friendly. The sushi took around 10-15 minutes, so not very fast, but not that slow either. It took over 2 hours for my food to be delivered and the restaurant didn't throw anything in for compensation yet I've pre paid on grubhub for a tip? I placed an order, sushi rolls and a dinner combo. The dinner combo of "Vegetable Chow Mein" is supposed to come with crispy noodles. Instead I received vegetables with pork fried rice. For one , that is not chow mein , and 2, I specifically didn't want any pork. When I called, they were talking over me and yelling. Asking me if I wanted to come down and pick it up at the restaurant to which my answer was no because this was part of the order and it was a mistake on their end . They admitted to the mistake but never confirmed a correction was to be made other than asking me more than once " will I come to the restaurant and pick up"? No I will no because this is a mistake on their end and I should t have to go out of my way when I played for delivery and received the wrong order . Very rude . New to the area and craved Chinese food after a long day of yard work. I'm usually very skeptical about fusion fast-food joints (ie Chinese Mexican food...not good for de bowels). However, gave it a try based on reviews. I got Chicken w Mixed Veggies and hubs got General Tsos with lo mein. The dinner combo comes with egg rolls. The food hits the spot, but it's by no means the best Chinese I've ever consumed. In some Asian establishments they burn incense as homage to Buddah. Problem with that is that the incense smell lingers and can get trapped in food. I noticed that taste in my husbands noodles. It's a weird thing to notice, but hey, I'm Asian so I can't help recognizing this stuff. I'll try other Chinese joints before heading back and will probably try to get sushi here over Chinese. read more

Really disappointed with my last visit. The seaweed on my sushi was inedible and chewy, which was gross. I couldn't eat it, so I asked for them to replace my sushi with a seaweed-free alternative. The owner refused to do it, even after I explained everything to him. I'm never going back there again- they do not care at all if the customer is happy or not. Don't waste your money going here. We ordered a chicken dish and a shrimp dish. First is the shrimp weren't even cleaned!!!!! The vein was in everyone. Both meals were bland and the quality was below normal expectations. Nothing fresh being served in this place. Pork fried rice was probably from the day before heated up. After calling to tell them how disappointed I was he hung up on me. I drive back with both dishes and showed him. Told him my thoughts and all he was worried about was not refunding me the whole amount because we are some of it. Finally there is a reasonably priced sushi restaurant in Seymour! I usually do take out at Sushi & Wok, but whenever I pick up food I always see people dining in. The sushi rolls here are always fresh and their Hot & Sour soup is always a must! The staff is very friendly and accommodating and I never have to wait for my order when I arrive which is great so I can get in and out fast. The best part about this place is the convenience (right off Route 67) and the fact that you can get 2 rolls for $6.95, including miso soup, at any time of the day! read more
