Interesting concept of Brazilian restaurant ~ it's a self serve buffet style with every day having a different list of foods they put out. For a Friday, they had a selection of 8 cold foods and 8 warm foods like garlic spaghetti, broccoli, potatoes and other Brazilians sides. When your ready for the meat, you go to the counter and request the meat you want, which is listed on the pamphlet. They cut the pieces and serve you the amount you want. It's a deal because you pay by the weight of the food~ a number card is given to you and that tracks how many times you go back for another plate weigh-in. While at the counter, you also order your drink which is delivered to your table. There was plenty of seats here and all first come first serve. You can leave you plate at your table and it cleaned up by passing servers and when your ready to pay, you bring the number card to the main host table to pay. My check was a good price. Overall a good discount Brazilian good deal, but you pay for what you expect. The self serve sides are very limited and it's a bit awkward staring at the staff across the counter. I didn't know what to order or they're options because there was no sign. My friend had to give me a pamphlet that was tucked away on the far left to know what they had. My meat was hot but by the time I made it to my table, which wasn't far, my food went cold. Still good, flavor wise, and cooked well. The side station left a little to be desired and felt very limited. They were clean and tidy in the stations. Overall ok experience. I don't know if I'd go back .

    My feast at Minas!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in EP! They offer a large variety of hot foods. There is a nice salad bar too! Their meats and grilled pineapple are phenomenal. So much to choose from: steak, chicken, pork and sausages just to name a few! The staff is polite, friendly, hospitable and helpful! Their prices are fantastic for the quality you are getting! Can't wait to go back!

There is a nice secluded area in the rear, and we sat there. Our server was good. She was outgoing and attentive. She was happy to answer questions, but she refrained from providing her opinion when my wife was trying to decide between choices. It is understandable. We ordered some cocktails to start. I ordered a vodka-based BLUE martini, and my wife ordered the prickly pear martini. Both were excellent. We started with the PRIME Sushi roll, which was very good. We ordered our entrees, which included the Kansas City strip, filet mignon, maple roasted brussels sprouts with bacon, and death by butter mashed potatoes. Everything was prepared well and was very sumptuous. We took a LOT home so we could share a spiced orange cheesecake, which was excellent. I have included photos of everything for your perusal. It is an expensive place if you take advantage of their costly offerings, but there are more reasonable dishes as well. We will go back.

They serve creative seafood and meat dishes, have an extensive wine list, and impeccable service. They have often had at least one plant based main on the menu for as long as I can remember. My diet has changed in the last ten years since going plant based and eliminating animal products. I saw a social media post from Mill's about their new vegan offerings and booked a dinner resy. These folks made our meal memorable: Marcus (our gracious host), Katie (our friendly server), the bartender (I didn't get her name), and the chef who worked hard to craft vegan dishes. The drinks, apps, mains, and desserts were 10/10. Fresh pasta, veggies, mushrooms were cooked and presented perfectly. I'm so happy to still support this place and have a chef that created sustainable options for vegans. Already looking forward to my next visit.

We chose a smaller table for four facilitating easy conversation. We continue to enjoy the subdued and somewhat old fashioned decor and vibe of the place. We ordered an appetizer which never appeared. The staff apologized and comped us a dessert. We also shared a bottle of sparkling water. For the main course two of us had the tasty short ribs, another the salmon and I had the duck breast. All these were served with interesting fixings. We also shared a side of fingerling potatoes. The dishes were good but I have had better meals here before. The servings were generous and each of us took something home. We shared a bottle of French Malbec - the Clos Siguier. It was one of the less expensive offerings but with good body (worth remembering) which complemented the meal well. I felt that the food/service/price did not quite live up to a five star rating. The check came to around $60 per head which was worth it. We will return.

Our favorite drink for a night out is a dirty martini extra dirty. The martinis here are NEVER cold enough. They are legit luke warm. So we have learned to ask for them extra shaken here. Not only were our martinis still not cold, but they were clear aka not dirty. We sent them back based on the color and our server brought the same martinis back with a side of olive juice. After trying them with the extra juice they had a dirty water taste to them, almost like the ice used to shake them was dirty, which is ironic considering they were barely cold. I hate to do this but we sent them back again and let the server know they simply didn't taste good and also were not cold enough. He ended up going back and making them himself and they were much better but STILL. It shouldn't be this difficult for a bartender to make a very standard drink. The food unfortunately was also very mid. The table behind us actually sent their food back twice as well and the manager had to come over. It's also worth noting I put in the reservation it was my husband's birthday and there was no acknowledgement of it at all. This restaurant is meant to be a splurge for a nice dinner out and honestly was not up to par at all. $300 dinner for two and I was extremely disappointed. Honestly don't think we will be back.

The burger I got was excellent, they were able to accommodate my food allergies, and the service was lovely. Unfortunately, it was louder than any bar I've been to in a decade. I don't know if it's normally like this on a Saturday night, or whether it was the individual parties that were happening there, but we literally had people jumping up and down behind us with more than one large group that was whooping and cheering intermittently, such that we had to absolutely scream to be heard by the folks at our table. I left hoarse. It was more like a club than a tavern the night we visited. Heads up--the ladies room is a single room, with no separate mirror/make up space. There were a lot of women who wanted to touch up or actually use the facilities the night we visited. Prepare for a line. We ultimately left and had a better social experience at the bar right across the street. I would definitely return to The Congress Tavern for lunch... but I wouldn't go back on a Saturday night.
